His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2124: Chapter 609: Clearing Up the Misunderstanding (1)_2

Qin Mu watched her walk out from the office door, her gaze growing colder.

Yang Qin also felt as if Qin Mu’s eyes were killing her, her back feeling like it had been slashed multiple times, leaving it utterly ravaged.

”Misunderstanding!”

Mu Yichen, seeing Qin Mu infuriated, spoke immediately after Yang Qin left, his words firm and crisp.

Qin Mu, however, couldn’t muster a smile, seeing his wronged expression; she felt extremely furious inside.

”Misunderstanding? What did I misunderstand? Just tell me!”

Qin Mu coldly stared at him, taking her bag from her shoulder and throwing it towards him.

Mu Yichen instinctively reached to catch her bag, but wasn’t quick enough, feeling the sting of the bag’s strap against the corner of his eye.

”Ah! Are you planning to murder me without hearing my explanation? You better think it through!”

Mu Yichen, seeing her looking around for something to throw, quickly warned her and jumped to the other side of the bed.

”At worst, I’ll find another one! What is there to think through?”

Qin Mu spoke, then walked to the sofa, picked up a pillow, and threw it at him.

”Mu Yichen, how dare you let her sit on this bed, you...”

Qin Mu felt as if her arm would dislocate, too angry to speak.

Her eyes already teary, yet unwilling to cry, only feeling deeply humiliated, questioning why the man who claimed he only wanted her let that woman sit on his bed.

”Calm down, I thought it was you!”

”You thought it was me? Oh, a good ’thought it was me’! Humph!”

Qin Mu couldn’t help but laugh, though it was a laugh of disappointment, and turned to walk out.

”Qin Mu! Stop right there!”

Mu Yichen knew if she left the hotel, his chances of explaining would diminish.

Qin Mu hurriedly walked away, not pausing even as he called her by full name.

Only when she exited did she see Yang Qin standing by the wall, holding some documents.

Qin Mu couldn’t resist a smile again, yet her eyes remained cold as she turned and walked away proudly.

Mu Yichen did not chase after Qin Mu; since she wanted to leave, let her go, turning to look towards the office side, then put on his jacket and left.

”Come in!”

When Yang Qin entered, Mu Yichen was already seated behind the desk, no different from when he was in the office building.

”Boss...”

”What is it?”

”I called you this morning, but you didn’t answer; the office over there is urging, they need it in half an hour.”

Yang Qin cautiously explained her reason for being there, placing the documents in front of him.

Mu Yichen lifted his gaze, then opened the document casually, flipped through, found a pen and quickly signed his name: ”You can go now!”

”Yes!”

Yang Qin dared not say another word and left in tears.

She felt sorry for causing such misunderstanding between the couple, yet didn’t know what else she could do, fearing that whatever she did or said was wrong.

Considering it, the couple had treated her well, but what should she do now?

After the last time thanking them, she knew she couldn’t call Qin Mu anymore; Qin Mu’s disgusted expression deeply affected Yang Qin as she walked out, her heart bleeding.

Ever since returning to the country, the feeling of having strength but unable to use it grew stronger; she exited the hotel, sat in the car looking at the layers of buildings outside, suddenly feeling suffocated.

As for Qin Mu, she drove back to the studio.

Xiaomei was sipping a cup of milk tea, chatting with Yanzi, when she saw Qin Mu’s car approaching, immediately running to stand at the door: ”It’s really Qinqin!”

”Is the boss here?”

Yanzi asked curiously; Qin Mu wasn’t often at the studio, so when they rarely saw her, everyone was quite excited.

”Yes! But...”

Xiaomei, looking at the woman emerging from the car, felt that something was off.

”But what?”

Yanzi continued to ask.

”She doesn’t seem very happy!”

Xiaomei’s voice shrank, like she was muttering to herself, making Yanzi more curious; soon Qin Mu arrived inside, both of them staring at her.

Qin Mu lifted her gaze: ”What are you looking at? No need to work?”

Xiaomei and Yanzi closed their mouths, giving her a silly smile.

”I’m going to the office first, no visitors.”

Qin Mu instructed, then went upstairs with her head down; she wanted to laugh, but her face had been cold for so long she couldn’t, so she gave up.

After she went upstairs, Yanzi quietly asked Xiaomei: ”What’s up with the boss? She really doesn’t look happy, and seems a bit down.”

Yanzi even doubted her intuition; someone like Qin Mu should never appear defeated.

”It must be because of her husband, sigh!”

The only one Xiaomei could think of that could affect someone like Qin Mu was Mu Yichen.

”Why would it be Mu, the general manager cares so much about the boss, he wouldn’t make the boss sad or down?”

”You don’t know; perhaps when you get a boyfriend, you might understand!”

Xiaomei shook her head, acting like she was someone with experience.

”Ha! You sound like you understand everything; but with you and Zhao, you still seem clueless.”

Yanzi couldn’t help but tease her.

”That’s what you don’t understand; if a woman behaves cluelessly after marriage, do you know what that means?”

”What?”

”It’s a blessing! Only when with someone who truly loves her does a woman become increasingly clueless.”

Yanzi...

”Even saying it, you wouldn’t understand. That’s why I said hurry and find a boyfriend!”

Xiaomei lifted her hand, thought for a moment, then decided to go check on her dear Sister Qinqin.

She went upstairs after half an hour, making a special cup of coffee to bring to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu did not speak when she heard the knocking, only held her head, shading her eyes, sitting lifelessly behind the desk.

”I made your favorite coffee!”

Xiaomei walked over to her.

Finally, Qin Mu chuckled, Xiaomei had smelled the coffee aroma from the door, lowered her hand and took Xiaomei’s coffee.

But Xiaomei noticed the sparkling tears on her eyelashes.

”Have you been crying, Qinqin?”

Xiaomei panicked a bit, quietly asked.

”Haven’t cried yet!”

Qin Mu raised the coffee high to her lips and blew gently, took a sip; it’s pure, truly her favorite.

From the way she spoke, Xiaomei knew Qin Mu was pretending to be strong, feeling a pinch of heartache: ”You come here unhappy? Or unhappy so you came here? It makes me ache for you.”

Qin Mu looked at her, helplessly shook her head: ”You’re just worried, give me a report on recent work status!”

Xiaomei...

”What happened? Any difficulties?”

Qin Mu saw her suddenly quiet and asked her again.

”Uh! I’ll go get my notes!”

Xiaomei thought why did she come up here? And now having to report work status; boo hoo!

Watching her turn and leave, Qin Mu smiled, suddenly in a good mood drinking the coffee.

Within a few minutes, Mu Yichen’s call came through, she didn’t answer.

Then it was WeChat, she ignored it.

No matter what trick he used, she’d not respond.
