Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 428: Chapter 371: What I Miss

Splash.

The sound of Liu Kexin showering came from the bathroom.

The patter of water drops seemed to portend future scenes.

Lu Li leaned against the bedhead, pondering how to extend the lifespan of Liu Kexin, his family, or others he cared about.

Currently, he had thought of two methods.

First, Lu Li was quite sure that he could make Liu Kexin, like Julia Giannini, consume certain substances produced by his body to extend her life.

This method was relatively simple, just treating himself as Tang Monk.

As for the second method, it involved using energy to make slight improvements to Liu Kexin’s genes and to condition her body.

Hmm, it was just an improvement, not really unlocking the genetic lock.

During his fourth deep evolution, Lu Li had used energy to explore John Chris Morgan’s body.

He discovered that he could use energy to cure the opponent’s congenital heart disease.

Moreover, if he was willing, extending the opponent’s life to a certain extent was quite easy.

Of course, it was just extending life, not truly achieving immortality.

”At the time, I estimated that I could extend John Chris Morgan’s frail body for a hundred years.”

Lu Li continued to analyze, ”Now that I have undergone another deep evolution, and the extent of this enhancement is even greater than the previous four combined, I can surely extend others’ lifespans even more, although I wonder if it will be enough to make Liu Kexin live forever.”

Extended life doesn’t mean eternal life, just a longer one.

After thinking for a while, the sound of the bathroom door opening was heard.

Soon after, Liu Kexin blushingly walked out wrapping herself in a white bath towel.

She seemed still very nervous, her voice trembled a bit as she spoke, ”You can go take a bath now.”

Lu Li’s body had the ability to self-cleanse, staying spotless without bathing. However, since everyone believed bathing felt cleaner, and he respected Liu Kexin, wanting to give her a perfect experience, he naturally wouldn’t sweat the small stuff.

”Alright.” He got up and walked towards the bathroom, ”You get into bed and wait for me.”

Liu Kexin’s face grew even redder.

She responded in a barely audible voice: ”Okay.”

Lu Li stepped into the bathroom.

Turned on the tap.

Splash.

The warm water washed over his body in waves.

Lu Li casually applied some shower gel and then rinsed it off.

...

Returning to the bedroom.

As Lu Li entered, he saw Liu Kexin hiding under the blanket, not even her head was peeking out.

He quietly approached the bedside, then lifted the corner of the covers and slipped in.

At this moment, Liu Kexin’s body was tense.

Lu Li lay on his side, looking at her, softly calling, ”Kexin.”

Liu Kexin remained under the blanket, somewhat flustered as she said, ”How about we chat a little more?”

Lu Li was amused by her, ”What’s there to talk about now?”

Liu Kexin still tried to delay, ”Shall we play some TikTok?”

Having come to this point, how could Lu Li allow any further delays?

He lay down, embracing her from behind, ”Turn around and look at me.”

”Alright.”

Liu Kexin slowly turned to face him, not daring to meet Lu Li’s eyes.

Lu Li brushed aside her short hair with his hand, then drew her chin up to face him, ”Kexin, you’re really beautiful.”

Liu Kexin’s face flushed down to her neck, ”You... you’re also very handsome.”

Lu Li leaned in and gently kissed her lips, ”Feeling a bit nervous?”

”Yes!” Liu Kexin whispered, ”I heard people say the first time is very painful, is it true?”

Lu Li calmed her, ”Don’t listen to others’ nonsense.”

He was actually fibbing, but if he didn’t comfort her now, Liu Kexin would definitely get even more nervous.

”That’s good then.” Liu Kexin continued to delay, ”Shall we play a song?”

Lu Li didn’t rush things, but instead used his energy to turn on the music equipment from a distance, ”What song would you like to hear?”

Liu Kexin said, ”Anything is fine.”

Lu Li casually picked up a Sun Yanzi CD with his energy and put it in the machine, pressing play.

Moments later, the song ”Against the Light” started to drift through the air from the CD player.

”Maybe I was always afraid of the answer.”

”Maybe love quietly swirls in the wind.”

”Leaving, letting go, it’s brief yet comes again...”

The melodious music filled the room.

Lu Li gently caressed Liu Kexin, ”Still nervous?”

Liu Kexin nestled in his arms, ”I feel a bit better.”

Lu Li leaned in again, lightly kissing her cheek.

Liu Kexin trembled slightly, her hands holding onto Lu Li’s body trembled a bit as well.

As Lu Li kissed her, he guided her like a mentor, ”Relax, respond to me.”

”Okay.”

Liu Kexin replied, closing her eyes, gently kissing Lu Li’s face in turn.

Gradually, Lu Li felt her breathing grow a bit heavier, and kissed her lips.

Their lips met, close and inseparable.

Initially, Liu Kexin’s actions were a bit stiff.

