Counterfeit Hero

Once he needs to simultaneously conduct simulations, command, and develop tactics in solo simulation battles, it becomes apparent that he’s out of his depth. It’s like a boxing enthusiast skilled in various techniques competing in a ring against a professional boxer; his Turtle Boxing is airtight, but he still gets knocked down with a single blow.

However, Fatty gets more excited with each loss, whereas the Chuckna officers, who should be the bullies, rarely have the interest to fight Fatty a second time. Even if they win, they don’t want to continue fighting.

The winner steps down dizzy and sweating profusely, while the loser eagerly seeks another challenge... Zhang Pengcheng can’t help but find the situation both amusing and frustrating.

The reason is simple: Fatty, even in defeat, finds a way to make you feel like you’re the one seeking abuse!

In the battle with the Suss A1 Fleet, many ship captains, following orders, carried out almost harassing disorderly infiltration attacks on the Suss Fleet. Local ambushes, lures, traps, large-scale maneuvers, closing doors to catch the dog, stealthy warehouse relocation, deception... these tactics are commonly used. Yet, to use as many as ten or even dozens of different tactics at the same time on different battlefield segments and have them interweave and affect each other has never been done before.

Clearly, Fatty is striving towards this high-difficulty maneuver.

Under his command, the Red Team fleet in the simulation program exhibited an array of conventional and unconventional tactics. Though in execution and formation changes, there was naivety, and sometimes his intentions were blatantly exposed without concealment, it still gives those opposing him a terrible headache.

It’s like being in the ring with all eyes watching, this guy performing Turtle Boxing keeps launching waves of attacks at a professional fighter’s lower body. His excitement despite the obvious disparity in strength makes you feel unworthy of your victory. Plus, his occasional childish moves like Tornado Kicks, Monkey Stealing Peach, Black Tiger Heart Strike further make one feel like they’re watching a circus act!

Who would want to play a second round with him? Only someone with a screw loose.

On the virtual screen, two Red Team cruisers stealthily emerged from one side of the asteroid belt.

The Chuckna officers couldn’t help but look at each other, finding it both laughable and annoying... here it comes again! Fatty just won’t stop!

In the central battlefield, two of his teams were attempting to trap two Blue Team cruisers in a pincer movement; a destroyer on the edge was sneakily following a battleship from behind attempting to ambush its stern; another cruiser was darting around trying to lure the Blue Team destroyer squad into an obvious trap; the battleship squad was extending its formation trying for a flank maneuver...

Just with a glance at the virtual screen, the Chuckna officers can’t help but remember their previous battles with the Suss Fleet... having such tactics successfully employed against them... those Suss people were truly unlucky.

Two Red Team battleships dashed out from the battle group with a beautiful turn, and as they created an opening, two cruisers from the asteroid belt arrived just in time. After two simultaneous volleys in perfect coordination, the two Blue Team ships on the battle zone’s edge, originally in a firefight with other Red Team ships, instantly vanished into thousands of light spots on the screen.

”Multi-tier maneuver, feint to the east, coupled with four-ship temporary coordination...” The observing Chuckna officers couldn’t help but stir. Even Zhang Pengcheng and Marshall were startled.

As they watched the four Red Team ships successfully sniping the two Blue Team ships and then returning to confront the trailing Blue fleet, all eyes turned to a dark-skinned, middle-aged Colonel nearby.

This Colonel named Cliff Kingsman is the leader of the third Combat Staff Group in the Twelfth Group Fleet’s general Combat Department. It’s his signature technique to command a temporary firepower net formed by four ships for sudden strikes on targets outside the local battle zone. Just now, he had used it during his confrontation with Fatty.

When did his signature move get appropriated?

Kingsman also looked confounded. He swore that he had never met this Leray fatty before, let alone imparted his signature command technique to him.

This technique seems simple, but it actually requires many tips. Not only must you immediately identify a viable target, but you must also command the precise striking firepower formed by the four ships. The positioning, maneuvering speed, angles—all must be perfect. Many staff present had tried to mimic it, but few could command with Kingsman’s precision and ease.

Unexpectedly, with just one use in front of Fatty, Fatty employed it soon afterward in his own confrontation!

Though the execution and coordination between maneuvers were somewhat rough, it was nevertheless a successful tactical strike! From the process, he applied it far better than most combat staff who attempted to imitate it!

”Did you learn this command technique?” Zhang Pengcheng couldn’t help but ask the question on everyone’s mind.

”Didn’t he just use it?” Fatty was taken aback, hands busy pointing with his mouth at Kingsman, looking indignantly: ”I learned and used it, what’s wrong with that? It’s okay for you to use it but not me...”
