Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 92: Chapter 83: Battle at 5,000 Meters Above (Part 2)

The thunder roared in the sky, and the rain poured down in torrents. Inside the nuclear-powered aircraft, it was so quiet that even the sound of a pin dropping could be heard clearly.

Gao Gong closed his eyes, appearing calm on the surface, but his perception was at its maximum.

The world before him seemed to have changed. The seats disappeared, the aircraft disappeared, leaving only the dense Black Tide, wave after wave rising higher.

This special operation placed the greatest pressure on Gao Gong because he had to single-handedly cut off the radiation fields of five B-level Mechanical Beasts.

This is the price of reaching the top in one step.

The system task prompt sounded at this moment.

[Task: Beast Tide-Original Explosion Point]

Difficulty: Difficult

Task Brief: Terrifying mechanical wings shrouded the sky of the battlefield, tearing the iron curtain. Perhaps this would become the turning point of this beast tide.

Task Objective: Knock down 5 B-level Radiation Birds

Task Rewards: Experience +15000, Mechanical Legion Favor +1000, Colonel Kep Favor +400, Xiao Huang Favor +300, Mechanical Puzzle Fragment*1, Biological Weapons Blueprint*1

The Black Tide began to thicken, like flowing black liquid, and when the liquid ignited, black flames enveloped the world.

Amidst the skyful of flames, a gigantic black creature appeared in Gao Gong’s ’vision.’

With each of its breaths, a surge of radiation particles flowed in and out, and its wings flapped as large clusters of positive and negative charges began to aggregate and dissemble.

This was the origin of the stormy clouds and heavy rain.

Weather weapons, artificially creating earthquakes, tsunamis, storms, flash floods, and thunder, are strategic weapons controlled by a Level 2 Civilization, as dangerous as nuclear bombs.

And the B-level Mechanical Beast, according to level division, is a Level 40 boss template. It itself is equivalent to a small meteorological weapon of a country. Although it cannot destroy a continental framework, with the blessing of a beast tide, destroying a small city is no problem.

What Gao Gong was doing was temporarily cutting off their ’power supply,’ causing them to enter a downtime state.

The special Colonel looked at Gao Gong, and a thick sense of danger gradually seeped from this person.

Starting from his fingers, a rich crimson color spread all the way up, reaching the shoulders, and on the scapula, the red exoskeleton like that of the Reaper Queen gradually took shape.

Many Bio-Fusioners turned their heads to look at him. They were the Advanced Warriors of the Mother City’s Reproductive Corps, only due to their former superior Demon Mountain were they transferred to this rural place. Although they didn’t say it, they looked down on these country bumpkin Hunters in their hearts.

However, the biological aura emitted from the other party caused their Bio-Fusion Armor to automatically react, with black tendons bulging one by one.

The Bio-Fusion Armor is high-level biological armor with biological early warning functions. According to equipment levels, it ranks under Level 1 Civilization Black Technology.

”Salina!”

A short-haired woman with a scar on her face stood up, transforming into a two-meter-tall Bio-Fusioner within three seconds.

The muscles in her legs slowly tore apart, revealing two energy nozzles.

Aside from her, her four teammates were also like this.

The Bio-Fusioner is a 3rd Transformation profession, plus these Mother City warriors are Elite Templates. Five 30-level elites, combined with the black technology-level Bio-Fusion Armor, theoretically speaking, suppressing a B-level Beast is not a problem.

Unless this beast can fly, has mechanical armor, and is blessed by a beast tide.

Kep stared at Gao Gong, while the crimson on Gao Gong’s arm began to appear on his thigh.

Visible radiation glow began to appear in the nuclear-powered aircraft.

And in the visible distance, a ’giant bomber’ was engaging in an air battle with more than a dozen Security Corps fighter jets.

Although it was one against ten, it was the Security Corps fighter squadron that was being suppressed.

However, momentarily, three more fighter jets were caught and blown up at close range by the ’giant bomber.’

Gao Gong’s ’vision’ gradually cleared, and he could already see the true form of the ’bomber.’ It was a ’Giant Bombing Bird.’ He had seen one in the Metropolitan Area before, but that one was C+ level, and this one was a B-level leader.

The ’Giant Bombing Bird’ was twice as large as an ordinary bomber, with a length of 100 meters and a wingspan close to 120 meters. In addition to its mechanically folding wings, it also had giant bird eyes like searchlights, and its abdomen was rounder than a bomber’s, producing an unknown number of ’energy bombs’ inside.

It had no missile system or machine gun system. Instead, it had iron bird claws and a ’drone’ squadron. These ’drones’ were its offspring and were flying gun beasts, equipped with machine guns, protecting its flanks.

As these ’drones’ gradually grew, their ’weapon systems’ would gradually be abandoned, replaced by the gestation of ’energy storage.’

The ’Giant Bombing Bird’ made an agile ascent and descent, once again catching and blowing up a fighter jet, a hint of disdain flashing in its bird eyes.

However, in the next moment, a vague sense of danger appeared in its heart.

In the Black Tide, formed by the radiation field, a giant creature over a hundred meters high slowly emerged. It had six pairs of blade limbs, each giant blade growing and merging as it walked from its back.

