Counterfeit Hero

Fatty logged off. In the simulation cabin, the thunderous cheers abruptly ceased. Colonel Margaret stared blankly at Fatty emerging from the simulation cabin, her mind momentarily blank.

”What you asked me to do, I’ve already done.” Fatty put on the act of a master, so into character that he couldn’t pull himself out, with an air of a worldly expert, he said calmly, ”Whether Klaus can get out safely is up to you now.”

Margaret instinctively nodded, her mind still somewhat muddled.

She couldn’t quite connect the person who spat a face full of saliva at Sammon, shamelessly followed Feiyang officers back to the base, and childishly competed and sulked with soldiers, who thrashed thirteen Special Soldiers at the training ground, and peeped down her neckline from the balcony with this master before her.

However, no matter how she felt about Fatty, Margaret, who was obsessed with Mecha to her core, was somewhat conquered.

”General Tian...” Margaret’s eyes twinkled at Fatty, instantly filled with boundless admiration, tender and charming as if water could drip from them: ”You promised to guide my Mecha skills...”

”Teach my ass!” Fatty’s master demeanor was instantly thrown to the wind, angrily stating, ”Stop batting your eyes at me, business is business, first get Klaus out for me, if my money is short by a cent, I’ll fight you tooth and nail!”

”Fatty!” Margaret put her hands on her hips: ”Did I say I wouldn’t release Klaus? You won, and I’ll do as agreed. But how are we going to account for the time I just spent teaching you command skills?!”

”Oh.” Fatty thought for a moment, seems like that did happen. He immediately burst into anger: ”What are you yelling about, just because you’re right doesn’t mean you’re great. I hate being reasonable... damn it, what do you want to learn?”

”Fatty brother, I want to learn whatever you’re best at.” Margaret exhaled like an orchid, smiling brightly: ”Why don’t you take me as your disciple?”

”Whatever I’m best at, she wants to learn?” Fatty felt a bit troubled: ”The Caihua Sect’s three hundred and sixty bedroom skills, unhindered stride on the bed, are considered supreme arts, always taught to men not women, should I teach her?!”

On August 25, 2063, Mars’s centuries-old traditional sect tournament, after being interrupted by the sect war, finally resumed after several twists and turns.

This was originally a traditional event of Mars Free Port, vigorously promoted by the Fei Alliance, and tied to interests, which made it even more noteworthy during a period of emerging from ruin. Whether it was the commerce groups and enterprises gathered on Mars, the pirate mercenary army lurking in the Mars Channel, or military intelligence organizations from various countries, all focused their attention on this grand event.

The people of Mars Free Port were even more excited.

After the sect war, although Mars was in ruins, its resilience was also very strong. In just over a month, it restored its former appearance by thirty to forty percent. At this time, the Fei Alliance hosted this tournament to establish the order and structure for Mars Free Port, regardless of who wins or loses, this chaotic free world would eventually be brought on track. For ordinary people, this was a good thing!

Besides, even though the ticket prices were high, the tournament would be broadcasted live on TV, so gathering three or five friends, drinking while watching this tournament really was the most enjoyable thing to do after a hard day’s running around. At this moment, worrying about the future and livelihood was completely unnecessary. The pain brought by the war seemed to be cast far away. Life, after all, gained a bit of brightness.

The tournament started at three in the afternoon, and from nine in the morning, the central commercial district of Central City was cordoned off by Feiyang soldiers. Spectators could only park their flying cars far away and walk to the Seg Convention and Exhibition Center.

At this moment, the main hall of the Seg Convention and Exhibition Center was already crowded. The huge square venue was surrounded by tiered seating with wide sofa-style seats. The seating was divided into two levels, accommodating eighty thousand people to watch the match simultaneously. Those who could secure a spot here were at the pinnacle of Mars Free Channel’s billions. However, they could only find their seats in the stands; there were no seats for them in the closest semicircular private boxes by the fighting arena with the best view.

When Carolina and Zhang Pengcheng entered Box No. 1, Cheng Zhixuan, as the organizer of the match, was in Box No. 2. Standing on the semicircular balcony of the box, looking at those who were usually domineering and haughty to ordinary people seated properly in their seats, a sense of power emerged within him.

Mars Planet is big, the Mars Free Channel even bigger. Here, there are countless organizations, countless people, and countless wealth... but all these could only obey the ruler’s commands, follow the rules set by the ruler. No matter how powerful these people were in their enterprises, in their world, before the ruler, they were nothing. They had to sit where they were told to sit. Towards him, they needed to look up!

Looking around, Carolina and Zhang Pengcheng maintained outward politeness, but the divide and coldness between them were obvious to everyone. On the other side, in Box No. 3, Su Kezhou and the Longxing Association’s high-levels chatted and discussed fervently while sitting. In the further boxes were occupied by some high-ranking officers from Feiyang and Chuckna and the sect masters of various sects.

Cheng Zhixuan cast his gaze to Boxes No. 9 and 10......those were the boxes assigned to that Leray fatty and the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance. As the competition was about to start, the people from the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance and Fatty had yet to appear. The box was quiet, contrasting sharply with the packed main hall, making it conspicuously eye-catching.

Cheng Zhixuan snorted coldly.

That Fatty had already offended the Feiyang people deeply.

It’s said, after publicly humiliating Sammon, he actually sent eleven Special Soldiers to the hospital. Up to now, these Special Soldiers have yet to be discharged. A Major General from an already fragmented country, acting recklessly to this extent, can only be described as foolish!

Those fools from the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance, not knowing what’s good for them, following such an idiot, one day, they’ll pay the price! Moreover, that day isn’t far off!

After a brief opening performance, it was time for two male hosts to chatter endlessly. Although they talked boring topics, praising the Fei Alliance, introducing the history, rules, and participating sects of the martial arts competition, in the heartfelt dedication of these two former hosts, the atmosphere was still made very lively.

Even Cheng Zhixuan himself had the feeling that he was creating the planet’s history.

This feeling was really good... if it weren’t for that damned Leray fatty, who during the ruckus caused by the introduction of the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance, led a few War Gods from the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance into the box, standing on the balcony, waving to the surrounding crowd.

Cheng Zhixuan’s face turned iron gray.

And standing beside Fatty, Margaret was also somewhat distraught.

This Fatty was really too good at stealing the spotlight. His naturally strong desire to perform made people hate him deeply.

Turning her head to see Zhang Pengcheng and Chuckna officers’ chuckling faces, and Carolina and Feiyang officers’ stern faces, Margaret felt even more that standing with this Fatty was a grave mistake.

Colonel Margaret, turned out to be the green leaf setting off the flower that Fatty was. If seen by friends or foes in the Feiyang circle, it would be unbearable.

There are a few dead women, who’ve long wanted to see my jokes!

At the Emei Hongzhu Mountain Hotel, after going up and down the mountain all day, I didn’t accomplish writing a single word during the day. In the evening, using supreme willpower, I wrote this chapter first, and release it. Tomorrow, I’ll definitely find a way to sneak out, and try to write more. Not saying when I’ll make up the missing word count, but you guys watch my performance this month. Hmm, for owed word count, how about you hold onto the monthly votes and give me some recommendation votes?
