His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2123: Chapter 609: Clearing Up the Misunderstanding (Part 1)

”Drank too much, have a headache, come to the hotel’s top floor and keep me company!”

Mu Yichen lay on the suite’s bed, massaging his temples after sending a WeChat message.

Qiao Yi and Qin Mu both believed that Gongzhi Ping’an just happened to pass by for lunch, but Mu Yichen didn’t buy it.

Gongzhi Ping’an clearly knew how much he cared about Qin Mu’s affairs, yet he still wanted to be close to his wife. Could he not be a lover but a confidant?

Qin Mu called him: ”Did you drink too much?”

”Yeah! Come over!”

Mu Yichen knew she would call, so he adjusted his voice slightly before speaking, it already sounded a bit husky.

”Alright, but I didn’t bring the room card, don’t fall asleep on me.”

”I’ll leave the door open for you!”

Mu Yichen chuckled slightly, reminding her.

Qin Mu couldn’t help but smile when she heard that, was there an undertone of intimacy?

But she quickly packed up her things in the store, grabbed her backpack, and headed out.

——

Yang Qin hurried to the hotel carrying a file. Upon hearing from Qiao Yi, she knew he was upstairs, so she headed directly to the top floor.

Just as she reached his office door, Yang Qin received a reminder call from a colleague, slightly annoyed, she answered.

”Hurry up, I need to submit the order in an hour,” her colleague reminded her on the phone.

”Got it! I’m at the boss’s office door, talk to you later!”

Yang Qin glanced up at his office sign with one eye while holding the file with one hand and knocked on the door with the other.

No response, was he resting?

Yang Qin pondered, but it would take her half an hour to rush back. She had to quickly find Mu Yichen for a signature, so she knocked harder, but still no response.

Feeling annoyed, her eyes landed on the doorknob. Her knocking hand grasped the handle and opened the door.

It was open, was he inside?

Yang Qin sighed in relief, she just needed him to sign the document. She pushed the door open, but found the chair behind the desk empty. Her heart sank, she looked around for him but still couldn’t find him.

But there was another door inside, it seemed like it was his rest area. Yang Qin thought he should be waking up around this time, so she walked over.

Yet, for some reason, standing at the rest room’s door, she started feeling inexplicably nervous.

”Boss, there’s a document that needs your immediate signature.”

She softly reminded from outside.

The room was silent. Yang Qin thought, was he still asleep?

Her heart pounded harder and faster. For some unknown reason, she found herself gently pushing the door open, much like she did with the first door.

Inside, on the large bed, he was just in his shirt, lying on his side, sleeping.

At that moment, Yang Qin almost couldn’t breathe.

The way he looked when he slept was so...

Her heart was beating so hard, she finally snapped back to reality.

”Come here!”

He calmly called out, his hand extending to the edge of the bed.

Yang Qin looked at his hand, then his face, he hadn’t opened his eyes but he called her over?

Or was she hallucinating?

His contours were etched perfectly in her eyes, his perfection making her swoon.

”Hurry up!”

He urged again, vaguely, yet it compelled her to move her feet unconsciously.

Yang Qin slowly walked to the bedside, then sat on the edge of the bed, her heart nearly leaping out, she tried to remind him she was here for a signature, but she couldn’t utter a single word, her throat seemed blocked by something.

”Mr. Mu...”

”Why’d you suddenly drink so much?”

As Yang Qin was about to remind him softly, Mu Yichen felt something unpleasant and opened his eyes just as Qin Mu pushed another door open. Her voice of disdain was still lingering when she saw a woman sitting on the bed with her husband.

Oh! What’s going on?

”Yang Qin? What are you doing?”

Qin Mu instinctively furrowed her brows, coldly questioning.

Yang Qin snapped back to reality, bouncing up from the bed: ”Ma’am!”

Qin Mu said nothing, just looked at Yang Qin with shock and looked at her dear husband.

Didn’t he say he had a headache and wanted her to come take care of him?

Why was there another woman here? And it was the one she hated most.

Qin Mu glared at Mu Yichen, angrily biting her lip, wishing she could knock herself out with a stick. He just sat up, pinched his brow, and indifferently instructed Yang Qin: ”You can leave first!”

”Yes!”

Yang Qin looked down at the file in her hands, realizing it was not the time, and obediently retreated.
