Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 81: Chapter 72: Soul of the Biological Weapons

Gao Gong squinted his eyes, touching the ’apple’ given to him by the Mechanical Ape.

He was certain that the danger mentioned by the ape was related to this white mist.

If he consumed this metal apple, the danger wouldn’t be completely eliminated but would at least dissipate significantly.

However, the reward for the third task chain might be reduced because of this.

”In the reward column of the task list, there’s an ’implantable biological weapon,’ which I’ve been digging graves for a long time and haven’t found.”

”After decades, if these biological weapons are ’still alive,’ they must have special preservation conditions, like this piece of white mist!”

Gao Gong twisted his neck, a flash of evil qi in his eyes, and expanded the Hunter Domain.

The next moment, a towering three-meter-high, blood-colored metal monster rose from the ground.

It seemed that due to having an ’leader template,’ this time the ’Reaper Queen’ had an exceptionally ferocious aura, with six metal blade limbs extending directly from its back, resembling six Scythes of Death, its pair of metal hook claws enlarged, blood hooks swelling and contracting with each breath.

The next moment, the mist rolled like dragons and serpents, a massive shadow circling around the Reaper Queen.

The Reaper Queen’s putrid yellow eyes gradually opened wide, its water barrel-thick neck slightly retracting, the tips of its six ’Scythes of Death’ lightly bouncing as if a skilled swordsman was adjusting rhythm in a duel.

This was its posture for facing a master.

A fierce wind suddenly rose, the surrounding mist was not simply being split, but more like being sucked into a wind tunnel.

The next moment, the ’wind tunnel’ revealed its true form, a gigantic blood vessel, twice as thick as a water barrel, descended from the sky.

Within the blood vessel, layers upon layers of flesh buds glowed like continuously blooming blood-red flowers.

The Reaper Queen barely managed to turn its body, avoiding the ’digestive mouth’ of the blood vessel, only to be tangled by the gigantic blood vessel.

This horrifying blood vessel was ten meters long, and it shockingly hoisted the two-story-high Reaper Queen into the air.

The other ’digestive mouth’ unexpectedly emerged from the mist, wrapping around the lower half of the Reaper Queen.

The flesh buds possessed a peculiar power, merely brushing against the steel skin caused it to start cracking, then its entire lower half burst with blood.

The Reaper Queen was not willing to accept defeat, the six ’Scythes of Death’ slashed with unparalleled speed, the crimson blades swiftly withered the surrounding cracks.

Simultaneously, the Reaper Queen’s pair of bloodthirsty steel claws began tearing at the ’gigantic blood vessel,’ attempting to sever it at the waist.

The battle reached its climax in the first instance.

The mist turned crimson, and the shrieks of the two monsters roared like thunder and lightning.

As if stimulated by the ’gigantic blood vessel,’ the suppressed radiation field on the Reaper Queen began emitting a blood-red glow.

One of the Reaper Queen’s withered limbs suddenly pierced out of the blood vessel, embedding into the ground.

The following limb followed suit.

The biological stems on the Blade Back suddenly doubled in size, the six blade limbs reversed, plunging into the ground, like a Fallen Angel descending to earth.

The mist blocked the radiation power in the air.

But not on the ground.

”Awoo, awoo, awoo—”

A large amount of radiation power surged in, visibly bulging the Reaper Queen’s abdomen.

The next moment, three pairs of ’bloodthirsty hook claws’ ruptured from its belly, simultaneously piercing the surface of the ’gigantic blood vessel’.

The Reaper Queen opened its mouth wide, rows of sharp teeth roared towards the sky, cracks between the teeth, digestive juices gushed out.

The gigantic blood vessel was violently torn in two amidst a mournful wail.

[You conquered the biological intention of the ’gigantic blood vessel’, experience +520]

Gao Gong awakened in an instant, the putrid yellow radiance in his eyes gradually receded, he licked his cracked lips, at some unknown point, his ten fingers completely transformed into ’bloodthirsty capturing legs’, the blood-red nails unconsciously swaying.

Along with it, Gao Gong’s ten toes transformed as well.

The previous ’biological mutation’ couldn’t reach such an extent.

Unlike the ’biological transformation’ of his fingers, although Gao Gong’s toes also became ’capturing legs’, they were significantly shorter, the hook claws presented a semi-metallic sheen, when stepping on the ground, there was a clear metallic clanking sound.

He glanced around and found a three-to-four-meter-long ’ragged sack’ not far off.

The only similarity it had with the ’gigantic blood vessel’ was their surface, densely covered with blood vessels.

’So these biological weapons have survived until now by foraging in the white mist.’

Gao Gong pulled the ’ragged sack’ over.

”Feels like it’s about done.”

Sensing the boiling Reaper Cells within him, he unknowingly scratched his scapula, for some reason, feeling a bit itchy.

