His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2112: Chapter 604: Car Stops in the Wild (Second Update)

After lunch, Qin Mingzhu finally stopped pestering her. Since the apartment was quite nearby, she decided to drive there, planning to rest a little and return with Mu Yichen in the evening.

On the way to the apartment, she accidentally encountered Yang Qin. She had heard Mu Yichen mention that Yang Qin lived very close by, but Qin Mu didn’t realize it was this close.

Qin Mu didn’t stop the car, but she could see Yang Qin, and Yang Qin knew her car. When her car passed by Yang Qin, Yang Qin instinctively glanced over. When she confirmed it was her car by the license plate, her heart skipped a beat, and then she turned to walk into the community.

Qin Mu saw Yang Qin’s expression in the rearview mirror, growing colder and colder.

Just before the person in the rearview mirror was about to disappear, they suddenly collapsed.

Qin Mu’s car came to an abrupt stop, and after jumping out, she saw Yang Qin had fallen at the community entrance, and a staff member also ran out from the security room.

”Don’t move her!”

Qin Mu shouted nervously, then immediately took out her phone from her pocket and dialed 120.

She only gently cushioned the head of the unconscious person with her hand. An ambulance arrived within five minutes and quickly lifted Yang Qin onto a stretcher and into the vehicle.

”I’ll follow behind you.”

Qin Mu didn’t get in the ambulance, but the medical staff on board recognized her and nodded before leaving.

Qin Mu was about to leave when she noticed the staff member standing dumbfounded at the entrance and said with a smile, ”I know her!”

”Oh!”

The staff member replied woodenly, still dazed after Qin Mu politely nodded and left. He was surprised by Qin Mu’s calm and quick handling of Yang Qin’s situation.

As a child, she had once seen a classmate die in the classroom due to improper treatment, and throughout subsequent years, she remembered never to move an unconscious person lightly to avoid delaying medical care.

Qin Mu thought for a moment after getting into the car, then called Mu Yichen. It took a while for Mu Yichen to answer: ”Hello?”

Hearing that steady voice, Qin Mu suddenly felt less oppressed: ”I ran into Yang Qin. She fainted at the community entrance and was just taken to the hospital by ambulance.”

”Fainted?”

Mu Yichen frowned, unable to rejoice that Qin Mu had willingly called him.

”Yes! The ambulance has already left. Should I go to the hospital, or do you want someone from your company to check on it?”

Qin Mu responded and then asked him again.

She could help, but she didn’t really want to get too close to Yang Qin.

”You don’t need to go. I’ll have Qiao Yi and Zhao Huai go check it out.”

Mu Yichen knew Qin Mu didn’t want to get close to Yang Qin, and it wasn’t necessary for Qin Mu to run about for his subordinate in the hospital.

”Alright! Then I’ll go home!”

”Hmm! Why go that way to get home?”

”I initially planned to rest at the apartment and return with you after work, but now I suddenly don’t feel like it.”

Qin Mu was somewhat dejected.

Mu Yichen chuckled softly after hearing this: ”Why not call if you want to see me? Even if you just come to inspect, don’t you know many people are hoping for your visit?”

”Inspect what? My own man, still not at ease? I’m hanging up now, we’ll talk tonight.”

Qin Mu chuckled, said goodbye, and ended the conversation.

After Mu Yichen put down the phone, he looked at the two men behind him: ”You two head to the hospital. Yang Qin fainted and was taken there by ambulance.”

Zhao Huai and Qiao Yi...

This afternoon, the two of them had bet Mu Yichen, not allowing him to call Qin Mu, betting whether she would call him instead. Both thought she wouldn’t, and even Mu Yichen didn’t believe it, but now... he won.

”This bet doesn’t count. What’s up with Yang Qin?”

Zhao Huai dismissed the bet and asked again.

”Let’s go and see for ourselves!”

Qiao Yi was a bit worried.

Zhao Huai nodded: ”Alright, we’ll head over then.”

Mu Yichen stood by the glass window, watching as Qiao Yi and Zhao Huai left his office, then turned unhappily to look outside. The clouds were gathering, was it going to rain again?

Mrs. Mu didn’t have plans to go out today, but for some reason she did. Mu Yichen thought about calling Qin Mu, but thinking she was still on the road, he suppressed the urge, and returned to his desk to work.

For them as a couple, there was no rush to discuss many things; they could wait until they were home.

After Zhao Huai and Qiao Yi arrived at the hospital, they inquired at the front desk and then went upstairs.
