”Soarer, enter E9 channel, turn to C61 space region, and support Soarer.”

”Major General Costa, your second cruiser squad, intensify the offensive, you must tear open the enemy’s cruiser barrier on the right wing for me. Squadrons 102 and 103 have come to support you. It’s up to you!”

”Main formation artillery fire, S15 direction, coordinate center 36524.2566.55715.5, energy preview 12 seconds, three-degree delay, first cluster, dispersed target selection, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, fire! Second cluster, concentrated fire strike, 5, 4, 3, 2......”

In the command room of the Chuckna 1201 Fleet Vast Space Carrier, the lights were bright as daylight. The electronic voice of the SkyNet System and the voices of the staff’s instructions rose and fell. Outside the huge transparent main bridge window, rows of steel giant ships flickered in the light of the main gun salvo. Zhang Pengcheng stood on the central command platform, staring intently at the virtual screen on the command terminal in front of him, continuously issuing various commands.

The battle had reached its climax.

The Chuckna Fleet had gone mad, and the Suss Fleet had gone mad too. On this silent star domain, both sides fought to the death.

One battleship after another turned into debris shooting in all directions under the overwhelming energy cannon light. Countless space fighters rolled and soared at lightning speed within the firepower grid, one after another, space missiles and torpedoes continuously poured out of the launch tube. Electronic warfare had not stopped since it began, many warships’ electronic systems had been devastatingly hit, having to rely on the most primitive mechanical systems or manual systems to barely maintain their ship control and combat.

”Beep, beep!” An urgent communication alert sounded.

On the screen in front of Zhang Pengcheng, a simulation file labeled as bandit army was flashing rapidly. Also flashing was the communication request from the bandit army. He opened the file, glanced over it, and hadn’t managed to speak a word with Fatty on the communication screen when Zhang Pengcheng’s eyes froze.

A moment later, a bitter smile involuntarily appeared at the corner of Zhang Pengcheng’s mouth, as he looked up at Fatty on the communication screen: ”It seems there’s no escaping this fate!”

Seeing the content of the simulation, Zhang Pengcheng wasn’t that surprised. What amazed him was the insight of this young Major General of Leray and his precise simulation.

He knew that the simulation just sent by Fatty was correct. This simulation perfectly matched the inference that he had been gathering and sensing in his heart during combat command, based on the battle situation. Although the battle was intense, he hadn’t had the time to make a more detailed analysis. However, years of war experience and strategic intuition had already confirmed most of the inferences on the simulation.

However, even now, the Suss people’s plan was laid out clearly before him, but it was of no significance or use to himself and the 1201 Fleet. With the battle fought like this, turning and fleeing would definitely not escape the pursuit of the Suss Fleet. What he seemed to be able to do was nothing but fight to the death.

”If I say I have a way to try.......” Fatty hesitated, seemingly asking for command authority.

”As long as you have a way, I’ll agree to whatever you want to do!” Zhang Pengcheng directly interrupted Fatty: ”If you can lead the fleet out alive, I’ll even call you dad!

Seeing Fatty foolishly staring at him with a silly expression, Zhang Pengcheng laughed: ”Some people, even after a lifetime of friendship, don’t trust each other, while others, after just one meeting, can entrust each other with their lives! If you wanted to harm me, you wouldn’t have told me the information about the Suss Fleet. Now, I’m standing on the edge of a cliff, and since you dare to say you have a way, I’ll let go and wait for you to pull me up!”

”If you fall down, you won’t blame me?” Fatty stared into Zhang Pengcheng’s eyes.

”When I reach hell.....” Zhang Pengcheng said with a smile, ”I’ll curse you.”

Fatty laughed, this Admiral of Chuckna in his prime, just for his openness, was enough to command respect.

He passed all the operational plans and simulations from the tactical computer to Zhang Pengcheng in one go: ”I don’t have time to babble with you, nor the leisure to explain in detail, give me your command authority and SkyNet permission, look at these two operational plans first.”

”Alright!” Zhang Pengcheng opened the SkyNet core management program on the computer, entered the password, and prepared to transfer command authority and SkyNet control.

”Commander.....” Major General Marshal of the 1201 Fleet, who had been sitting on the command seat beside Zhang Pengcheng, and paying attention to the conversation between Zhang Pengcheng and Fatty, hastily said: ”Are you really.....”

Growing from a destroyer captain of the Twelfth Group Fleet to the commander leading the 1201 Fleet, the forty-three-year-old Marshal had been following Zhang Pengcheng since Zhang was a squadron leader. A long-time subordinate of Zhang Pengcheng, Marshal was very clear about his commander’s personality. Straightforward, open-minded yet meticulous, with an extremely tenacious character. Over the years, wandering between life and death numerous times, he had followed Zhang Pengcheng through it all. No matter how dangerous it got, never had he seen Zhang Pengcheng make any hasty decisions!

Yet today, Zhang Pengcheng seemed possessed, seeing that the 1201 Fleet had already gained the upper hand, he unbelievably decided to hand over the command authority and SkyNet control after just a few words from that Major General of Leray! This was simply unbelievable!

