His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2134: Chapter 615: Perfect Cooperation (Part 2)

Xi Meng pondered that she must meet Qin Mu. She truly felt deeply sorry.

Xi Meng rushed from one dinner to another. Qin Mingzhu saw her from afar and waved vigorously. Xi Meng smiled and walked over with big strides.

”My sister went to the restroom. I heard from my sister that you are pregnant with your second child. I thought you’d be so swollen you couldn’t move! Seems having a second child after thirty is not a big deal!”

Qin Mingzhu chatted candidly with her.

”Who said it’s not a big deal? My body was alright with the first one, but with this one, I can’t even go to work!”

Xi Meng wasn’t upset. She knew Qin Mu and Qin Mingzhu had a close sisterly relationship and understood Qin Mingzhu’s straightforward nature, so she chatted naturally.

”Really? I thought it was just a myth! Hehe!”

”No, it’s not a myth!”

Xi Meng played along with her, and soon Qin Mu came out, saw she was already there, greeted her with a smile, and, after sitting down, couldn’t help but touch her belly: ”Seems this little guy is growing well.”

”He’s growing well, but I’m a bit worse, Qin Mu...”

”We took it upon ourselves to order you a plate of three-flavored dumplings. We’ll chat while eating.”

Qin Mu and Qin Mingzhu came late for dinner too, so when Xi Meng called, they decided to wait and eat together later.

The server placed a plate of dumplings in front of each of them, along with vinegar, then left. The three of them picked up their chopsticks and started eating.

Xi Meng saw Qin Mu didn’t want to dwell too much on it, but completely ignoring it wasn’t good either. Xi Meng ate two dumplings, then looked at her: ”Qin Mu, whether you want to hear it or not, I must say, I’m truly sorry about Yang Qin’s issue.”

”She came to find you?”

Qin Mu heard her mention it and didn’t interrupt, just asked lightly.

”Yeah! She told me about that matter.”

Xi Meng looked at Qin Mu, put down her chopsticks, and waited for Qin Mu’s response.

Qin Mingzhu didn’t know anything, felt a bit stunned but didn’t want to miss out, so her big eyes darted between them, ears perked up anxiously, fearing she might miss a word.

”What else did she say?”

Qin Mu raised her eyes to look at her and asked softly.

”She said she wrote a resignation letter!”

Xi Meng truthfully explained to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu’s eyes flickered, finding the dumplings on her plate suddenly hard to swallow. She put down her chopsticks, looked at Xi Meng: ”She wants to resign?”

Qin Mu questioned this, unsure, feeling Yang Qin wouldn’t easily propose resigning.

”She said she was reluctant.”

Xi Meng continued.

Qin Mu smiled bitterly, already having this expectation in her eyes.

”But I’ve already talked to her about the downside of delaying, she said Mu always hadn’t mentioned a word, I guess Mu is waiting for her to bring it up herself.”

Xi Meng elaborated.

Qin Mingzhu listened intently, never putting down her chopsticks. Seeing the others not eating much, she tasted from their plates, her large eyes keeping a close watch on them.

Qin Mu thought, even Xi Meng guessed Mu Yichen’s thoughts.

”Qin Mu, I’m really sorry, but Yang Qin was introduced back by me and Qiao Yi.”

Xi Meng turned and sincerely apologized to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu, lowering her head, looked at the little trinkets Mu Yichen had sent, gently shook her head, smiled, and said to her: ”It’s not related to you two, it’s Mu Yichen’s inappropriate handling, and Yang Qin’s own misguided feelings.”

”But...”

”Let’s eat, that little girl has already stolen and eaten them all!”

Qin Mu chuckled, gently squeezed her hand, then glanced at the dumplings on their plates. Xi Meng lowered her head, seeing her dumplings had diminished by at least half.

”Hehe! I think Sister Xi Meng’s three-flavored dumplings taste best!”

So, couldn’t resist eating a few more, Qin Mingzhu awkwardly explained with a smile.

”It’s fine! I don’t have much appetite this noon anyway, eat more if you want.”

Xi Meng smiled to comfort her.

”Okay!”

Qin Mingzhu quickly nodded and pushed her own plate towards them: ”You can eat more of mine. We three can swap and eat, then each can taste three types, isn’t it delightful?”

Qin Mu was helpless and shook her head.

”True that!”

Xi Meng said as she picked up her chopsticks, and tasted a wild veggie meat dumpling, nodding enjoyably: ”Very nice indeed!”
