Counterfeit Hero

The hysterical screams echoed in every battleship. The deep-seated hatred was completely unleashed in the brilliant explosions of the A2 fleet like fireworks.

Groups of Salerian officers and soldiers were scurrying around the battleships.

Former pirates, former Free Port faction members, former Leray soldiers... These frenzied Salerian soldiers embraced everyone. Some were laughing, laughing until they were out of breath, some crying, wailing loudly, heart-rending. They vented their emotions in every possible way.

No one stopped them. All the bandit soldiers knew that the explosions on the screen were of their enemies—mortal enemies irreconcilable till death!

At this moment, Saleria had already laid down its arms and accepted the so-called supervision of the Western Alliance. The Longbow Star System had been occupied by the Suss. The Saleria Army had become mere numbers confined in bases. Only they, in this lonely Free World, resisted alone with their Salerian identity!

The image of the flagship commanded by General Tolstoy, exploding amidst shouts of ”Long live Saleria,” was etched deeply in their hearts. It was a blazing fire, burning brightly, scorching their souls.

Others wouldn’t know how many times these Salerians, upon waking up in the middle of the night, couldn’t go back to sleep. How many times they had lit a cigarette, staring blankly at the starry sky in the direction of Saleria until the cigarette burned down to their fingers. All of this, every bandit soldier who lived with them day and night like brothers, knew.

These Salerian men dreamed of one day fighting back, to see the Suss people who invaded Salerian territory and killed General Tolstoy, fall before them. For this, they were willing to pay any price!

And now, the Suss Fleet, which had once stormed through the Saleria Border, was sent to hell by the Chuckna Fleet under their commander’s direction!

What could be more satisfying than seeing your enemies fall before you?

Amid the cheers that echoed to the skies, on the command bridge of the Holy Sword, it was quiet. Over a dozen officers from the Saleria Longbow Fleet, who had followed Fang Xiang to the Free World, stood silently behind Fang Xiang.

The shifting light from the main screen shone on their tearful eyes, making them sparkle.

In front of them, Fang Xiang’s face was already covered in tears.

”They ran, they ran!”

Fatty stared with wide eyes, one hand patting Fang Xiang’s shoulder, the other pointing at the area where the Suss A1 Fleet initiated their jump, his finger shaking as if in a fit. The flesh on his cheeks trembled up and down with the movement of his finger.

”I know!” Fang Xiang said, calming her excited heart slowly, glaring at Fatty in embarrassment.

This guy, even when comforting someone, could drive them crazy. She didn’t know whether to hug this messy-haired genius Fatty and kiss him, or assume the role of older sister and kick him.

”You know?” Fatty looked at Fang Xiang in amazement: ”Then what are you waiting for?”

”Waiting for what?” Fang Xiang wiped her tears awkwardly and puzzledly said, looking at the plans on the command platform: ”I wasn’t waiting for anything, wasn’t the battle plan executed completely?”

The important materials from the Suss Transport Ship had mostly been transferred onto the Armed Merchant Ship. Transport Ships including the giant transport ship and a captured battleship, two cruisers, two destroyers had already been towed to a hidden location, equipped with an optical deflection device and hidden, waiting to return to base after their thrusters are repaired.

Fang Xiang was confused when she saw Fatty jumping impatiently.

This bastard, not caring at all for the elated and excited emotions of the Salerian officers and soldiers, in the tearful gaze of countless eyes, he snatched the communicator from the command platform and opened the fleet command channel: ”Grab stuff! What are you all still waiting for!”

As Fatty’s voice echoed through the ship’s broadcast, the entire fleet fell into dead silence.

The bandit soldiers blinked their eyes, their mouths wide open in shock.

After a brief silence, everyone jumped up, bustling chaotically, rushing to their posts. Commands sounded out, calls and responses echoed throughout the ships.

The crying stopped, and laughter ceased. Each one was anxious. Whether a Salerian warrior or a bandit soldier of other origins, their minds were filled only with ”grab stuff.” For these bandit soldiers who saw everything with greedy eyes and would grab a handful of air while walking just to have something in their pockets, these words were simply an imperial edict.

Grabbing stuff had become second nature to every bandit soldier. This instinct was more terrifying than a dog finding a bone.

”This battleship’s rear thruster was hit...”

”There’s a Feiyang Battleship without power in this nebula!”

”I’ve been watching this debris for a while, there’s still stuff inside it.”

Fang Xiang gaped, watching the frenzied Fatty rapidly issuing command orders with skills and arrangements that were even more adept than her own!

One after another, the battleships were fully activated, with the stealth program of the optical deflection device removed, engines fully open, and thrusters at maximum. The Bandit Army Fleet, having moved to the edge of the Oasis Airspace, leaped forward like a pack of hungry wolves.

In the vast universe, over a dozen battered warships burst from the nebula, making their dazzling appearance.
