Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 87: Chapter 78: Mechanical Transformation and Biological Transformation (Part 1)

Daisila was much worse off than last time. Last time, she only had three arms cut off, her body relatively intact. But this time, the right half of her body from top to bottom was shattered, metal parts and mechanical circuits squeezing out from the shell. It looked like a cyber psychosis outbreak, with the mechanical body turning against its master.

As soon as Gao Gong appeared, the warriors who had just come down from the battlefield all breathed a sigh of relief, glanced at each other, and voluntarily withdrew.

However, after they left, they were astonished to find that the other party hadn’t even said a word, so why were they so ’obedient’?

The only exception was Matsushima Keiko. This Japanese girl had Perception exceeding 15 points, so she blocked Gao Gong’s mental suggestion. However, she seemed unaware of this, biting her lip, her large eyes filled with tears.

”You really showed up at the right time, if you were an hour earlier, I would have personally recommended cremation for injuries like this.”

On the operating table, Gao Gong’s fingers moved like a highly skilled pianist, elegant and rhythmic, as all five of his surgical arms were deployed.

This was the ’Five Manipulations’, an advanced surgical technique that not even Little Finger had mastered.

Gao Gong placed his other palm on Daisila’s forehead, initiating ’Memory Extraction’, and soon, dynamic images began to appear before his eyes.

The ’buttons’ on Gao Gong’s collar automatically lit up, revealing dynamic images of ’Daisila’ fighting two ’Gravity Leopards’.

The ’tearing’ damage of the mechanical leopard’s claws, the ’engine damage’ caused by the gravity skills, and the ’sweeping fire’ of the leopard gun.

All the attacks, all the injuries, causes and effects, were completely presented.

Knowing the source and type of damage increased the surgery’s success rate by at least forty percent.

Gao Gong even had the time to mix ’potion’.

”Don’t worry, she won’t die.”

Looking at Matsushima Keiko’s face scrunched up like a baozi, Gao Gong said casually.

The reason he dared to make such a guarantee was because, after changing professions, he had acquired two more pieces of Professional Knowledge.

One was[Medicinal Formulation], the other was[Prosthetic Rehabilitation], the former being medicinal concoction for the body, the latter correcting twisted prosthetics.

And these two just happened to be able to handle the injuries on Daisila.

”Are you sure she’s okay?” Matsushima Keiko widened her eyes.

”Not only is she okay, this could actually be a good thing. Not everyone breaks through on the battlefield.”

Matsushima Keiko was momentarily stunned, then quickly recalled, or rather ’watched’ the battlefield footage.

Indeed, relying on extraordinary firearm combat skills, Daisila severely injured a Gravity Leopard directly. However, another C+ Gravity Leopard appeared soon after, and with the two Mechanical Giant Leopards attacking together, Daisila had to switch from offense to defense. Eventually, with her body’s engines, wires, and prosthetic eyes all exploding, she completely lost her combat ability.

Gao Gong glanced at the system panel.

Name: Daisila

Bloodline: Sub-human Continent Martial Artist

Total Level: 28

Profession: Senior Mechanical Hunter lv15, Mechanical Warrior lv9, Sub-human United Staff lv4

Life Value: 42/317 (Severely injured mechanical body)

Physical Strength Value: 27/216

Mechanical Energy: 131

Skills: Assault Soldier lv9, Electromagnetic Gun Technique lv5 (Advanced), Basic Mechanical Combat Skill lv4 (Advanced), Three-Handed Stream lv3 (Advanced)

Body Transformation: Close Combat Mechanical Arm (Damage Rate 72%), Dragonfly Type III Internal Engine (Damage 85%), High-Power Internal Circuits (Damage lv31%), Kunwu Type Fighting Chip (Destroyed), Half-Electronic Brain (Upgrade Interrupted)

Gao Gong’s gaze paused on the ’Half-Electronic Brain’.

To put it simply, this guy’s injuries were like a software upgrade crashing the hardware, playing a AAA game burning out the graphics card, or rather, the fighting chip.

Seeing Daisila’s indicators gradually return to normal, Matsushima Keiko sighed in relief, hesitated, then deeply bowed.

”Thank you, Mr. Gao, for saving Daisila’s life once again.”

”No big deal, how could I let one of my subordinates die without trying to save them,” Gao Gong waved his hand casually, looked up and down this half-mechanical body, and said offhandedly, ”How about I take this opportunity to give her a breast augmentation?”

Their metal chest had perfect curves, but the real chest looked somewhat ordinary, almost asymmetrical.

”Breast augmentation?” Matsushima Keiko’s eyes lit up, ”Mr. Gao, this move is truly wise to the extreme!”

”Instead of breast augmentation, how about giving me a ’Mr. Great Tree’s Mighty Type’, then maybe I can make use of it.”

The sound system on the operating table transmitted ’Daisila’s’ voice, although the voice was somewhat muffled.

”You’re awake,” Gao Gong showed an unsurprised expression.

”Yes, boss, what do you think of my idea?”

Gao Gong didn’t respond, he said, ”I’ll give you two options, one is I can reinstall your body system right now, but the key components you have are all Sub-human Continent specialized goods, and there are no replacements here.”

