Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 450: Chapter 389: Anti-Ancestor Weapon_2

Last time, everyone witnessed the Ancestor People’s ”No Beef No. 1” mecha, which was clearly much smaller than the current mecha, yet it could unleash devastating power akin to a ”Little Boy” bomb.

Now, this mech is more than ten times larger than the ”No Beef No. 1.”

Anyone can see that this mecha is likely capable of easily destroying a city, or even a state (province), with its incredibly destructive power.

To be honest, after some mental extrapolation, everyone was half scared to death by the ”Savior” mecha.

Hmm, in reality, the ”Savior” mecha is not equipped with any powerful weapons, only cannons capable of releasing photon energy, which generally wouldn’t cause direct damage to humans or buildings but might affect electronic devices.

Unfortunately, they didn’t know that. They thought this was an upgraded version of ”No Beef No. 1,” so they were terrified.

The Great Emperor tried to remain calm and shared his thoughts, ”A single mecha doesn’t mean much, maybe the Ancestor People are just testing a new mecha, like last time when he developed forty or fifty relatively smaller mechas, which clearly had terrifying global combat power, yet never engaged in any...”

Before he could finish his sentence,

George bluntly interrupted, ”A single mecha of this size might not mean much, but what about hundreds of them?”

Hmm?

Hundreds?

Everyone was taken aback, as they didn’t see hundreds of large mechas in the footage they had just watched.

But they knew a world-class figure like George wouldn’t make baseless claims, so they waited quietly for him to provide evidence.

George didn’t disappoint them.

He snapped his fingers at a middle-aged woman.

The middle-aged woman quickly switched to another USB drive and continued playing the video.

Moments later, the video displayed a particularly shocking scene.

In the blue sky, under white clouds, countless ”Devastators” were racing in a particular direction at incredible speed.

They were all the kind of large mecha they had just seen under the night sky!

At least several hundred at a glance!

The Great Emperor and everyone else’s pupils dilated, truly unable to believe there were so many large mechas on screen.

George took a deep breath and said, ”According to statistics, there are a total of five hundred mechas in the footage, including the one in the previous video, making a total of five hundred and one...”

At this point, his tone became incredibly grave, ”Imagine, if the Ancestor People do not intend to dominate the world, why would they develop such large mechas? Even if, as the Great Emperor just said, the Ancestor People simply wanted to upgrade their mechas, why would they produce five hundred and one of these large mechas? Remember, last time he only manufactured forty or fifty small-scale mechas, but this time, with the more resource-intensive and presumably more challenging large mechas, he produced a whopping five hundred and one! Why?”

He asked several consecutive ”whys” and ”wherefores.”

With each ”why” or ”wherefore,” the hearts of the Great Emperor and the other 190 powerful figures trembled a little more.

They weren’t fools; of course, they could deduce the purpose of the Ancestor People from George’s words and the presence of the 501 large mechas, as well as recent events.

It seems the Ancestor People, as George suspected, truly intend to dominate the globe!

If not, why produce so many large mechas?

Is it to counter a gamma-ray burst?

No one believes a gamma-ray burst will actually hit the solar system.

They each consulted their nation’s top astrophysicists and observatory staff.

They learned that the probability of Earth being hit by a gamma-ray burst is even lower than winning the Huaxia lottery.

Since it isn’t to counter a gamma-ray burst, there’s essentially only one possibility left.

Indeed, the Ancestor People’s current actions are about advancing by retreating and seeing if they can easily dominate Earth without much effort.

If it doesn’t work, these extremely powerful large mechas will likely come out to display their might!

For a moment, everyone, including George and the Great Emperor, had very unsightly expressions.

Because they all understood, even if they united, they couldn’t match the Ancestor People, who are comparable to gods!

In the crowd, a black leader, after a long silence, said helplessly, ”Even if we guess the Ancestor People want to dominate Earth, what can we do about it?”

Indeed!

It seems there’s nothing they can do.

Resist?

As the saying goes, the gun hits the bird in the lead.

Whoever resists first will likely be made an example by the Ancestor People!

The only option now seems to be sitting and waiting for the Ancestor People to declare their ambition, then meekly surrender.

The atmosphere of the video conference turned extremely depressing.

Everyone felt as if the Ancestor People were like an enormous mountain weighing on their hearts, suffocating them.

Hmm, they didn’t realize they were scaring themselves.

Lu Li really had no intention of dominating Earth.

These so-called ”evidence” and what the Ancestor People intended to do were entirely fabricated by George, the Great Emperor, and the remaining 190 leaders.

Although they were indeed overthinking, it indirectly reflected what kind of deterrent power Lu Li had given the world.

As everyone’s silence reached its peak, George suddenly tapped his desk, producing a ”thud-thud” sound to capture everyone’s attention, ”Although the Ancestor People are powerful, we can’t sit idle and wait for death, can’t let them dominate Earth, or else our generation becoming slaves is a small matter, but endless generations in the future living under the endless enslavement of the Ancestor People’s ’noble family’ is a bigger concern. Even if not for ourselves, we should fight for the next generations!”

The Great Emperor sighed, ”Even if we want to fight, we cannot match the Ancestor People, just like last time, when Old Ugly lost nearly a thousand US Dollars in various consortiums, and even used nuclear weapons totaling several million tons, were they harmed at all?”

At the mention of this dark history, George’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch slightly.

He pretended not to hear those words and continued, ”From a physical standpoint, the power the Ancestor People have displayed is indeed flawless, but for the sake of the planet’s eight billion people and future generations, I think it’s necessary for our 192 factions to unite and develop ’Anti-Ancestor People’ weapons. If he doesn’t truly attempt to dominate Earth, we won’t do anything, but if he dares, then we are not helpless. I believe that as long as our 192 factions unite, we can definitely develop ’Anti-Ancestor People’ weapons to dispel the shadow he’s cast over us. Whether you join or not, I’ve already started executing this plan. Now, express your views, join or sit and wait for death?”

No one immediately spoke, as if considering the pros and cons.

Suddenly, the Great Emperor raised his head and resolutely declared, ”I will join the project to develop ’Anti-Ancestor People’ weapons!”

After the Great Emperor said this, it was as if a strong stimulant was given to the other 190 leaders.

Voices pledging participation followed one after another.

”I’ll join too!”

”I will also join the project to develop ’Anti-Ancestor People’ weapons!”

”Just like Mr. George said, even if not for ourselves, we must consider future generations. We can’t let the Ancestor People dominate the world. We must unite and resist, dispel this shadow!”

”I’m joining...”

”I’m joining...”

Three!

Twenty!

In just a short moment, all 190 leaders reached a consensus, ready to pool their technological resources to develop ”Anti-Ancestor People” weapons to curb their global domination!
