His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2109: Chapter 602: The Agreement Comes Up Again

”Getting angry like this isn’t good! Don’t be mad, I’ll properly make amends, okay?”

Mu Yichen softly asked her, his gentle voice in front of her.

”If you truly want to make amends, just ignore me!”

Qin Mu huffed with anger and turned away from him.

”Have you forgotten what you once said, that no matter what, you can’t sleep back-to-back?”

Agreement?

Qin Mu suddenly remembered the agreement he forced on her, yet as she was about to get angry, she recalled that over the years, a lot happened, and she went to Paris multiple times out of spite, but he never used that agreement to suppress her. However, today, over such a trivial matter, he brought it up.

Qin Mu instinctively looked at him again, his bright, clear eyes made him smile: ”If you’re really tired, I won’t force you. Anyway, everything I do is to make you happy.”

Qin Mu...

”Okay?”

Mu Yichen no longer restrained her, just pinching her chin to make her look up at him, seeing his sincere gaze.

”Mhm!”

As the one who knows him best, Qin Mu felt she must remind him properly.

Mu Yichen sighed!

As he carried Qin Mu to the bed, she still felt a bit guilty. Last time, with her father’s matter, she wronged him, stayed angry for so long; this time, it’s about the book, because he cared for her. Alas!

If he had spoken to her properly, perhaps they wouldn’t have had a bad day today. Of course, it was probably worst for him, since Qin Mu spent most of the day sleeping.

”Tell me, what attracted you about that novel?”

Mu Yichen lay beside her, asking in a low voice.

”Now that I think about it, it’s just men and women falling in love. Haven’t we gone through that? And it’s not like we haven’t experienced ups and downs in the plot; it’s just that the author’s skill is too good, making you want to see the ending. Alas!”

Qin Mu couldn’t help but sigh while lying there, then turned to meet his eyes.

Mu Yichen half-closed his eyes, smiling lightly: ”Why do I suddenly not understand? Mrs. Mu means our relationship is quite dramatic?”

”Don’t you think so? From the first day I returned to Rongcheng, haven’t I experienced more excitement than a palace drama?”

Qin Mu looked at him without any evasion, just stating the facts!

Mu Yichen laughed again, his smile deeply enchanting.

”Seems Mrs. Mu holds grudges against me then!”

”How could that be?”

As she laughed, she was simply hypocritical to the extreme! But she could only smile like this; otherwise, Mu might snap a few of her bones.

”That’s good! Mrs. Mu, such an understanding person, naturally remembers only the good of her husband.”

Qin Mu always felt something was off.

”Speaking of which, I’m the one reading classics, not you. So why do you seem like you’re being so eloquent in your words?”

”I’m just trying to match your preferences. What, you don’t like it?”

Mu Yichen looked at her, Qin Mu felt a bit uneasy, always thinking his eyes could see through everything, she laughed nervously: ”I promise, I won’t stay up late reading anymore.”

”Ahem, that’s not the point!”

Mu Yichen smiled.

”Ah? Then what is the point?”

”Think for yourself.”

”From now on, everything is about you first.”

Qin Mu, feeling awkward, raised her head, feeling troubled after saying something like this.

”There’s hope yet! I’ll let you off tonight!”

Mu Yichen suddenly satisfactied, pulled back, and lay beside her.

Qin Mu...

Awkwardly, it just ended like that?

Qin Mu thought to herself no way, how could that be?

But he indeed lay there, seemingly with no more thoughts.

Qin Mu felt a sigh stuck in her chest, always feeling he was too much.

——

When Qin Mu woke up the next day, she still felt dizzy, lying in bed staring at the ceiling, blinked: ”Time to get up!”

She had just spoken when she realized her voice was even hoarser than yesterday, simply unbearable to hear.

Mu Yichen, however, chuckled: ”Don’t go to work today!”

”Mhm!”

Qin Mu thought to herself, if I went to work, how would I explain? Obediently agreeing with him.

Mu Yichen then opened his eyes, looked at her while raising his hand to touch her face: ”So obedient!”

Qin Mu...

She actually didn’t want to be so obedient, but if she wasn’t, what else could she do?

After breakfast, Mu Yichen still cheerfully left for work, before leaving he told everyone: ”Qin Mu isn’t feeling well today, so don’t let her be an eyesore downstairs.”

Feng Fanghua, who was about to stand up to leave...

Mu Zihao and the old master father and son also looked at Mu Yichen in confusion.

Mu Yichen just gave Qin Mu a glance, then turned to leave.

Qin Mu felt completely fooled by the dog, what was the meaning of this man throwing a bomb on the table before leaving?

——

Mu Yichen drove to the office building, just as Qiao Yi drove up, Mu Yichen waited for him.

”Mu, up so early for work?”

Qiao Yi quickly walked up, not forgetting to tease him.

”Is it that I arrived early, or you arrived late?”

Mu Yichen chuckled, today in a good mood, not minding him.

Qiao Yi stammered a bit, then chuckled with his head down, asking again: ”You and Qin Mu have made up, right?”

”What do you mean we made up? Did we ever fight?”

Mu Yichen frowned, was this person hoping for them to quarrel?

”Uh...”

Qiao Yi opened his mouth but couldn’t speak.

”And you, what message did you send Qin Mu yesterday?”

Mu Yichen suddenly remembered what Qin Mu mentioned last night, now that Qiao Yi was here, it was time to bring it up.

Qiao Yi opened his mouth but failed to make a sound, just feeling his chest tightening suddenly, nearly dead.

”Since when did you start not handling any pressure at all? Why are you always reaching out to Qin Mu? Is she your boss or am I your boss?”

Mu Yichen asked, his dark eyes sharply looking at Qiao Yi.

”Well, of course, you’re my boss, but isn’t Qin Mu your boss?”

Qiao Yi chuckled awkwardly, although embarrassed, he couldn’t lie to himself.

”What do you mean?”

Mu Yichen frowned.

”Did I say something wrong? I listen to you for everything, but don’t you have to look at Qin Mu’s mood for everything?”

Qiao Yi suddenly squinted his eyes at him, sneaking out of the elevator quickly before Mu Yichen kicked him, and quickly reached upstairs.

Yang Qin was working concentratedly while wiping her nose, hearing footsteps, immediately lifted her eyes to greet: ”Boss!”