”How much will the strength decrease?”

”By 50%.”

Daisila fell silent. With the previous prosthetic replacement, she had already lost 20% of her strength. If she loses another 50%, she would be completely out of the ranks of frontline Mechanical Hunters.

”What’s the other option?”

”I can perform a deeper mechanical transformation on you, allowing you to fully upgrade your electronic brain.”

Gao Gong found a chair and sat down, saying with interest, ”There’s just one problem, the price is not cheap.”

”How much? Can it be reimbursed?” Matsushima Keiko quickly asked.

Daisila understood Gao Gong’s implication, hesitated for a moment, and still somewhat incredulously said, ”Are you saying you can break the limits of a Mechanical Hunter?”

”Theoretically speaking, yes,” Gao Gong smiled, ”Of course, there are risks with every transformation, and I can’t guarantee.”

Daisila was silent for a moment and said, ”If you can really achieve this, I’m willing to embed a loyalty command in the bottom logic of my electronic brain, serving you for life...”

”No need for life, I’m not a corporate vampire, not interested in your personal sovereignty,” Gao Gong raised three fingers, ”Three years, I only need sovereignty over your mechanical body for three years. After three years, you can choose to leave, and I won’t stop you.”

Daisila was stunned for a moment; this condition was unexpectedly lenient.

Working for three years in exchange for a higher-level, unprecedented mechanical body wasn’t a bad deal. Of course, if she died within those three years, she could only blame her bad luck.

”Okay, but are you sure you only want three years?”

”Three years are enough.”

Gao Gong shrugged, after three years, either the Cyber Tide would erupt, and the Mechanical Split Star would explode, prompting him to escape; or he would successfully prevent the Cyber Tide and complete the ultimate mission of this ’Cyber Test Field,’ stepping into the interstellar.

No matter the result, he had no reason to stay here.

...

The sixth-level Biological Transformation Factory

In Zhao Mechanism’s expectant eyes, one by one, the experiment tanks slowly opened, strong cold air emanated, and one by one, robust Biological Transformated Warriors emerged from them.

The transformed biological warriors stood nearly two and a half meters tall, with muscular builds and eyes like beasts ready to devour people, and their crimson pupils even radiated a faint pressure of a Radiation Beast.

Each Biological Transformated Warrior had an implanted biological transformation in some part of their body. Some had forearms transformed into biological scythes three meters long, some had hands disappear and replaced with two snake-like things, and some had completely turned into half-human, half-mechanical wolves, with drool dripping everywhere.

”The second batch of experimental subjects is more mature than the first one.”

The Prosthetic Doctor of the Security Corps nodded in satisfaction, ”It’s not just the bodily functions, but more importantly, the production rate. The first batch had a mortality rate of a whopping 90%, the second batch dropped to 50%.”

”I believe with modification adjustments, the mortality rate can be further reduced.”

”How’s the strength?” Zhao Mechanism’s eyes burned as he stared at these monsters, as if looking at rare treasures.

”According to frontline battlefield feedback, the win rate against D-Level Radiation Beasts is as high as 87%, and against C-Level Radiation Beasts is 54%; durability might be a bit lacking, but overall, reaching the level of medium-sized combat robots isn’t a problem.”

The Prosthetic Doctor exhaled, ”More importantly, compared to robots, they have no logistical pressure for supplies, they can completely utilize resources on-site, practically an inexhaustible special soldier species!”

”Mass production, immediately mass production!” Zhao Mechanism excitedly spun in place, ”This is a major achievement, a strategic-level achievement!”

The Prosthetic Doctor thought of something and suggested, ”Our single Biological Factory can only produce a limited number of soldier species. Why not collaborate with the one above?”

”Cooperate? Nonsense—” Zhao Mechanism blurted out, then forcibly swallowed the last word, took a deep breath, and said:

”Given their combat power and production rate, their future is imaginable. Such a killing weapon should be thoroughly controlled by our Security Corps, not shared with others.”

”As for expanding production capacity, I will find a way.”

The Prosthetic Doctor noted the other’s intention to monopolize the achievement, frowned, and reminded, ”Completely cutting them off isn’t quite right, it won’t look good.”

”Who said we’re cutting them off,” Zhao Mechanism smirked slyly, ”I’m not stopping them from cultivating these Biological Transformers. I’ve prepared plenty of biological materials for them.”

”Having the materials yet unable to produce the product, that just won’t do.”

...

Gao Gong looked at the ’biological materials’ continuously being delivered, clicking his tongue in exclamation.

”It seems we’ve all underestimated this former colleague. It’s only been a few days, yet they’ve already grasped the data thoroughly.”

The materials were delivered, but the problem was that most of them were severely damaged. More importantly, all the ’biological exoskeletons’ suitable for Classical Stream Mechanical Hunter modifications had been dismantled.

”I’ll report this to the committee!”

Gao Gong held back the cold-faced Du Zhaodi and smiled, ”Reporting is necessary, but not just yet.”

”Let him be arrogant for now. When biological rejection explodes, I want to see how he’ll handle it.”

”I never said that our ’Human Body Transformation Technology’ was without flaws.”
