Counterfeit Hero

Fatty was timid and afraid of trouble from a young age. When bullied, he never dared to confront directly, often resorting to shameless tactics behind people’s backs for secret revenge.

If his opponent was too powerful, fearing another beating, Fatty would wisely employ a mental victory tactic. Once the others had left, he would secretly spit and curse a few words. The curses in his heart were endless, leaving him with no lack of choices, but the spittle had to be quick, precise, and powerful.

Although, after joining the army, he first encountered the Bear Coach, then war, gradually forcing him to develop fighting skills. But this spitting skill, he never gave up. Under the hail of bullets, his eyes and mouth grew sharper, and his spitting became increasingly skillful.

Even Deputy Commander Mihailovich of the Leray Command Department had been spat on by him, let alone this little Feiyang Major General. This precise spit landed right between Sammon’s eyebrows.

Caught off guard, Sammon was spat all over his head and face, reflexively using his sleeve to wipe it.

Unbeknownst to him, his face, already covered in mud and bruises, became a mess after being wiped with his dirt-streaked sleeve. The high bridge of his nose on each side turned black and white. His whole face looked as if someone had painted on it with ink. His sweat-and-dirt-matted hair visibly caught spit.

Seeing Sammon’s sorry state, seeing Carolina and the group of Feiyang officers shocked and furious, many Chuckna officers and soldiers couldn’t help but cheer!

Everyone knew that this surprise attack on the Suss Transport Fleet would never have been executed if not for Carolina’s insistence. In fact, at the start of the operation, the 1201 fleet had already been alerted by the bandit army and was ready to retreat. Yet, due to Feiyang Sammon’s ambition, they were forced to go to the rescue!

If all the Feiyang people did was make these mistakes, it might have been forgivable. The most hateful part was, during the rescue by the Chuckna Fleet, Sammon not only was ungrateful but used them as scapegoats to escape for his life! His despicable actions were beyond acceptance!

If it wasn’t for the consideration of the allies’ relationship and the overall situation of the war, the Chuckna soldiers would have torn Sammon limb from limb!

At this moment, Fatty’s spit was more refreshing than a summer ice cream! The spit on Sammon’s face was like a released anger from their hearts... an anger built from the lives of 34,000 brothers!

It took several seconds before Sammon reacted.

Fatty’s open humiliation made his eyes red in an instant. Like a raging bull, he charged at Fatty.

The two Feiyang officers beside him reached out to pull him back but failed. An irrational Sammon was instantly in front of Fatty, his fist, with white knuckles and throbbing veins, swinging straight towards Fatty’s face.

However, this officer, who graduated from the Military Academy with only three to five months of military training, was no match for Fatty, who ranked first in the Special Soldier training camp’s martial arts, gritting his teeth through war trenches, and learned the Little Kid’s martial arts madness, finally balancing yin and yang on Bonnie.

Not to mention that in terms of strength alone, Fatty was barely less powerful than an Arctic Bear.

When Sammon lunged at Fatty, Fatty coughed and pouted.......

This Fatty was going to spit again! This thought barely crossed the observers’ minds before, quick as lightning, Sammon, trying to dodge Fatty’s spit with a head tilt, got kicked in the stomach by Fatty’s lightning-fast foot, flying head over heels and crashing to the ground.

From start to finish, Fatty’s hands stayed in his pants pockets, without moving an inch.

”Stop!” Carolina, trembling with anger, could barely contain herself. Fatty’s spit was like a loud slap on Sammon’s face, also a slap on hers. Never would she have imagined that this Leray Major General, under her command, could be so brazen, completely disregarding her presence, beating Sammon and spitting with such impunity.

In fury, Carolina pointed at Fatty and scolded: ”Major General Tian Xingjian! Are you still a soldier? Your actions are just like a thug, a rascal! Remember your identity, the Feiyang soldiers, it’s not your place to.......”

”I was wrong.....” Fatty’s voice, quietly echoed.

Carolina, like a duck with its neck squeezed, suddenly fell silent.

Before her, the intimidated Leray Fatty, frightened by her severe rebuke, bashfully lowered his head, shuffling his foot in circles on the ground, mumbling: ”I won’t hit him anymore.... I won’t spit on him anymore....”

Emotionally overwhelmed, Carolina’s mind went blank. Never did she expect such a reaction from Fatty, and for a moment, her finger froze in front of Fatty, speechless with awe.