But as the kissing continued, her body gradually softened and she got into the mood.

Soon, they finished kissing.

Lu Li and Liu Kexin rested their foreheads against each other, he whispered, ”How did it feel?”

Liu Kexin’s face glowed with a blush, her eyes somewhat dreamy, ”Very good, I like you.”

Lu Li blinked, ”Just like?”

”I... I...” Liu Kexin hesitated for a moment, ”I love you.”

Lu Li teased her, ”Your voice is too small, I can’t hear you.”

Liu Kexin had no choice but to raise her voice, ”I love you.”

Lu Li continued to tease her, ”Who do you love?”

Liu Kexin rolled her eyes and said, ”You’re just having fun at my expense.”

”Come on, say it, who do you love?”

”I, Liu Kexin, love you, Lu Li!”

”Hmm, that’s my good girl.”

Upon hearing her say she loved him, Lu Li’s mood instantly brightened.

He flipped over and pressed her beneath him, then kissed her passionately again.

This time, Liu Kexin responded with noticeably more fervor than before.

She wrapped her arms tightly around Lu Li’s neck, appearing particularly eager.

Lu Li continued to raise her mood, gradually moving away from her lips and began kissing her left cheek.

Soon, he was kissing her earlobe.

Liu Kexin’s body clearly tensed up, seemingly a bit unaccustomed to such actions, but she didn’t object.

As time went by, Lu Li started making new moves.

He moved to Liu Kexin’s neck, as smooth as white jade, pecking here and there.

Liu Kexin’s eyes grew more and more dazed, as she murmured almost unconsciously, ”Lu Li, I love you, I really love you.”

Lu Li sincerely said, ”I love you too.”

During this exchange, he quietly unbuttoned the pink nightgown.

So far, everything was going smoothly.

Just as Lu Li was about to complete the crucial action.

Suddenly!

Liu Kexin’s whole body tensed again, and she opened her eyes, speaking with a slightly pleading tone, ”Lu Li, wait, wait a little longer.”

Lu Li looked into her eyes, ”What’s wrong?”

Liu Kexin stammered a bit, ”I... I’m not ready yet.”

Lu Li looked at her speechlessly, ”We’ve come this far, and you’re telling me you’re not ready?”

Liu Kexin pitifully said, ”Can you... can you take it slow? Don’t rush into it, let me... let me soak it in.”

Of course, Lu Li respected her wishes, ”Alright, let’s wait a bit longer.”

So, he repeated the previous process again.

Until he saw Liu Kexin getting into the mood, Lu Li was about to continue.

Unexpectedly, Liu Kexin opened her eyes again at the crucial moment, ”Wait a bit more! Just a little longer!”

Lu Li: ”...”

”How long do you need to wait?”

”Just a bit longer, just a little longer.”

”You’ve already waited quite a while.”

”Maybe... can you flirt with me a bit more?”

Lu Li knew how nervous she was, so she kept ”freezing” at the most crucial moments.

Given the current situation, even if he repeated the previous actions, she might not fully relax.

Thinking of this, he immediately came up with an idea, ”I have a way to make you less nervous, do you want to try it?”

Liu Kexin gently nodded, ”Yes.”

Receiving an affirmative response, Lu Li unhesitatingly released some pheromones.

Up until now, he hadn’t released any of his life pheromones.

The intent was to have Liu Kexin willingly become more intimately connected with him.

This was a way of respecting her.

Now, Liu Kexin was willing.

She was just too nervous to take the next step.

Naturally, Lu Li had no qualms about releasing his life pheromones.

Sure enough, as soon as the pheromones were released, Liu Kexin’s eyes gradually became dazed, yet she didn’t lose her rationality.

She looked at Lu Li with eager eyes and proactively leaned in for a kiss, ”Lu Li, I want you.”

Finally, her mood was settled!

Lu Li felt delighted, pressing himself against her with a rush.

...

Soothing music continuously echoed through the room.

”I asked why, that girl sent me a message.”

”And why you stayed silent, keeping your head down.”

”I should trust that you love me dearly.”

”Without wanting to placate me...”

The song seemed to weave magic, gently narrating a love story.

After a while, the song from Sun Yanzi’s album had transitioned from ”Backlight” to ”What I Miss,” and it gradually reached the chorus.

”What I miss is silent touch.”

”What I miss is absolute heat.”

”What I miss is your excitement.”

”Begging my forgiveness, holding me till it hurts.”

As the singing reached this point.

A sudden scream echoed through the room, ”Ah!”

And an agitated voice said, ”You lied to me before!”

Regrettably, that voice was soon drowned out by the music again.

”I remember you behind me.”

”Also remember me trembling.”

”Remember the surging feelings.”

”The most beautiful fireworks, the longest embrace...”

When the song finished, everything was perfectly harmonious and peaceful.

As if the night had completely merged with the earth.