[Hunter Domain unfolds]

[Food Chain Connection in Progress]

[Food Chain Marker Failure]

In almost an instant, intense flames burst from the mechanical bird wings of the ’Giant Bombing Bird’, resembling some form of booster, and the hundred-meter-long monster fiercely pounced towards the ’Giant Reaper’.

However, the ’Giant Reaper’ was a step ahead. Its six blade limbs transformed into a series of blade chains, fiercely slicing through the darkness.

The silhouette of the ’Giant Bombing Bird’ trembled violently, and in its two pairs of giant bird eyes, the radiance sizzled and instantly dimmed.

In the next moment, five Bio-Fusioners appeared in mid-air, simultaneously opening the energy nozzles on their Bio-Fusion Armors and grabbing onto the claw, back, and other parts of the giant bird.

The black muscles on the armor swelled crazily, with the arms and thighs instantly expanding to the thickness of water barrels.

The maximum power of a single Bio-Fusion Armor is three tons. When five Bio-Fusioners exert their full strength, fifteen tons of force instantaneously controls the ’Giant Bombing Bird’, and amid the gale, the giant mechanical bird crashes from the sky.

”Got it done!” The pilot let out a delighted shout.

[B-level Radiation Bird *1]

”Are you okay?” Colonel Kep looked at Gao Gong, whose eyes, ears, nose, and mouth were all bleeding, and asked with some concern.

Gao Gong waved his hand. Using his Radiation Field to collide with a B-level Radiation Field inevitably caused a backlash. If someone could touch Gao Gong’s skin, they would find that his body was hot to the touch at this moment.

”Why not deal with a small one first?”

”No, let’s take on the big one first!”

Gao Gong’s idea was correct: the larger the Mechanical Bio-Beast, the more it is affected by the Radiation Field, and the greater its energy consumption. As long as it is cut in time, the success rate of causing it to ’downtime’ is higher.

Like painting by numbers, before long, two other massive semi-mechanical flying species of the same size were knocked down.

Gao Gong’s eyes had turned crimson, a sign of the Reaper Cells boiling within him.

With those three B-level Radiation Beasts gone, the radiation intensity in the sky began to decrease significantly, and even the darkness began to lighten.

A bolt of lightning suddenly pierced through the darkness, heavily striking the nuclear-powered flying device.

”Damn it!”

The pilot, despite having undergone neural enhancement transformations, couldn’t react in time. Fortunately, the nuclear-powered flying device had no propellers, and its surface energy-resistant coating blocked most of the lightning damage.

Sparks flew inside the cockpit, and although various indicators on the dashboard began to rise, they ultimately held firm.

Amidst the dark clouds, glaring white light connected into a continuous sheet, and the pilot, having regained his senses, turned the control stick sharply. In the next moment, bolts of lightning turned into Thunder Spears, relentlessly striking down on the flying device.

Kep’s face darkened suddenly as the Bio-Fusion Armor transformed. The black eyes on the armor covered most of his face, piercing through the Radiation Layer, the Ionization Layer, and reaching the Atmospheric Layer. There, a giant bird-shaped energy body was crazily stirring the atmosphere, creating dark clouds.

B-level Radiation Life - Ionizing Radiation Bird!

”We’ll hold it off, complete the cut as quickly as you can!”

In the next moment, the remaining seven Bio-Fusioners simultaneously transformed, shooting out of the cabin.

Compared to Advanced Mecha, Reproductive Armor’s firepower intensity, durability, and control system all fall far short. Advanced Mecha can even directly connect to satellites for orbital bombardment.

But Reproductive Armor also has its strengths, such as close-combat burst, biological adjustment, and energy defense, all superior to the same-level mecha.

These seven Level 30 Mother City Elites made a move, instantly suppressing the Ionizing Radiation Bird, at least greatly extending its time to harness meteorological weapons.

The pilot let out a sigh of relief, just about to say something, when the cockpit shook violently. In the next moment, a door was ripped open.

A violent storm rushed in.

”Wh-who the hell is it!? Electronic sensing, thermal radiation sensing, advanced detection systems show no reaction at all.”

Gao Gong squinted his eyes, looking into the violent storm. The ’Prosthetic Eye’ saw nothing, but within the Radiation Field, there was a bird-shaped Radiation Lifeform. The intensity of this lifeform definitely exceeded 100,000, qualifying as a B-level lifeform.

’So, the last B-level is the Cloaking Bird, no wonder there’s no record of its kind.’

’The Cloaking Bird circled around, seemingly planning to launch another stealth attack from a different direction.’

”Xiao Huang, you’re on your own now, just remember to bring a parachute.”

”Parachute, what do you mean? Hey, how do you know my name is Xiao Huang?”

Before pilot Xiao Huang could finish speaking, another side of the cabin was abruptly clawed open. At the same time, the two ’blade sheaths’ on Gao Gong’s waist shot out. With a sound akin to a ’rocket launcher’ firing, Gao Gong’s figure vanished.

Why strengthen the ’Single-Molecule Hook Claw’? Such support equipment is primarily about ease of use, not equipment level.

In fact, the enhanced ’Three-dimensional Maneuvering Device’ was prepared specifically for hunting large Radiation Beasts.
