Counterfeit Hero

She only needs to command; everything else is completed by Fatty... seamlessly, perfectly matched!

Gratefully glancing at Fatty, who had already turned back to continue fighting with the tactical computer, Fang Xiang took a deep breath, extended her slender fingers, clicked on the screen, and sent out one command after another.

At this moment, it felt as if she had returned to the Saleria Longbow Star Domain, as if the scenes from when she was commanding the Longbow Fleet against the invasion of the Suss Fleet had reappeared before her eyes.

Fang Xiang’s eyes flickered, and she softly murmured to herself: ”General, I didn’t expect revenge would come so quickly! God bless Saleria!”

”Commander...” a Colonel suddenly called out loudly on the communication channel: ”Chuckna Fighter Group has entered A20 airspace, passing through the K19 passage of the 3rd Space Layer and is charging towards S21 airspace!”

”What?!” Maeda Youta suddenly stood up, momentarily lost in shock, then turned to Brenridge, saying in astonishment: ”General, the enemy fighter group has really arrived!”

”Have the battleships reached the designated location?” Brenridge sternly waved at Maeda Youta, asking on the command channel: ”Give me the accurate arrival time of the enemy fighter group at S21 airspace. Report the positions, courses, and speeds of our fleet fighter groups and the respective destroyer and cruiser squadrons. Immediately!”

”The remaining two cruisers of the First Cruiser Squadron, ’Loyalty’ and ’Bishop Elvey,’ are in S18 airspace, cooperating with the 3rd Destroyer Squadron to block the enemy’s assault, at coordinates 43332...”

”The third cruiser squadron ship, ’Ingersoll,’ was damaged, and now, under the cover of the cruiser ’Eastin,’ it is slowly withdrawing from the battlefield.”

”Chuckna Fighter Group’s navigation data calculations are completed, and the estimated time to reach S21 airspace is two minutes and forty seconds.”

”Our battleship group has completed all turns, crossing S20 airspace at full speed, with a speed of level sixteen. Estimated arrival time, one minute and fifty-six seconds!”

”Our first and fourth fighter squads have entered the D16 passage, estimated to reach the S21 Star Domain in four minutes and thirty-six seconds! The second and third fighter squads have entered A17 airspace, estimated arrival time five minutes.”

The reports from combat staff resounded continuously.

”Have the remaining space fighters of the carriers’ two groups been released?” Brenridge checked the time.

”They’ve been fully released and are forming escort formations.”

”Good!” Brenridge ordered: ”Command the battleship group, upon arrival at S21 airspace, to perform circular defense centered around the mother ship. Activate all air defense turrets, have the battleships perform cross-circling maneuvers, and cooperate with the stationed fighters to keep the Chuckna Fighter Group blocked outside the circular defensive formation until our fighters return! Simultaneously...”

At this point, Brenridge hesitated briefly, finally gritted his teeth and ordered: ”Command the second and third cruiser squadrons and the first and third destroyer squadrons to hold S18 airspace at all costs and block the enemy destroyers and cruiser groups outside of S19 airspace, no matter what. All other sub-fleet teams, immediately follow the SkyNet coordination system’s instructions, split into two wings, approach S21 airspace along A and D zones!”

”Yes!” The staff responded with a somewhat tremulous voice.

Maeda Youta’s eyes widened, looking incredulously at Brenridge.

He knew that now the second and third cruiser squadrons and the first and third destroyer squadrons were the most severely damaged among the A1 Fleet sub-teams. In the situation where Chuckna cruisers and destroyers hold the advantage, withdrawing other sub-fleet teams and using these sub-fleet teams to block Chuckna Fleet’s advance was no different from ordering these fleets to commit suicide!

Apparently, Brenridge was willing to sacrifice to buy time! In the few minutes of gap, he wanted to use the battleships and stationed fighters to prevent the Chuckna Fighter Group from delivering a devastating blow to the carriers and keep them entangled. Then, withdraw remaining cruisers and destroyers to form an external barricade against the Chuckna battleship group. Finally, wait for the four squads of ’Sword of Imperial Power’ space fighters to return, and devour the six fighter squads attacking!

Despite the horror, Maeda Youta still remained silent. He had to admit that this was the best response possible at the moment. Brenridge, who had commanded the A1 Fleet for ten years and was not regarded as outstanding within the Suss Interstellar Navy, was far more decisive and experienced than he imagined. Sitting in this position was definitely no fluke.

In the starry sky, the Suss Fleet swiftly maneuvered under Brenridge’s command.

”Andre, well done!”

In the regional communication channel, Shao’er, the ship captain of the ’Iliad’ cruiser, voiced his admiration.

Having just collaborated with the battleship ’Igor’ to accomplish a raid on the Suss main battleship ’Xisoba,’ Andre was already too excited to contain himself.

With his completed attack added in, the Chuckna Fleet had launched a sixteen to zero offensive surge against the Suss Fleet. This had never occurred in the history of the 1201 Fleet’s battles. Happiness arrived so quickly, so unexpectedly, like the goddess of fortune, seeing the plight of the Chuckna Fleet, extending her hand at this very moment.

The command system once again presented a route map, and new directives arrived.

”Right rudder 2100 mark, second space layer, thirty-degree pitch, enter E17 channel, speed level 19.” This time, even though Andre saw six Suss Destroyers and two cruisers converging in the target airspace on the radar, he hesitated not the least and swiftly issued commands according to the requirements of the command system.
