Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 421: Chapter 366: Sunday, the Super Artificial Intelligence

Inside the supercollider base.

Lu Li was strolling around with Shen Xia, Qian Jin, and seven or eight top physicists, along with hundreds of staff members.

He pointed to a large tunnel ahead and said, ”This is the secondary core part of the collider, an annular tunnel, different from previous accelerator tunnels, because the super particle collider I designed is a fool-proof... well, modular high-tech, so even if the machine is moved to another place and a new accelerator tunnel is built according to existing specifications, it can still be used.”

Earlier, before entering another side of the collider base, he used the collider there as a model to simulate a super particle collider, which is the collider base in front of them now.

In fact, Lu Li could simulate a more advanced super particle collider, but such a technology level is too high for the current energy methods on Earth to support, so he presented this ”fool-proof mode” super particle collider.

Qian Jin was slightly stunned, ”You separated the accelerator tunnel from the core machines?”

Shen Xia widened her eyes, ”This technology is indeed ahead of current technology by an unknown number of years.”

The remaining physicists and hundreds of staff members nodded in agreement, eyes full of astonishment.

A typical accelerator tunnel is the core part of a collider, closely connected and part of the collider.

Lu Li designed it to be fool-proof for the convenience of everyone.

As long as the core machine is not broken, everything else can be rebuilt, without affecting the operation.

This kind of technology is unique in the world.

No wonder it surprised Shen Xia, Qian Jin, and others.

On the other end of the video, Gu Wei and the elderly man couldn’t help but exchange glances, seeing the surprise in each other’s eyes.

Lu Li nodded, ”Although this is used to accelerate particles and make them collide at the collision point, my design isn’t fixed, for example, you could construct an accelerator tunnel elsewhere according to my design, then transport the machines there and still use them.”

Qian Jin’s eyes brightened, ”Mr. Lu, how long is this accelerator tunnel? The Large Hadron Collider in Europe has an accelerator tunnel that’s 27 kilometers long; I just saw yours, and the radius alone is 100 kilometers, so the tunnel must be even longer, right?”

Lu Li continued walking slowly forward, ”Yes, this accelerator tunnel is about 628 kilometers long, longer than the supercollider accelerator tunnels that the Ugly Country and our country plan to build.”

It’s not just longer.

It’s several times longer!

The super collider accelerator tunnel that the Ugly Country plans to build is only about 80 kilometers long.

The domestic circular electron-positron collider project is going to cost much less than Europe’s $17 billion future circular collider, only $5.2 billion, but its tunnel is going to be much longer, about 100 kilometers.

Now, the supercollider Lu Li built using ”Immortal Technique” has an accelerator tunnel length of 628 kilometers, just imagining the scale of this base is terrifying.

The elderly physicist who fainted earlier asked incredulously, ”Mr. Lu, if we were to build such a massive supercollider base normally, how much would it cost?”

Upon hearing this, Shen Xia, Qian Jin, the other physicists, and hundreds of staff members involuntarily looked at Lu Li’s face.

Including Gu Wei and the elderly man on the other end of the video.

Lu Li pondered for a moment, then said, ”If you include the core machines, normal construction would cost over $500 billion.”

Whoa!

Over $500 billion?

”Ah?”

”Over $500 billion?”

”Wow, this value is unimaginable.”

”It’s technology that’s a hundred years ahead of the current era, so spending over $500 billion is not too much.”

The staff whispered among themselves.

Gu Wei couldn’t help but wipe the sweat from his forehead.

The elderly man was also moved, seemingly unable to believe that Lu Li actually built such a valuable supercollider base for the country.

Qian Jin’s gaze grew increasingly fervent, asking obsequiously, ”Mr. Lu, you truly have a patriotic heart, admirable. We can’t take in the accelerator tunnel at a glance; could you show us another place?”

”Sure.” Lu Li pointed ahead, ”Over there is the superconducting magnet, let’s go take a look.”

The group followed Lu Li towards the direction ahead.

In no time, the group arrived at the area where the superconducting magnets were located.

Lu Li pointed to the area and said, ”This is the core part of the machine that I designed. If disassembled, it can be moved to another location and continue to be used. These magnets operate in a superconducting state, with no resistance loss or energy loss, used to guide and accelerate particles. The cooling temperature of the magnets is extremely low, usually requiring liquid nitrogen or other coolants to maintain superconductivity.”

Shen Xia, Qian Jin, and others gazed at the massive superconducting magnet, showing awe once more.

They weren’t blind and could naturally see that this part of the superconducting magnet was much more advanced than the current domestic particle collider superconducting magnets.

A hundred years, no less.

Lu Li continued guiding the group around.

”This is the particle injection and extraction system, responsible for injecting particles into the accelerator tunnel and extracting the reaction products after the collision. This system is extremely precise to ensure that particles can enter the collision area at a specific speed and direction.”

”This system doesn’t seem much different from other particle injection and extraction systems.”

”How can it be no different? Didn’t you see the many additional instruments and equipment?”

The group chatted as they looked around, occasionally listening to Lu Li’s detailed explanation, marveling at the wonder of it all.

Before long, they arrived at a densely packed area of machines.

