His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2121: Chapter 608: Quarreling at the Head of the Bed, Making Up at the Foot

Mu Yichen still tried to cradle her face, only when the two of them looked at each other could he be sure if he could comfort her.

Qin Mu, however, shook her head forcefully, then turned around when he was unprepared, using the blanket to cover her eyes.

Mu Yichen immediately followed her, embraced her from behind, propped up his upper body, reached for her hand, and finally turned her over to face him.

Of course, at this time, Qin Mu had already wiped her tears with the blanket, making herself look less disheveled.

”You’re usually so quick-tempered, how come you cry just like that?”

”And what about you, didn’t you say you wouldn’t get angry with me because of other people?”

There’s a slight tremble in Qin Mu’s voice.

”It’s all my fault, clearly promised things to you yet I failed to keep them.”

He suddenly felt self-reproach, his guilty yet tender gaze meeting hers, gently wiping the tears at the corners of her eyes with his thumb.

Qin Mu choked up, and then fell silent, her watery eyes fixed on him.

”I didn’t provoke him, he sought me out, one minute saying I’d give you face, the next he left me behind, even argued with me in front of dad and mom.”

Qin Mu felt aggrieved, being held in his arms again, reminded him of the unforgivable wrongs he committed.

Mu Yichen chuckled bitterly, only hugging her tighter: ”In this case, it seems like I am indeed the one being petty between us.”

”Well, that’s how it is!”

”Alright! Alright! Alright! Yes! I am the petty one, the jealousy king, I am unforgivable, okay?”

Though he wasn’t really good at coaxing people, there was something about him that made Qin Mu feel his genuine heart, eager to cheer her up.

Thus, she stayed close to him, nestled in his arms, saying nothing more.

Between a couple, if there’s no big issue, such small bickerings surely get resolved by bedtime.

Later, Mu Yichen laid down with Qin Mu, only when she fell into a deep sleep did Mu Yichen open his eyes again, obsidian eyes, concealing depths unfathomable.

It seems that last time, that woman wasn’t enough, he’d need more to solve things.

Gongzhi Ping’an, although demanding of his girlfriend, was clearly not picky when it came to bed companions.

Later, when Qin Mu turned over in her sleep, Mu Yichen came back to his senses, followed her movement, holding her from behind as he slept.

——

A sunny morning.

In Feng Fanghua and Mu Zihao’s room, early-rising Feng Fanghua stood at the dressing table, picking and choosing from dozens of earrings in the box, murmuring irritably: ”Why do those two always argue, never quiet down?”

”What do you think they argued about?”

Not hearing a response, Feng Fanghua turned her head somewhat impatiently to look at her husband still reading the newspaper.

”I don’t know the reason for their fight, but given their capability, at most was this morning. I bet with you they’ve reconciled by now!”

Mu Zihao finished speaking, glancing up confidently.

”Then you’re bound to lose, with my understanding of those two, definitely not reconciled. Even if they have, it’s just for show for us.”

Feng Fanghua chuckled sarcastically, believing that, with her son’s temperament, any argument will take at least two days and one night to resolve, and by the second night, her foolish son surely wouldn’t hold up, feeling a bit disappointed at that thought.

”Then you truly don’t know them well, after arguing in the restaurant last night, your son regretted it. Reaching the room, wouldn’t he have coaxed your daughter-in-law well?”

Mu Zihao thought more broadly.

Listening to his analysis, Feng Fanghua was pouting, they might have reconciled, yet felt internally unconvinced, why Mu Zihao always seemed more thorough?

”Your son’s only come this far!”

Feng Fanghua finally picked a pair of pearl earrings, holding them in her palm, then decided to wear them on her ears.

”Hoping for them to carry on fighting?”

Mu Zihao smiled and asked, knowing inside, Feng Fanghua is impulsive, speaking before thinking, and regretting afterward.

Feng Fanghua sighed, turned back helplessly: ”Honey, could you not know me better than I know myself?”

Mu Zihao smiled without a word, the initially fuming Feng Fanghua was amused by his quiet demeanor.

After years of marriage, merely a glance can communicate heartfelt feelings.

At noon Mu Yichen took Qiao Yi and Zhao Huai to dinner at AM with Jiang Zhiyuan, where they also ran into Gongzhi Ping’an.
