Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 447: Chapter 388: Advancing by Retreating

Just as Lu Li led Liu Kexin, Gu Wei, Fu Qin, Zhu Sen, and others around the super base.

In a state of global panic, people from all over the world, after thinking of ways to ”get close” to Mr. Ancestor, immediately launched a petition, hoping Mr. Ancestor would rule the world.

To everyone, it seemed that by becoming your ”subjects,” when the end of the world comes, you, as the ”emperor,” can’t just stand by and do nothing, right?

Therefore, to save their lives, many people have become extremely hysterical, preferring to petition Mr. Ancestor to rule Earth as the sole Saint Monarch, just to live a life of mere survival.

The first place to witness the petitions naturally was the comment section of the major social media platforms where Mr. Ancestor had recently registered an account to release announcements.

Originally, the comment section was filled with praises for Mr. Ancestor not wanting to rule the world, and many even admired him.

But now, the tone of the comment section has shifted, replaced by comments asking Mr. Ancestor to rule the world.

”Great Mr. Ancestor, actually, there’s nothing inappropriate about you ruling the world.”

”Right, you are the only living god in this world and have far more wisdom than we ordinary humans. I believe that if under your rule, human civilization will surely move towards greater brightness and prosperity.”

”Honored, great Mr. Ancestor, please come out and rule the entire Earth.”

”Mr. Ancestor, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have thought you not wanting to rule the world was a good thing. After deep reflection, I think that you, a true deity, ruling the world is actually the best thing. Firstly, you have an unparalleled force, no matter the catastrophe Earth faces, you can protect the safety of us humble subjects’ lives, and secondly, as a deity, although we don’t know the extent of your vast wisdom, I believe it must be extraordinarily astounding. You can lead us to glory, so I ask you to rule the world.”

”Praise great Mr. Ancestor, I am willing to be your eternal servant.”

These are flattering remarks.

Some people are more straightforward.

”Boo hoo, Mr. Ancestor, I don’t want to die.”

”As long as you are willing to deal with the gamma-ray burst and save Earth, I am willing to give everything.”

”Even if I truly become your slave, as long as I can survive, I have no hesitation.”

”Mr. Ancestor, I beg you, save us, the eighty billion humans on Earth, I am willing to worship you as Divine Emperor.”

”Ahhhhh, I don’t want to die, Mr. Ancestor, please be kind, save me!”

One comment after another quickly appeared in the comment section.

If someone were to keep refreshing the webpage at this moment, they would definitely notice the statistics in the top right corner of the comment section rolling over with an incredible explosive growth speed.

In the blink of an eye, four or five thousand petitions.

A refresh, and four or five thousand more comments.

In just less than half an hour, petitions had surpassed one million.

This was just the count of one social media’s comment section.

In fact, globally, it would be even more if all social media statistics were counted.

From this, it’s clear how enormous the fear among the global populations is regarding the ”gamma-ray burst visiting the solar system.”

The fear is so intense that some people are willing to become Mr. Ancestor’s ”slaves” just to save their lives.

Of course, not everyone has gone ”insane” like this.

Some still pride themselves as bystanders, believing it’s just a self-directed play by Mr. Ancestor.

Though these people feel they’ve ”seen through” Mr. Ancestor’s plan, knowing he possesses terrifying power, they don’t dare to speak too aggressively and are only over there advising others not to panic too much.

”Hey, what are you afraid of?”

”Didn’t Professor George Smute say that no gamma-ray bursts have been detected recently?”

”Exactly, none of the many instruments monitoring the cosmos globally have detected a gamma-ray burst, what on earth are you worrying about?”

”It’s all scattered, Mr. Ancestor has no intention to rule the world, the gamma-ray bursts are just your unfounded wild guesses, don’t scare yourselves, disperse.”

Though these people are the majority, they are not as frantic as those ”afraid of death,” so naturally, when their comments just appeared, they were drowned out by petitioning comments, resulting in very few people seeing them.

Precisely because the whole internet is petitioning Mr. Ancestor to rule the world.

As a result, some people on Earth who had just woken up from sleep in the middle of the night saw this series of information, and each became very puzzled, not understanding what was happening, inquiring repeatedly.

”Hey, bro, what’s going on?”

”Why are you inexplicably praying for Mr. Ancestor to rule the world?”

”Exactly, why are you giving up your fine freedom, insisting on debasing yourself to become someone’s slave?”

These netizens were extremely puzzled.

The next moment, some extremely panicked netizens quickly answered the questions.

”Oh, you’re still unaware?”

”The end of the world is about to arrive!”

”Gamma-ray bursts are about to hit Earth, all surface creatures will go extinct!”

”Currently, only Mr. Ancestor on Earth has the ability to solve the gamma-ray burst, so we’re asking him to rule the world and become the savior!”

Those netizens who had just woken up and didn’t know the situation were dumbfounded upon hearing that gamma-ray bursts were about to arrive, scared to the point where they were trembling all over.

Then...

Well, this group of people joined the petition too.

”Begging Mr. Ancestor to rule the world!”

”Begging Mr. Ancestor to rule the world!”
