Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 63: Chapter 54: Unmask the Traitor

Just like Gao Gong and Brother Iron Hide.

Fat Xiang was also targeted.

In fact, Fat Xiang only made a move a few times, but even so, the enemy was well prepared.

Electric shock devices, grappling ropes, and even a beast hunting gun specifically designed for large radiation beasts.

Fat Xiang seemed like a fixed target, with several more dangerous weapons, like a grenade launcher, ready on shoulders, poised to fire.

The coordination of these well-trained mercenaries even surpassed many Hunter teams.

However, the information they had was only the first version.

Some mercenaries suddenly noticed that this mutated giant had a super large flexible belt around his waist, and on his right hand, there was a large metal glove on the verge of deforming.

[Magnetic Sensing Gloves]

This glove can increase grip strength by 9%, plus 12% heavy blunt weapon damage, and also grants the ’Magnetic Sense Call’ skill.

Gao Gong’s countless training sessions finally paid off, and Fat Xiang’s instincts made him snap his fingers, which was the switch to activate ’Magnetic Sense Call’.

In the next moment, a bowling ball-sized metal sphere was immediately attracted from the ruins of the Old Friend Gun Shop.

This used to be Fat Xiang’s ’weight loss’ tool.

Each one weighed 70kg.

The mutated giant pinched the metal ball with one hand, exerting force heavily. In the next moment, the metal ball seemed to penetrate space and appeared in front of a mercenary holding a sniper rifle.

Like being hit by a cannonball, the mercenary was instantly torn apart.

Repeating the trick, in the next moment, a three-meter-long, bowl-thick iron rod was absorbed into the palm, the giant’s wrist deftly flicked, and the iron rod swept horizontally. Wherever it passed, three mercenaries had their tendons and bones broken.

Staff Species lv3 (Advanced): Once the signature skill of a well-known Monster Hunter, it was passed on by Aunt Xiang to Fat Xiang who had the same ability. Long weapon stun effect +20%, heavy strike damage to large beasts +15%, Additional State: Iron Wall.

Iron Wall: When blocking with a blunt weapon, stamina consumption -30%.

Without anyone controlling them, the three electric shock devices naturally lost effectiveness.

The mutated giant took the opportunity to lean back slightly, and the grenade launched shell almost hit his forehead.

”Fire, fire!”

The mercenary captain was momentarily stunned, then roared.

He hadn’t expected the opponent to have such bizarre equipment.

Bullets from a submachine gun hit the giant like raindrops.

However, the giant, with only one usable hand, swiftly spun the iron rod, shadows of the rod flickered, the wind from the rod howled, and in less than ten seconds, two more mercenaries were smashed to death.

The mercenary captain’s forehead throbbed with veins, this guy was much stronger than anticipated.

The vicious little eyes of the mutated giant suddenly focused on him, the mercenary captain swallowed a mouthful of saliva, just about to do something, when the iron rod, as if equipped with a scope, flashed a black shadow, entering through his mouth and nailing him to the muddy ground behind him.

Just as the situation was about to spiral out of control, the mutated giant suddenly dry heaved a few times, spat out several mouthfuls of yellow phlegm, and his body began to shrink steadily, and the bullets embedded in his flesh and skin fell down like rain, plop plop.

The time for ’Mutated’ had ended.

Originally, this skill could last longer, but Fat Xiang was subjected to too much attack.

The remaining mercenaries glanced at each other, casting their eyes on the unconscious target.

In the next moment, the machine gun sounded again.

Only this time, the gunfire came from behind.

Brother Iron Hide, along with two dogs, appeared behind the mercenaries.

Ten minutes ago—

With the third mercenary nodding, the remaining two mercenaries relaxed their expressions.

There was no tracking device on this vehicle.

”Woof woof.”

”Woof woof woof.”

”Woof woof woof—”

”You useless dog, you’re so spineless, I hardly tortured you and you started barking already.”

A mercenary laughed heartily.

”Talking to the dog has nothing to do with you.”

Brother Iron Hide suddenly retorted, sarcastically.

The person was first stunned, then furious, about to do something when the tank’s undercarriage suddenly opened, and a strange ’Doghead Tank’ fell down.

The tank’s muzzle had long been set to ’automatic aiming’ mode, sparking continuously and turning the person into minced meat in an instant.

Brother Iron Hide fell and rolled, diving into the vehicle’s undercarriage.

At the same time, the vehicle cover flipped open, another Human-headed Dog turned over and emerged, its eyes had a peculiar restless agitation, its limbs crawled on the ground, and the radiation energy gun on its back aimed at the helicopter not far away.

In the next moment, its body swayed, a thumb-thick beam of light flashed in and out.

Explosions, gunfire, shouts, all finally fell silent.

Brother Iron Hide gently patted his skull, confirming no malfunction of his auditory system, only then cautiously crawled out.

Five corpses, remnants of a helicopter.

And two Human-headed Dogs in patrol mode.

Brother Iron Hide immediately jumped up, mocking, ”When it comes to kidnapping, Brother Iron Hide is your ancestor.”

”Taking on five by myself, I actually have such strength.”

A moment later, his expression changed.

”Damn, hope the fat guy’s okay!”

...

Fat Xiang drowsily opened his eyes, only to see behind a wall, Brother Iron Hide cautiously peeking out.

Seeing Fat Xiang about to say something, Brother Iron Hide hurriedly stopped him.

”Don’t talk yet, your injuries are too severe, speaking will tear open the wounds.”

”I don’t know who the enemy is, or how many there are, but I know, the enemy is definitely not all dead.”

