Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 410: Chapter 356: Interstellar Video Call (Part 3)

Lu Li suddenly thought of something, ”My energy took over three hundred seconds to reach Earth, so transmitting thoughts should take the same time. This energy line is like a telephone line; over short distances, it can arrive instantly, but over long distances, it certainly can’t be transmitted immediately.”

He speculated that he needed to wait five minutes before he could transmit the information to Liu Kexin over there.

Lu Li prepared to wait five minutes.

During this time, a question arose in his mind.

Whether it was transmitting information or the energy spreading to Earth, all of it took five minutes.

Why, then, when the energy line spread to Earth, did he observe the image of Liu Kexin as if there was no delay?

Or perhaps, the image he was seeing was actually from five minutes ago?

If that’s really the case, then even if he could indeed transmit thoughts across the starry sky and receive feedback from Liu Kexin, it should be ten minutes later, not five minutes.

Lu Li was unsure of the exact situation, so he could only wait quietly.

Five minutes passed quickly.

At first, he thought he wouldn’t receive any feedback.

To his astonishment, he saw in the image that Liu Kexin suddenly looked up, looking around with surprise and whispering, ”Lu Li, are you on Mercury now?”

Huh?

Not ten minutes later?

Lu Li felt he had vaguely overlooked something.

He thought for a moment and tried to let the energy line touch Liu Kexin’s head.

Lu Li transmitted his thoughts again, saying, ”Hmm, this time I left in a bit of a hurry because of some physical issues. I’ll make it up to you when I get back.”

Something surprising happened.

The thought that would have taken five minutes to transmit was received by Liu Kexin all at once!

She nodded vigorously, ”Hmm, I understand. You don’t have to worry about me not getting it. As long as you’re okay, I can be at ease.”

Oh!

I know why!

This energy line of mine can actually ignore distances and act as a remote ’phone call’ with someone.

The premise is that the energy line must touch the person you need to communicate with; otherwise, transmitting thoughts will take some time.

This gave Lu Li a bold idea.

If he could make an ’interstellar phone call’ with Liu Kexin across 92 million kilometers, would it also be possible to make an ’interstellar video call’?

If that’s possible, even if he roams the cosmos in the future, he could leave an energy line on Earth and not worry about any accidents with his parents, Liu Kexin, or other family and friends. Plus, he could report where he is at any time.

Eager to know whether ’interstellar video calling’ was possible,

Lu Li didn’t care about other significant gains.

He continued testing.

After all, those huge gains could still be tested after attempting the ’interstellar video call’, no rush for now.

With that in mind, Lu Li enveloped the surroundings with energy.

Then he transmitted the image along the energy line towards Earth.

”I hope it can be transmitted.”

Lu Li inwardly hoped, while also sending out a thought, ”Kexin, can you see me now?”

On the ’video’ side, Liu Kexin suddenly showed a look of surprise.

She was slightly at a loss and said, ”Lu Li, you really are on Mercury? How can you transmit the image so that I can see it?”

Huh!

It really works!

Lu Li instantly became joyful.

Having tested the ’interstellar video call’, he could then confidently and boldly explore other areas of growth!

This time Lu Li had a massive improvement, and he was really curious to find out just how formidable his current strength had become.
