Counterfeit Hero

However, thinking of Fatty’s expression, Margaret couldn’t help but feel both amused and exasperated. Initially, when Leray introduced such a despicable hero, their Military Department and government leaders hesitated for a long time, not knowing how much effort they had put into it.

”....You have some eye crusties here.”

On the training ground, the way Fatty teased Carolina appeared before Margaret’s eyes again. This Fatty is truly too bad. Fortunately, it was in an open training ground; otherwise, in a closed space, Fatty would definitely feign righteous indignation, baselessly accusing Carolina of farting in public!

Such a guy, considered a hero?!

If Fatty’s skills made Margaret somewhat curious, then the fact that Fatty is a mecha master took Margaret’s interest to its peak.

She discovered that not only did he defeat Reinhardt in Gazalin, but he also toyed with the entire Hunter Corps. Once he arrived at Mars, he even challenged nine top-tier mechanical sects one by one.

And in the intelligence gathered by Longxing Association, he and forty-nine other bandit army mecha pilots wreaked havoc in the Northern Alliance’s heavily fortified core area in Mars Central City, and their swift attack on the Northern Alliance’s main base, dealt a fatal blow, further fueling Margaret’s endless imagination about his mechanical control technology.

Unlike many girls, Margaret is a super mecha enthusiast.

In her house in Feiyang Capital, Hydefield, there are over three hundred of the top mecha from across the universe. Not only various collector’s editions, custom editions, and classic private mechas, but also military mechas from different countries ranging from as early as New Era 1856.

Everyone familiar with Margaret knows, whether it’s a New Year gift or a birthday gift, this little witch’s favorite is mechas. Hastings indulges her nearly excessively, whether purchasing mechas, mecha modification, or finding her the best mecha teachers, doing all without reservation.

However, compared to Margaret’s genius in other areas, her talent in mechanical control is quite ordinary.

The moon waxes and wanes; naturally, people aren’t perfect either.

People typically choose to avoid their shortcomings. However, a few individuals are exceptions.

Some have far greater proficiency in painting than in music. Yet, she doesn’t like painting but prefers to revel in her noise with a microphone in hand. Some, despite being basketball stars, find their favorite to be baseball, even though die-hard fans feel it’s unbearable to watch.

Moreover, these people possess one prominent trait: they enjoy it tirelessly.

Margaret is a typical representative of such people.

Perhaps because her father wasn’t a high-ranking official’s descendant but a top-tier mechanical engineer in Feiyang, from a young age, her obsession with mechas surpassed anyone else. Although lacking the talent for mechanical control, her top aspiration is to be a mech knight. Only in front of mechas does she shed her genius witch persona, with her emotions flowing unreservedly.

The one most aware of this is naturally Hastings, which is why he is so indulgent and supportive regarding mechas.

Because Margaret was bullied by an SM01314 character in the simulation network, he spent countless words comforting his cherished granddaughter, and tried numerous methods, found many experts, used advanced technologies and training equipment unavailable to ordinary people, to elevate her mecha skills to the current level.

This time, sending Margaret to Mars Free Port, the allure of civilian mechanical sects was one of the main factors.

Yet who would have expected, before Margaret even arrived, dozens of top-tier mechanical sects, including the second-ranked Mountain Breaker Sect, were all sent somewhere unknown by Fatty entirely. If not for Cheng Zhixuan finally finding Kirburn, the sect master of the first War God Absolute Kill Stream in Mars, to guide her, Margaret would have definitely pointed a gun at Fatty’s head and demanded he return them!

But now, Margaret couldn’t hold back.

Because she saw idle Fatty actually move a game simulation cabin into his room.

What kind of game would a mecha master choose?

Margaret, who likes wearing only underwear at home, paced around her room in a panic, with her long slender legs and perky breasts resembling an agile, sexy sprite.

She has a game cabin too; the problem is, what is Fatty’s in-game ID?!

**************

”Thousand-Mile Victory” is a large-scale realistic simulation game developed by Feiyang Republic one hundred and twenty years ago. Initially developed by an obscure game team, this game, unlike traditional simulation games, had significant differences. For the first time, they combined simulation systems and games, designing a stage for military enthusiast players to showcase their talents.

Early in the game’s history, it was simple and rough. Many aspects were still imperfect, and the initial players were just ordinary military enthusiasts. As the creative game’s reputation spread through military forums, more and more players entered this world. Eventually, not just ordinary players realized their wild ideas about military command here, but even grassroots commanders and military academy cadets participated, showcasing their skills within the game.