”You really are heavy, Fatty, almost crushed me to death.”

Suddenly, a low dog bark sounded.

Brother Iron Hide’s expression changed, it was a warning of danger.

”Go, go, go!”

Brother Iron Hide struggled to support Fat Xiang as they fled backward, but before they got far, an old voice echoed.

”Why are you running away, you mechanical brat, when you see Grandpa.”

...

”Biomechanical Technology” is the Knight Order’s alliance technology, supposedly derived from military technology of the Civilization Era.

From Gao Gong’s perspective, this ”Biomechanical Technology” somewhat resembles his own path, but it’s definitely not the same route.

Fusion ascension requires at least the accumulation of three levels of civilization to become an ”Alliance Specialty.”

Even someone like Gao Gong, a former Level 6 civilization powerhouse, doesn’t dare claim he can definitely make this path work.

Planet Civilization is only a Level 1 Civilization, so ”Biomechanical Technology” naturally can’t be a dual path.

But at least on the surface, Biomechanical Technology has similarities to Gao Gong’s path.

As ”Biomechanical Unity” commenced, Theodore’s elegant face turned extremely hideous, his pupils quickly reddened, and veins bulged from his skin.

Affected by this, the ten electric heating blades in his hand suddenly retracted, and the next moment, an electric heating blade stabbed out from his forearm, then the upper arm, followed by the scapula, and spinal bone.

And it seemed there were far more than ten electric heating blades inside him, at least visibly, more than twenty pierced out, and the number kept growing.

The other party’s aura also began to rise rapidly.

This guy seemed to have turned into a porcupine person.

Gao Gong coldly watched this scene, the divine light in his eyes growing ever brighter.

Metal Strong Food (Biological Transformation): Through the ”Reaper’s Stomach,” absorb the nutrients to strengthen yourself, designate one attribute +15%, duration: 10 minutes, cooldown: 6 hours

As the Reaper Queen’s stomach quickly churned, Gao Gong could clearly feel a special sensation emerging.

Almost instantly as this feeling integrated into his agility, Gao Gong exploded into action!

Do you really think I’m waiting for your big move? I’m not a Saiyan.

Gao Gong’s speed was nearly a quarter faster than before.

A flash of pain crossed Theodore’s hideous face, and the next moment, his flesh exploded, firing out five or six electric heating blades, at speeds comparable to bullets.

Gao Gong dodged only the vital areas, allowing the electric heating blades to slice into his skin, piercing his flesh.

[You take 21 damage]

[You take 17 damage]

[You take 24 damage, local skin enters a high-temperature burn state]

In the previous life, players from the Mechanical City faction farmed order knights monsters often because these ”humanoid monsters” had extra rewards.

After farming for a long time, people gradually discovered the trick, which was that in the enhanced mode of ”Biomechanical Unity,” the opponent would have a brief moment of rigidity.

And ”Biomechanical Technology” has a connecting equipment responsible for balancing ”mechanical” and ”flesh.”

As long as this equipment is destroyed, the damage dealt would be ten times normal, and it’s very easy to trigger ”One-Hit Kill.”

It’s just that in normal conditions, this equipment is often hidden deep inside the body.

Only during the rigidity of ”Biomechanical Unity” does it become apparent.

Gao Gong did farm it in the previous life but unfortunately did not achieve the kill.

Unexpectedly, this life fulfilled that regret.

The bloodthirsty hook claws plunged directly under the opponent’s chest, where the flesh rapidly withered, and soon grasped a faintly visible mechanical part, squeezing it hard.

Theodore let out a series of blood-curdling screams.

All the electric heating blades spurted out, and some could even see the neural line connections on the blade roots.

[You deal 1123 damage to Knight Order combatant Theodore]

[Your attack triggers a One-Hit Kill]

Theodore coughed up blood, looking at Gao Gong in disbelief, and uttered his last words with difficulty.

”The knight returns to the land of flesh!”

”Hmph, you think just because you’re dead I won’t have a way?” Gao Gong said coldly, turning his hand to snatch off the opponent’s head.

”As long as your skull isn’t busted, that’s enough.”

[You have killed Theodore, received 1220 experience points, area reputation +100]

[Knight Order favorability -300]

[You have activated alliance reputation mode, enemy (-300) [Knight Order]]

Under normal circumstances, Gao Gong could defeat this scissorhand combatant without issue, but to retain him was not so easy.

After all, the opponent is an agile close-combat expert, and would always escape if desired.

If the opponent were smarter, more cautious, Gao Gong’s methods wouldn’t work either.

Unfortunately, life has no if.

Gao Gong took three steps forward to the phone, pressing the armored vehicle’s onboard phone.

The call quickly connected.

”Hello, Boss.”

”Are the others okay?”

”Uh, the fat one is heavily wounded, but at least he’s not dead, oh right, Boss, I...”

”Return first, we’ll talk later.”

Gao Gong directly hung up the call, then pulled out the electric heating blades stuck in him one by one because he had absorbed enough blood just now, each wound closed up automatically, leaving only a shallow scar.

Meanwhile, the system’s task prompt sounded.

[Mission: Infiltrator]

Difficulty: Normal+

Mission Brief: An informant from the Security Corps sold a large amount of your data to the Knight Order, putting you and your teammates in danger. Root him out and let him know the reward for betrayal is bloodstained.

Mission Objective: Kill the Security Corps informant

Mission Reward: Experience +1500, Security Corps favorability +500, Aunt Xiang’s favorability +200

”Dare to hurt my people!” Gao Gong pulled out the last electric heating blade, slamming it onto the table.

”Courting death!”
