Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 414: Chapter 359: Global Emergency Alert

Aaron, who discovered the terrifying flight speed of this unidentified flying object, was dumbfounded.

Even though he didn’t know the exact mass of the object at that moment, he could still imagine that as long as the mass reached a certain weight, the explosive power generated by crashing into Earth might not instantly destroy all life forms on the surface, nor obliterate an entire continent. At the very least, it would unleash power equivalent to a high-yield nuclear explosion, and that was almost indisputable.

As the saying goes, ”Better them than me.”

If this unidentified flying object were to crash into another continent, that would be preferable.

But if it were to hit the North American Continent, wouldn’t it cause immense destruction?

This is still assuming the object’s mass isn’t too large.

If the unidentified flying object has a considerable mass, with such a swift flying speed, it could easily destroy an entire continent, even causing extinction of surface life.

Crucially, this unidentified flying object’s speed is simply too fast, at 0.06 times the speed of light.

The monitoring equipment in the Cosmic Space is approximately positioned on Venus.

From such a vast distance, transmitting data back to Earth involves a delay of roughly a dozen minutes.

In simple terms, the information Aaron detected was actually from a dozen minutes ago.

Based on Venus being 41.5 million kilometers away from Earth and the unidentified flying object’s speed being nearly 0.06 times the speed of light,

it might only take about thirty minutes for this object to reach Earth.

Hasn’t it already been over ten minutes?

This means the time left for Earth to react could be no more than twenty minutes or so?

Thinking of this, Aaron’s forehead instantly broke into a cold sweat.

The young female colleague next to him, Olivia, a Caucasian woman,

noticed Aaron’s forehead covered in sweat and asked with concern, ”Aaron, are you feeling unwell? Maybe you should take the day off and rest.”

The other dozen or so busy colleagues, hearing the conversation, involuntarily looked over.

Aaron stared at the screen in terror and, stammering, said, ”I... I detected a horrifying phenomenon, if not handled properly, it could potentially threaten the entire Earth’s safety. You all should come and take a look!”

What?

If not handled properly, it could potentially threaten Earth’s safety?

A dozen or so people present were startled and quickly gathered around Aaron to see.

Once they saw, everyone was terrified out of their wits!

”Quick! Notify the higher-ups!”

”It’s too late to inform now; the flight speed of this unidentified flying object is too fast!”

”Even if it’s too late, we must notify!”

”It’s over! It’s over! Earth won’t be destroyed, will it?”

All these staff members, like Aaron, were scared out of their wits, each rushing to make calls to report the information.

The information was urgently reported up every level!

The higher-ups, upon receiving this information, were all shocked and deeply terrified of any unknown danger, hurriedly issuing one order after another!

Level One Alert!

Notify the higher-ups of other countries!

This dreadful situation has already surpassed their control range, and they had no choice but to inform other countries to collaborate, as this could potentially be humanity’s most terrifying catastrophe!

No one knows the true mass of this ultra-high-speed flying unidentified object and how much destruction it may cause to Earth upon impact, or if it would lead to a doomsday scenario like those depicted in sci-fi movies!

Lu Li never really expected that his wish to just go home would actually alarm countless countries...

...

One to twenty minutes later, Lu Li approached near Earth.

Being in a state between light and matter, even crashing on the ground wouldn’t cause an explosion.

So he didn’t slow down, still maintaining a speed of 0.059 times the speed of light heading toward the atmosphere.

As Lu Li flew, he couldn’t help silently marveling, ”This flight speed is amazingly fast. When I left Earth before, despite evolving constantly midway, it still took about ten days to reach the Sun. Now, flying back from Mercury took just over an hour; it’s truly extreme speed!”

In that fleeting moment,

he had already breached the atmosphere.

Reaching an altitude about one thousand meters above ground level.

Suddenly, Lu Li stopped abruptly, not continuing his journey.

Because there was something more important he had to do now.

Or rather, he rushed back from Mercury just to complete this task.

Indeed, to predict what would happen to Earth in thirty-four days.

This was a major concern for the safety of all life on Earth, and it allowed no margin for neglect on his part.

Lu Li released the energy within him, instantly enveloping the entire Earth.

Immediately, he used the energy to touch all the free particles on Earth.

Predicting the movement trajectories of the particles, and then began the simulation deductions.

In the blink of an eye, he simulated what would happen to Earth after one day.

For instance, an active volcano on some Island Country will erupt around noon tomorrow, with not a very strong explosive force, affecting only the surrounding areas.

He also knew about earthquakes, rains, snows, and other situations that would occur almost thoroughly.

Though there were many natural disasters, there was not much impact on Huaxia, so Lu Li simply ignored it.

Furthermore, he had no time to deal with Earth’s natural disasters now.

Though these natural disasters were terrifying for ordinary people, at least they wouldn’t cause extinction.

Lu Li’s focus now was on what would happen thirty-four days later, which would concern the fate of all humanity.

The simulation continued.

Second day...

Eighth day...

Seventeenth day...

Gradually, based on particle movement trajectories, Lu Li simulated until the thirty-second day.

Until now, except for some natural disasters, nothing too terrifying had occurred on Earth.