This guy before her, the widely rumored Leray legend who single-handedly captured the entire Mars Free Port, a Major General in high rank, was also.... the commander of her Mars Front Army’s First Army?!

Carolina felt dizzy. Glancing around, she saw the strangely expressive Chuckna officers and soldiers and the stunned Feiyang officers.

Fatty lifted his eyelids with a troubled face, carefully examining Carolena’s fingers that were close by, then lowered them again: ”I was really wrong... I won’t dare next time....”

”Pfft!” Margaret, nearby, finally couldn’t help but laugh quietly.

At twenty-three years old this year, and having spent twenty-two of those years by the Hastings’ side, Margaret was clearly more than just Carolena’s adjutant. Although many people knew that this vivacious, even somewhat nonchalant, pretty girl was the granddaughter of Hastings, very few knew that within the Hastings family, her rank was second only to Hastings himself.

When she was five, this rank was somewhat of a joke within the family. Due to Hastings’ doting on his only granddaughter, calling Margaret the Little Demon King was not an exaggeration.

When she was cute, you wanted to kiss her to death; when she was bad, you wanted to strangle her. Everyone in the Hastings family knew that whatever Margaret wanted, you’d better not compete with her for it. Whatever she wanted to do, you’d better not stop her. Just imagine, even when she burned Hastings’ beard, he merely laughed and intentionally shaved his beard into a short, hard stubble, hugged her so it tickled her into laughter, as a punishment.

With Hastings controlling the entire family, who would have the courage to reproach her?!

Margaret was raised single-handedly by Hastings. Perhaps it was because both the elder and the young were eccentric in ways ordinary people couldn’t comprehend, or perhaps Hastings’ unique approach to education, somehow when Margaret was ten, this girl whom everyone absolutely believed would grow up to be a witch suddenly changed her nature.

She became well-mannered and graceful. Whether in academics or skills like horseback riding, Mecha piloting, swimming, fencing, dancing, and music, Margaret excelled at the most expensive and top-tier school in Feiyang, where countless children of dignitaries and geniuses gathered, proudly taking first place.

When she turned fifteen, she continued to rank second in the Hastings family. But this time, not because others doted on and yielded to her. Rather, accompanying Hastings, freely coming and going from the Feiyang Army, observing and hearing, she displayed a military talent far surpassing the already admirable descendants of the Hastings family that ordinary people looked up to.

Just as no one understood Hastings, no one could understand Margaret, either.

Fresh, charming, elegant... At the very moment when everyone was frantically using every beautiful word to describe Margaret, following the end of her eighteenth birthday celebration, people suddenly discovered that the Little Demon King who had vanished for eight years had returned.

However, this time, the witch had grown up. She would no longer use a lighter to burn Hastings’ beard, nor tyrannically seize toys, bully kids older than her, nor play queen among the children of army leaders.

In essence, she was the queen.

Countless young talents bowed at her feet. In the night sky over Feiyang Capital, Hydefield City, she was the most dazzling star, the most enchanting tulip. When she appeared in nightclubs wearing a miniskirt, she resembled a bold Dorsey girl. When she appeared in a low-cut evening gown at a high-class private party, she was the most sexy and captivating princess.

You couldn’t describe her accurately with a single adjective. Noble or wild, sexy or elegant... to everyone, she was like a puzzle you always wanted to solve, constantly tempted by, yet never could figure out.

At the 15th airport, quietly, Margaret’s eyes, filled with amusement, wandered around Fatty. On this dull, tedious planet, she finally found someone who suited her taste.

She had encountered many who played by their own rules, and among them, she and Hastings were the top tier.

But now, she had met someone even more eccentric.

Margaret’s eyes curved like crescent moons, full of mischief. She suddenly recalled the secret document Douglas had sent her over ten hours ago. Someone looked up to by both her grandfather Hastings and Douglas must be... quite competent!

”Disperse, disperse. General Carolena, we’ll talk later if there’s anything. There are too many people here, not a good influence.”

Zhang Pengcheng’s voice interrupted Margaret’s thoughts.

She looked up to see Carolena’s livid face and the mischievous grin on Zhang Pengcheng’s as Fatty gestured urgently towards Sammon lying on the ground, playing the good guy: ”Medic! Quickly, he’s fainted!”