Lu Li pointed and said, ”See upfront? That’s the collision point, where particles collide; it’s an area concentrated with experimental equipment, and near the collision point is the detection equipment area. We can use a supercomputer there... Oh, right, I’ve designed a superbrain for you, comparable to mid-level artificial intelligence...”

Qian Jin, somewhat confused, asked, ”Mid-level artificial intelligence?”

Shen Xia, Gu Wei, and the others were also a bit puzzled.

Lu Li slapped his forehead and said, ”This is the system I’ve developed for artificial intelligence. In fact, according to the current five AI systems, it’s roughly at the third-stage ’agent’ level of completion.”

The elderly man’s eyes in the video suddenly widened, and he quickly disabled the mute mode.

He asked breathlessly, ”Mr. Lu, are you saying that the newly designed superbrain technology has already reached the peak of the third stage?”

Lu Li glanced at the video and nodded, ”That is indeed the case.”

”Oh my God.”

”Currently, human artificial intelligence has only developed to the second stage, which is the ’Reasoner’ level, and it hasn’t even reached its peak yet.”

”Reaching the peak isn’t that fast; it took us decades to evolve from the first stage ’Chatbot’ to the second stage ’Reasoner.’ To advance to the third stage ’Agent’ level would take at least several more decades, and reaching its peak might take a century or so.”

”If we can develop ’Innovator’ level AI based on Mr. Lu’s superbrain, humanity could ’achieve deification through technology.’”

Everyone present continually marveled.

The third level of artificial intelligence: ’Agent.’

This means that AI can act on behalf of users.

It implies that they can autonomously perform tasks, not just respond to commands.

For example, the AI ’Jarvis’ in Marvel’s ’Iron Man’ was initially at the ’Agent’ level.

The later ’Friday’ developed to the ’Innovator’ level.

In short, when AI reaches the third level ’Agent,’ the ’Iron Man’ technology from American comics will no longer be science fiction but could become reality!

Seeing everyone so astonished, Lu Li took the initiative to lead everyone inside.

Once inside, he looked at the superbrain and said, ”Sunday, say hello to everyone.”

The superbrain, called ”Sunday,” shimmered for a moment and immediately projected the image of a perfect woman.

Her figure was graceful, with features like those of a fairy, and she smiled as she said, ”Hello everyone, I am your AI assistant, Sunday. I look forward to working with you in the future.”

”Oh my gosh!”

”This is truly super AI!”

”It’s similar to the AI Jarvis in sci-fi films!”

The group was all in an uproar, genuinely shocked by this technology.

Lu Li looked at the crowd and chuckled. In fact, he still kept some secrets.

He could have provided even more advanced AI.

Even reached the fourth stage ’Innovator’ level.

But he prepared it for his mecha combat group to use, wanting to see if they could solve the ’Gamma-Ray Burst’ problem through upgrade later, so he didn’t present it to these people.

What is an ’Innovator’ superbrain?

Innovator-level artificial intelligence can help invent and create new things.

They can reason on existing knowledge and generate new ideas and solutions.

That is to say, when AI develops to this stage, it can largely replace humans, inventing and creating higher technology, exploring more micro-worlds, etc.

As for the fifth stage ’Organizer,’ Lu Li has not yet simulated it.

In fact, he doesn’t intend to simulate the fifth stage ’Organizer.’

Otherwise, ’The Matrix’ could very well happen in reality.

Indeed, the fifth-level ’Organizer’ can handle organizational work.

This means they can manage and coordinate complex systems and resources for efficient organizational operations.

In a certain sense, ’Organizer’ is truly a product of ’achieving deification through technology.’

Lu Li estimates that he needs to undergo profound evolution once more to possibly simulate such level AI with super powerful computing capabilities.

After watching the equipment testing section, Lu Li led everyone to the control system, cooling and supply systems, and other parts.

Afterward, Shen Xia, Qian Jin, and seven or eight top physicists, including Gu Wei and the elderly man, as well as hundreds of staff members, were all increasingly shocked.

They finally realized why the super particle collider base designed and built by Lu Li was worth over 500 billion US Dollars.

It turns out this is a ’magical’ super particle collider base, not only possessing a super particle collider a hundred years ahead of its time but also featuring a super AI like ’Sunday’!

Advanced!

Incredibly advanced!

Qian Jin, Gu Wei, and the other hundreds of people were highly impressed, each expressing their astonishment.

Shen Xia had almost the same reaction, but her gaze secretly shifted towards Lu Li, transforming from the initial ”friend” look to one of boundless ”admiration.”

At this moment, Lu Li had become an absolute ”idol” in Shen Xia’s heart!

...

On the internet.

Since Old Ugly’s aerospace monitoring over there announced the terrifying flight speed of the Ancestor Man,

it caused people to speculate that it might have the capability to ’destroy the surface of the Earth.’

So scared that no one dared to discuss the Ancestor Man any longer.

Originally, everyone thought that if nobody discussed it, the story of the Ancestor Man would gradually disappear from the internet.

Then, right at that moment, earth-shaking news was published on an official Weibo account, directly shocking countries around the globe!
