Counterfeit Hero

Time slipped away unconsciously amidst the heavy air and busy work.

When the dome of the port opened with a hum, the perpetually gossiping Suss Soldiers finally halted their endless speculations.

They widened their eyes, staring in shock at the starry sky at the port’s entrance.

In the high sky, battleships the size of olives formed a serpentine queue, passing sequentially by the space defense turrets outside the port. Not one was intact. Like a group of maimed and broken patients, these battleships dragged their heavily scarred bodies and slowly entered the port.

The port soldiers’ gaze shifted back and forth as the battleships slid by.

In front of them, the bow of a cruiser had a large hole, the main cannon was twisted and misshapen, and inside the hole, the body of a fallen soldier was stuck tightly. This area had clearly been sealed off by a bulkhead, leaving the bloody remains to sway before everyone’s eyes. Another battleship had half of its bridge blown away. The ruins inside the ship lay exposed, the broken steel framework, metal decks, and pipelines still bearing the traces of the explosion.

As one heavily damaged battleship after another passed before them, the mouths of the port soldiers gaped wider and wider. The crowd gathered larger and larger. A nameless horror sprouted in the hearts of these Suss Soldiers—a Chuckna Fleet, ambushed and yet able to leave two Suss A-level Fleets so battered; how terrifying must their combat power be?!

The A2 Fleet was completely gone. The A1 Fleet had basically lost its combat capability. Only four A-level fleets and two B-level fleets were left to deal with three Chuckna A-level fleets and one Feiyang B-Class Fleet. Can such a battle still be won?

A few hours later, the surviving battleships finally entered the port under the escort of the A3 Fleet.

The repair docks were instantly packed full. Repair work was almost immediately scheduled as the warships arrived. All repair workers were required to work overtime, the dock lights stayed on night after night, and the mechanical hum, along with the sound of transporting Mecha and convoys, filled the air without pause.

Repair personnel were busy with overtime, while ordinary soldiers tossed and turned in their barracks.

In the base, which housed hundreds of thousands of people, surprisingly few voices could be heard. Apart from the mechanical hum, there was only the cold, nighttime corridor, where dim lights cast shadows at the barrack corners.

No one knew when it started, but a rumor began to spread within the base.

Every soldier who heard the news fell into a deeper silence, stunned.

The Commander Brenridge and Maeda Youta of the A1 Fleet had already been imprisoned. It was their mistake that led to the defeat in this battle. What everyone cannot accept is that the A2 Fleet had no chance to join the fight at all. Their total destruction was because the enemy set up the Luu Zecheng Formation while engaging with the A1 Fleet!

During the fierce slaughter between two fleets in space, the enemy managed to form the Luu Zecheng Formation, delivering a devastating blow to the reinforcements... No wonder Ulianov overturned the table, no wonder Gershkov wrecked the entire office! One can imagine the rage of the Emperor Su and Military Department upon hearing this news.

It won’t be long before the entire Suss becomes the laughing stock of the universe!

Suss will be mocked not only by the Fei Alliance but even the Jiepeng people stationed in the Eastern Hemisphere of Blue Stone Star! For years, the forces that locked Suss within the Eastern Star Domain, aside from Chuckna, have always included the ambiguous Jiepeng nation. Even though both belong to the Western Alliance, their open and secret struggles have never ceased.

And now, the Jiepeng people seem to have found a better excuse to remain on Blue Stone Star, boldly intervening in this Suss-controlled Star Domain.

The Suss Saleria Front Army has no other choice.

Ulianov’s orders have been issued. This time, Gershkov will personally command from the frontline, with four A-level fleets and two B-level fleets fully deployed. Only by defeating the Fei Alliance and completely occupying Mars Free Port can the disgrace brought upon Suss by this failure be minimized.

In Gershkov’s words, this battle is a fight to the death!
