His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2131: Chapter 614: I Like It Because You Bought It

Before Gongzhi and his son left, Gongzhi Ping’an glanced at the flowers by the window and asked Qin Mu with a smile, ”Do you like those?”

Following his gaze, Qin Mu looked towards the window, ”Yeah!”

”Really? You like them even if someone else bought them?”

Mu Yichen glanced at her from the sofa as a reminder.

Qin Mu...

”Of course, I like them because you bought them.”

Qin Mu quickly changed her words to suit his mood.

”This young couple is flirting all evening, making even someone my age a bit envious.”

Gongzhi Ping’an’s father said with a smile.

”They bicker every day, don’t take it seriously.”

Mu Zihao told him.

”That’s good, when An Zi finds a wife to come home and bickers every day, it’ll make his mother and me happy too.”

Mu Zihao and Mu Yichen went to see them off, and once the car was out of sight, Mu Zihao turned back, ”You were truly excessive tonight!”

Mu Zihao rarely scolds his son, and when he does, it sounds rather gentle.

”Excessive? Their coming to deliver the jade pendant isn’t excessive?”

Mu Yichen asked nonchalantly and turned away.

”Though delivering the jade pendant was inappropriate, Qin Mu didn’t accept it, did she? Your attitude might make your uncle and An Zi misunderstand you.”

Mu Zihao quickly turned around and caught up to him, speaking because he noticed his son’s temper truly needs to be restrained.

”Why should I care what they think of me? Gongzhi Ping’an needs a wife, why come to ask my grandfather?”

Mu Yichen was displeased and said no more, recalling how he had once suggested to his grandfather to propose to the Qin Family, only for his grandfather to brush it aside with a call, telling him to find his own way!

Yet now his grandfather is match-making for someone else, humph!

After Mu Yichen returned, Feng Fanghua and Qin Mu stopped chatting on the sofa. Feng Fanghua gave Qin Mu a look, then glanced behind her at the unhappy person.

”What is it? You were just fine, and now you’re upset?”

Feng Fanghua held her teacup, sipping slightly as she asked her dear son in a leisurely manner.

”You should ask your husband!”

Mu Yichen didn’t sit, but walked over to Qin Mu and pulled her by the arm, ”Let’s go! Time to rest!”

Qin Mu was still holding a teacup, with tea she hadn’t sipped, but upon seeing his expression, she promptly looked at Feng Fanghua for permission, ”Mom!”

”Go ahead!”

Feng Fanghua thought to herself that perhaps her husband indeed knew something. Not willing to see her son’s expression, she let Qin Mu go with him.

Mu Yichen held Qin Mu’s wrist tightly as they went upstairs, leaving Qin Mu confused, his fiery temperament seeming like something major was coming.

Mu Zihao sat back down, sighing helplessly, ”Your dear son, really, sigh!”

”Are you about to say it’s all because I spoiled him?”

Feng Fanghua looked at him with an expression that said she knew what he wanted to say next.

Mu Zihao chuckled, ”I really wasn’t going to say that.”

”But why is he so temperamental? Introducing a wife to Little An Zi, what’s he upset about?”

”He’s not upset because Dad is introducing a match to Little An Zi, it’s because of the jade his father took out.”

Mu Zihao explained to her.

”It’s strange, that jade is their love token. Normally, you’d either keep it or pass it to your son and daughter-in-law. Why think of giving it to Qin Mu.”

”I wonder about this too, but seeing how your son is, you should have an idea, right?”

Mu Zihao said, then bowed his head slightly, feeling a bit down.

”It must be Little An Zi’s idea, but this kid liking someone like Qin Mu, I just can’t understand it.”

Feng Fanghua put down her teacup, clasping her hands together, a bit troubled.

Mu Zihao looked at her with a smile, thinking how she never praises her daughter-in-law openly, yet privately won’t let others speak a word against her.

——

After Qin Mu finished her shower and came out of the bathroom, she looked at her husband lying by the bed, fiddling with his phone, and sighed helplessly.

The black trousers made his long legs appear even more slender; his figure was like a model’s, remarkably handsome, and glancing at his relaxed features, carved as if by knife, with defined contours, made someone unable to resist touching him, except...

”Why are you standing there? Come over quickly!”

Except it’s best not to speak; once he opens his mouth, the whole good image is ruined.