The opponent was at the end of its ropes, whereas his condition was perfect!

The mist gradually parted, an elegant mechanical giant wolf emerged from within, this giant wolf had a ’Tiger Head Chopper’-class giant blade growing from its spinal bone, and when its electronic eye fixed on Gao Gong, a fury from deep within its bloodline flared up.

”Blade Wolf, among the C+-level Mechanical Bio-Beasts, is one of the few that can challenge the Reaper, and these two mechanical beasts are deadly enemies, bound to fight upon encounter.”

The old-school Mechanical Hunter, although not implanted with the Reaper bloodline, created biological weapons using a ’deadly enemy’ of the same level.

A peculiar sense of destiny.

”Perfect timing, if I don’t take you down, how can I prove I’m better than my predecessors?”

A flash of crimson yellow glinted in Gao Gong’s eyes, and six blade limbs and eight bloodthirsty hook claws came rushing forward.

...

”Director Du?”

Just as Du Zhaodi was watching the ’modern apes’ with interest, a voice suddenly resonated.

Zhou Cong and Zhao Mechanism emerged from the mist.

Du Zhaodi’s heart tightened, but she remained calm on the surface, ”You’re just in time, Major Gao just went after the Knight Order.”

”Knight Order!?” Zhou Cong’s expression changed, blurting out, ”Why are they here? Is this a trap?”

Du Zhaodi shook her head, ”Not sure, we were suddenly attacked by them, then Major Gao placed me here and hurried after them.”

”So those figures earlier, and the attackers, were all from the Knight Order?”

”It’s possible.”

Zhao Mechanism felt something was off and intended to speak when the remaining two exoskeleton warriors also arrived.

”Captain, we—” An exoskeleton warrior was about to greet but suddenly grimaced, raising his electromagnetic rifle.

”Captain! It was them that attacked us earlier!”

Zhou Cong was stunned, looking behind Du Zhaodi at the mechanical apes.

”They aren’t with the Knight Order?”

Du Zhaodi’s face also changed, ”Could this be the Knight Order’s backup?”

Zhao Mechanism suddenly sneered, ”Director Du, stop pretending, you’re with them, aren’t you? Gao Gong is probably collecting ’technical data’ right now.”

Zhou Cong wasn’t a fool; he just didn’t expect the other party to lie so blatantly. He quickly pinpointed Gao Gong’s location with an infrared scan.

”We’re going in!”

”That’s not happening.”

Du Zhaodi shifted her stance, blocking Zhou Cong’s path.

The mechanical apes noticed and each revealed ferocious expressions, surrounding the group with reinforcing bar spears ready to strike.

”We’re not enemies, Director Du.”

”Then don’t interfere with the ’Mechanical Committee’s’ work!” Du Zhaodi stepped forward, glaring coldly at Zhou Cong.

”Do you want to face a military tribunal?!”

Zhou Cong’s breath hitched, instinctively looking up, feeling the pressure from the woman’s aura.

Zhao Mechanism, seeing this, quickly said, ”Major Zhou, don’t forget the General’s instructions!”

Zhou Cong’s expression was conflicted; honestly, he didn’t want to choose sides—he just wanted to return to headquarters smoothly.

But trouble inexplicably found him.

A piercing wolf howl suddenly came from within the dirt fortifications.

Zhou Cong exhaled deeply, making up his mind, first giving a signal to the other two exoskeleton warriors, then saying with a smile, ”I’m worried Major Gao is in danger, helping him shouldn’t be an issue.”

The exoskeleton on Zhou Cong’s back activated, revealing two ’Beast Hunting Tubes,’ ready to entrap these monkeys with an ’electromagnetic net’ if needed.

”Cap!”

”What now?” Zhou Cong said irritably.

”See for yourself!”

Zhou Cong turned his head, seeing a dense red light oozing from the dirt entrenchments, forcing the white mist apart.

The brilliance of the red light was almost blinding.

”A high-intensity radiation field! What’s he doing, is there really a Radiation Beast?”

...

The ’Reaper Queen’ slammed the torn Blade Wolf to the ground, a pair of eyeballs slowly squeezing open beneath the blood-yellow eyes.

’It’ spat out words, ”This time, instead of a duel, you’re going for a gangbang?”

Three monsters surrounded the ’Reaper Queen.’

A mechanical hunter over two meters tall stood naked, with at least ten hands implanted on its body surface, each grasping a blood-splattered chainsaw.

An old dwarf, hunched over, with a chain axe over three meters long slowly rising from his tailbone.

The Motor Beast revved incessantly, blue smoke billowing from the exhaust pipe, with the upper body of a living person lodged in its ’seat area.’

’He’ gulped down the last mouthful of gasoline.

In the next moment, two flame whips on the arm parts ignited.
