His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2142: Chapter 618: The Mu Family Matriarch Steps In (Part 2)

Feng Fanghua came out of her office looking even more upset, the leader raised his eyes and then immediately lowered them: ”Mrs. Mu!”

”What kind of person is this? Are you sure the Qiao Yi couple introduced her?”

Feng Fanghua strutted ahead with her back straight as she carried her purse, with the leader about ten years younger walking beside her carefully explaining.

Yang Qin was inside, feeling wronged and shed some tears, calming down after a while and leaving when there was no one around.

Back upstairs, a colleague saw her with red eyes and asked softly: ”Are you alright?”

Yang Qin shook her head and forced a smile at him: ”Let’s work!”

Her voice was hoarse; the colleague frowned but since she wasn’t going to say anything, he didn’t ask more and they continued to work.

Later, she suddenly became uncontrollable, had to put down the stack of documents in her hand, covered her mouth and ran to the restroom.

Colleague Chen Zhuo watched her sudden behavior, his frown deepened, he thought he shouldn’t say anything but felt Yang Qin was going off track these days and wanted to help, yet couldn’t make up his mind.

Qiao Yi and Zhao Huai told him to avoid provoking her, smoothly hand over the work, and it’s best if she leaves.

He felt some pity, but also found it unnecessary.

Yang Qin finally lost control in the restroom, closed the door and cried. After returning to the city for so long, it was the first time she felt so useless, unable to say a complete sentence when reprimanded by someone so old.

Now, even Xi Meng, she dared not to confide in, in this vast Rongcheng, there’s really no reason for her to stay any longer.

The next step is to leave!

When Yang Qin returned, Chen Zhuo said to her: ”Mr. Mu wants you to go in for a bit.”

Yang Qin was startled, looked up at him and then immediately lowered her head: ”Oh!”

Because she was absent-minded, her work had errors, Yang Qin felt deep self-blame and very tired after coming out of the office.

Qin Mu was home alone drawing in the afternoon, at around four she received a call from Qin Mingzhu, asking her to help look after her child tomorrow, as Qin Mingzhu was going on a two-day business trip with Wang Huanyu. Qin Mu agreed, just as she was about to go downstairs to check things out, the door to her study was knocked on, she looked up to see Feng Fanghua coming in, and immediately put away her work.

”Mom!”

”Hmm! I have something to tell you!”

Feng Fanghua’s expression was a bit serious, Qin Mu became more nervous upon hearing her words, put down what she was doing, and stood up like a well-behaved student.

Feng Fanghua sat down on the sofa nearby, seeing a book placed on the sofa, she picked it up and held it in her hands as if it was just an ornament, not opening it but looking up at Qin Mu.

Qin Mu came over and sat down beside her, still feeling nervous: ”What is it?”

”Why are you so tense, you haven’t done anything wrong!”

Feng Fanghua couldn’t help but remind her when she saw Qin Mu being so cautious.

Qin Mu felt even more anxious but didn’t say anything further.

”I went to see Yichen’s secretary.”

Feng Fanghua said lightly, letting her put her mind at ease.

Qin Mu was somewhat shocked to look at her, wondering why did you go to see her?

”You and Yichen don’t tell me anything, but these days you two haven’t been speaking, asked you and you told me not to worry, so I had no choice but to start with others, today I went and forced her to tell me what happened that day.”

Qin Mu held her breath, thinking, you’re indeed my own mother-in-law, so bold.

”At the time, Yichen had some drinks and was half-asleep, you can’t blame this on him, that Yang Qin truly likes your husband, that’s why she had the courage to sit by his bed.”

”Mom, about this issue...”

”Let me finish talking!”

Feng Fanghua didn’t let Qin Mu explain and continued.

Qin Mu shut her mouth, and then Feng Fanghua continued.

”You should have known about her liking Yichen long before, right? Since you knew, why didn’t you stop it? In a way, you also bear some responsibility, you indulged her, you should reflect well.”

Qin Mu really couldn’t argue, her mother-in-law seemed to have a point!

She shouldn’t have indulged her, but she didn’t express anything, in such a big Rongcheng, there are plenty of women who like her husband, many try to find loopholes to get to her husband, what can she do?

Moreover, Mu Yichen didn’t take it seriously at all!

Qin Mu thought perhaps she truly was wrong, he didn’t care, she should care for him.

But if she really did that, wouldn’t their arguments, cold wars, happen sooner?

Mu Yichen most dislikes being distrusted!

Qin Mu kept her head down without speaking, Feng Fanghua gently squeezed her arm: ”Qin Mu, I’m saying this not to blame you, but that couples should value harmony, your daily life, you both know how to live it, how can you let it become inexplicable cold wars because of temporary acquaintances, are you still each other’s beloved one as you used to be?”

Qin Mu looked up, are they still each other’s beloved one as they used to be?

This sentence, said casually by Feng Fanghua, but to her ears, it felt as heavy as Mount Tai.

”Mom...”

Qin Mu wanted to say something to her but, after calling her, didn’t know where to start.

”Promise me, don’t freeze him out tonight, he’s busy every day, it’s not easy for him.”

Feng Fanghua said to her tenderly.

In terms of coercion and persuasion, in the Mu family, if Feng Fanghua claims second place, no one dares to claim first.

”I understand!”

Qin Mu obediently agreed.

Only then did Feng Fanghua feel relieved, glanced at her again: ”You two, always like this, it’s lucky for me that I’m in good health!”

Qin Mu chuckled lightly.

Seeing her smile, Feng Fanghua stood up: ”Then you get busy, I’ll go downstairs, if those two little ones come back and don’t see me they’ll surely ask about it.”

Feng Fanghua muttered as she left, but Qin Mu sat on the sofa for a long time with no choice, only able to stare at her own hands in a daze.

That day somehow escalated terribly, neither of them paid attention to each other until this morning.

Mr. Mu can be quite stubborn, but it just so happens, she has her period these days, haha!

Qin Mu thought, if he doesn’t make up with her today, she’ll just drag it on, wants to reconcile after her period, hmph!

”By the way! Yang Qin said she’s being transferred back, she’s currently handing over work with a male colleague downstairs!”

Feng Fanghua suddenly pushed open her door again.

Qin Mu looked up, not seeing her clearly before she had already closed the door and left.

Transferred back?

Already handing over with a male colleague?

When did this happen?

Qin Mu was completely stunned, Mu Yichen didn’t say a word about it.

And if there was a significant transfer, Qin Mu thought, logically Xi Meng would certainly tell her, but there has been no news.

Qin Mu sat there dumbfounded, even when her own phone rang later, it was a long time before she heard it.

After work in the evening, Mu Yichen took the elevator downstairs, halfway, Qiao Yi also entered, smiled all the while at him: ”Do you know your mother came today?”

Mu Yichen raised his eyes.

”Seems you don’t know!”

Qiao Yi grumbled seeing him, and then continued: ”I heard she went to see Yang Qin, didn’t Yang Qin tell you?”

Did Feng Fanghua come to see Yang Qin?

Mrs. Feng is extending her reach, did Qin Mu tell Mrs. Feng something?

Mu Yichen frowned, lost in various thoughts.

Seeing he was forming ideas, Qiao Yi didn’t say anything further, as they reached the first floor the two got out, then headed to the parking lot, heading home separately.
