Counterfeit Hero

This scenario occurs in every corner of the Oasis Airspace.

The bandit army warships launch strikes everywhere, their ragtag appearance wherever they can intervene.

When the final chase ended and the few lucky Suss battleships escaped this terrifying star domain, over a dozen dilapidated warships shamelessly and recklessly gathered most of the spoils into their embrace. Signal lights flashed everywhere, greeting the Chuckna warships: ”Thank you, really thank you. Long live Chuckna!”

The Chuckna people could only watch. They had no objection to their saviors’ actions, merely seeming a bit dazed. Many Chuckna warriors even suspected that if this fleet had emerged when facing the A1 Fleet, perhaps just throwing a bone into the Suss Fleet would solve all the problems.

The cleanup operation went exceptionally smoothly, with the Chuckna Fleet observing and even assisting, the bandit army reaped a rich harvest.

Four Suss battleships, five Suss cruisers, and two Suss destroyers almost completely intact fell into the bandit army’s hands. There were also several warships of various sizes, though heavily damaged, many parts could still be removed and used. What excited Fatty the most was finding a Feiyang Unicorn-class battleship named [Pars] deep within the nebula!

This battleship, when discovered, was under the control of a Suss Mecha Team. The Feiyang people inside had either escaped via lifeboats or were completely slaughtered. After the Suss Mecha Team quickly collapsed before a group of bandit army Mechanical Warriors like wolves and tigers, this almost brand-new Unicorn-class battleship was freely acquired by the bandit army.

Deep within the AR-1862 star system.

The retractable passage of the [Holy Light] battleship and Chuckna [Vast] aircraft carrier slowly docked with each other. As the pressure balance indicator’s green light illuminated, the automatic hatch opened, and Fatty puffed out his chest, pulled in his belly, and led Fang Xiang and a group of bandit army officers into the passage with great strides.

At the end of the passage, inside the circular assembly hall of the [Vast] aircraft carrier, three hundred Chuckna officers and men wore elegant white naval honor guard uniforms and held Chuckna [Republic] style rifles, neatly lined up in three honor columns. On the opposite side, ship captains from the 1201 Fleet, under the leadership of Marshal Marshall and Admiral Zhang Pengcheng, quietly awaited.

When the aircraft carrier’s hatch opened and the bandit army officers appeared at the automatic door, the honor guard commander puffed out his chest and raised his head, using his trained resonant voice to shout: ”Salute!”

The honor guard commander’s voice echoed in the hall. There was no music, no enthusiastic handshakes, solemnity pervaded, and all the Chuckna people, including Zhang Pengcheng, ”swish” simultaneously stood at attention, raising their palms to their foreheads.

As Fatty and Fang Xiang, along with the bandit army officers behind them, were still in shock, a male and a female Chuckna etiquette officer approached in a military step and pinned a Chuckna 12th Group Fleet officer badge on their chests.

”From now on, you two generals are lifetime honorary commanders of our 12th Group Fleet.” Zhang Pengcheng’s voice was sonorous and powerful: ”With any order, we shall die ten thousand deaths without hesitation!”

Though the atmosphere was solemn, the bandit army officers felt their blood racing to their heads!

Everyone knew of the Chuckna people’s national temperament. They revere heroes and keep their promises.

As the third-largest nation in the human world and the only country never fully conquered or subjugated, named after an immigrant planet as their national ethnicity, the pride of the Chuckna people is ingrained in their bones!

Their powerful military strength and comprehensive national power make them a country that no nation, including the two superpowers, dares provoke lightly. They are inherently gentle and reserved, yet have an indomitable spirit beneath it all. Everyone finds dealing with this third largest nation a challenge. They cannot be forced into submission easily, nor is gaining their recognition straightforward.

But now, Zhang Pengcheng’s words and the actions of all Chuckna officers present showed they had already seen the bandit army as one of their own! This is the recognition of the Chuckna people. Even if Hastings himself came, he might not obtain such recognition.

In astonishment, Fang Xiang turned to look at Fatty, only to see his fat face smiling like a blossoming flower.

Fang Xiang pursed her lips, knowing the bandit army had earned the respect of the Chuckna 12th Group Fleet and won Zhang Pengcheng’s friendship. This also meant that at least in the Mars Free Channel, the Chuckna would stand alongside the bandit army in the future. No matter what Fiscella and Carolina did against the bandit army, they would first face the Chuckna people.

By the looks of Fatty’s smile, he was clearly feeling smug.

Seeing Zhang Pengcheng stride forward, Fatty hastily stood at attention and saluted, then exuberantly opened his arms to embrace Zhang Pengcheng, making the scene emotionally poignant......

”How do you plan to handle that Feiyang battleship?” Zhang Pengcheng asked quietly.

”It’s mine!” Fatty’s eyes widened, his pretense immediately tossed away.

”Then what about the agreed seventy-thirty split...” Zhang Pengcheng’s eyebrows raised, fiercely patting Fatty’s back.

”I never agreed!” Fatty refused to back down, pounding his fist heavily on Zhang Pengcheng’s back, teeth gritted: ”It’s all mine! If you dare steal, I’ll fight you to the death!”