”You think I’m being too hasty, don’t you?” Seeing Marshal’s anxious face, Zhang Pengcheng smiled faintly while operating the transfer program, saying: ”I’ll give you three reasons! First, this General Tian provided us with the Suss Fleet’s information. We hadn’t even discovered their reconnaissance ship. Here, the bandit army is the local tyrant.....”

Zhang Pengcheng passed the SkyNet control authority to Fatty, continuing: ”...Second, this General Tian not only defeated an enemy on Mars, with Western Alliance support and a strength ten times his, with a lone army, but also just now, he assaulted the Suss Transport Fleet...” Zhang Pengcheng glanced at the time, adding: ”In just half an hour’s time, they’ve already finished the battle.”

As he spoke, he did not stop his hands, and within moments, Zhang Pengcheng had already modified the command authority in the command system and operation coordination system.

Seeing Zhang Pengcheng preparing to announce the change in command and control authority to the entire fleet through the communication system, Major General Marshall urgently asked, ”What about the third one, Admiral?”

”Can you solve this situation?......” Zhang Pengcheng stared at Major General Marshall. Looking at the simulation map on the tactical computer, Marshall slowly and heavily shook his head.

”You can’t solve it, and I can’t solve it. We don’t have time to consider anymore.....” Zhang Pengcheng sighed, somewhat gloomily stopping his fingers above the send button on the keyboard, and after a moment, resolutely pressed it: ”Well then, let’s see how others are doing it!”

”General, the Chuckna Fleet has changed formation!”

Amid the report from a Suss staff officer with a face full of confusion, Brenridge couldn’t help but frown.

Exchanging glances with Maeda Youta who was beside him, the two quickly walked over to this staff officer and asked, ”What’s going on?”

”Look, General!” The staff officer pointed at the radar screen’s cursor and urgently said, while pulling up a video from SkyNet showing the observation perspective of a Suss Cruiser on the battlefield: ”This left-wing group, numbered one-two-one in our system as Chuckna Cruiser squad, abandoned the assault on my central main formation and moved towards the enemy one-three-three Destroyer squad on my fleet’s right wing.”

As he spoke, the staff officer’s fingers tapped twice on the keyboard, enlarging the cursor on the radar screen into a ship simulation map, and continued: ”This happened as the one-two-one Cruiser squad left the left wing...... The enemy’s Battleship cluster also started splitting simultaneously!”

”Battleship cluster splitting?” Brenridge and Maeda Youta exchanged glances. Maeda Youta urgently asked, ”Did the Combat Department do a synchronous simulation?”

”It’s just discovered, they’re doing it now. The results aren’t out yet.” The staff reported.

”What is the Chuckna Fleet trying to do?” Brenridge was somewhat puzzled by the movements of the Chuckna Fleet changing formation. His gaze involuntarily fell on that blank area at the first moment.

From the situation view, right now, although the Suss Fleet has engaged with the Chuckna Fleet, most of those involved are cruisers, destroyers, and space fighters. Occasionally, there are a few battleships, but they are more for additional firepower as part of sub-fleets.

The main battleground for engagement, near the Suss Battleship formation, occasionally sees Chuckna Fleet’s fighter jets or destroyer clusters breaking through local blockades, fighting their way into the Battleship Main Formation.

However, the Suss Fleet and Chuckna Fleet’s Battleship formation are still approximately six thousand kilometers apart.

This distance is the closest distance at which the Battleship’s main gun can exert power and efficiency. If too close, not only the interaction charging of the main and secondary guns can’t keep up, but battleships, which are not known for agility, are likely to suffer from the impact of swift enemy ships and fighter clusters, reducing survivability considerably. Hence, historically, in space battles, the Battleship Main Formation, as the greatest attack power, would maintain a distance of between one to three hundred thousand kilometers from the enemy, under the protective cover of other winged ships and carrier aircraft, to utilize its firepower advantage.

This time is no exception. Although the Chuckna Battleships are fighting hard, clearly, they didn’t intend to use battleships to assault the Suss A1 Fleet’s Battleship formation. Long-range salvos from Chuckna Redemption-class battleships, more advanced than the Suss [Typhoon] Class battleships, obviously possess more advantage. Moreover, their cruisers, destroyers, and fighter jets are gradually gaining the upper hand, frequently causing great trouble to the main formation of Suss Battleships.

If it continues fighting like this, of course, there’s no problem.

But, under the opponent’s advantage, their cruiser squad suddenly showed no motive, making an unexpected detour towards the right wing. And the battleship cluster, which was supposed to be used collectively, even abandoned the firepower advantage that completely suppressed the Suss Battleship formation, starting to split into two wings with a tendency to advance towards the A1 Fleet......

What are these Chuckna people trying to do?

”They want to change formation, using a satellite spiral tactic, to move their back from the A2 Fleet’s jump point!” Suddenly, Maeda Youta shouted: ”They’ve found it!”