Only Lu Li’s face had already turned grave.

Because he knew that to find out if there would be any trouble where Earth lay thirty-four days later, simulating to the thirty-third day would already provide part of the answer.

Hence, he began simulating the Earth’s situation on the thirty-third day.

A horrifying scene arose vividly.

Almost identical to foreseeing the future on Mercury.

On this day, those free particles on Earth all started to vibrate strangely!

”Wha...what?”

Lu Li clenched his fists tightly, ”Could it be that an incredibly terrifying light will appear on Earth too?”

He already knew it was indeed true, but still found it hard to believe, as he continued the simulation to the thirty-fourth day.

Sure enough, when the simulation reached this day, Earth, like Mercury, suddenly became a land of light.

On this day, Earth experienced no distinction between night and day; the entire planet lit up.

Almost like before, the nearby Star Realm was also illuminated.

That light was indescribably terrifying, truly lighting up the entire solar system?

Lu Li’s pupils continuously dilated as he attempted to discern what this light really was.

Unfortunately, the light lasted only for eight seconds before completely disappearing.

Two seconds less than on Mercury.

When the light disappeared, the entire Earth’s atmosphere was destroyed, and countless living beings perished in an instant.

Even if some creatures did not die immediately, they succumbed in excruciating agony in a very short time.

It was as if the structure of their bodies had been severely damaged, causing those who were lucky enough not to die immediately under the light to endure endless suffering.

Most crucially, up to now, Lu Li truly couldn’t discern what the light really was.

”No, there’s definitely something I’ve overlooked, otherwise I wouldn’t be unable to see clearly.”

Lu Li repeated the simulation’s iteration for the thirty-fourth day.

Nothing much was discovered on the second run either.

Third time...

Fourth time...

Until the sixth simulation run.

Suddenly, Lu Li noticed a phenomenon.

That was, before this light illuminated the world, a very frightening ray first shot into Earth.

Then a large amount of X-rays, ultraviolet rays, etc., followed quickly.

And finally, the visible light!

In fact, at the moment that frightening ray entered Earth, Earth’s atmosphere was already destroyed, not after the light dissipated.

”I seem to have a vague idea of what it is...”

Lu Li’s face turned extremely serious, ”But I can’t be sure yet, I need to gather some information.”

Thinking this, he retracted most of his energy into himself, leaving only a small trace hovering in the air.

Lu Li glanced around and found a computer room below.

He controlled this energy and dove into the computer in the room.

Along the fiber optic cables, he entered the virtual database on the network and began continuously gathering information.

Upon completing the fifth deep evolution, his energy could invade any computer in the world without being detected.

This state was like Marvel’s Ultron, able to link all networks on Earth.

That is to say, if Lu Li wished, he could immediately paralyze the global network.

Moreover, he could use energy to control various countries’ nuclear missile launchers.

Of course, Lu Li didn’t have the mentality to destroy the world, so naturally, he wouldn’t do such malicious things.

At this moment, he was diligently collecting information from the global network.

...

Lu Li was indeed focused on researching information.

However, his unceremonious entry into the atmosphere, and suspension at over a thousand meters above the ground, still caused a huge disturbance worldwide.

Just twenty minutes or so earlier, the top levels of various countries had already received information, waiting for the ”unidentified flying object” to land on Earth.

Some countries even had their air defense systems deployed to the extreme.

Ready to shoot this ”unidentified flying object” down the moment it appeared...

Well, they prepared to shoot, but whether they could actually shoot it down was uncertain.

Therefore, at this moment, the top levels of various countries were almost all in front of monitors watching the situation unfold.

After all, they believed this matter could relate to the fate of all humanity; how could they not take it seriously?

Then...

Hmm, that ”unidentified flying object” entered Earth, and they had no time to react.

Initially seeing this, the top levels of various countries were already in despair.

Thinking this ”unidentified flying object” would surely crash into the ground, causing a massive explosion.

What happened next was unexpected for everyone—the ”unidentified flying object,” after entering the atmosphere and descending to a thousand meters above the ground, suddenly stopped and hovered.

At that moment, everyone was stunned, not understanding what had happened.

Not until a few seconds later, when a satellite transmitted captured images back, did the top echelons of various countries see clearly what this ”unidentified flying object” really was.

Not a thing...

Well, that sounds a bit harsh.

To be precise, this ”unidentified flying object” was a person, someone they were quite familiar with.

Yes, it was Lu Li, who had declared himself the ancestor of humans before the global media more than ten days ago!

What?

This unidentified flying object is the ancestor of humankind?

The top levels of various countries were all utterly stunned, really unable to believe that Lu Li was strong enough to fly at a terrifying speed of nearly 0.06 times the speed of light!

What does ”nearly 0.06 times the speed of light” mean?

That’s the ability to fly eighteen thousand kilometers every second!

At such a fast speed, anyone could imagine how much immense energy must be consumed every second.

Does flying alone consume such enormous energy?

Then, within his body, what vast and terrifying energy is hidden?

The top levels of various countries almost simultaneously conceived a single incredible speculative thought.

Could it be that the ancestor of humans actually possesses... the ability to destroy planets?
