Counterfeit Hero

Along this logistics supply line that maintains Suss to the Saleria Longbow Star System, in addition to Suss’s fleet, there were also three Chuckna Fleets and a B-level fleet from the Feiyang Republic. These enemy fleets pouring into the main channel are like time bombs on Suss’s logistics path; people can only hear the ticking, but do not know when they will explode.

Sitting in the command chair, rubbing his constantly throbbing temples, Bod felt a wave of fatigue.

His nerves were stretched too tightly!

According to the intelligence, Chuckna’s three fleets have already split up. Two of them have arrived at Mars Free Port, blocking a segment of an A-level route leading from the Free Port to the main channel, maintaining a stance of firm defense. The other fleet, however, has been roaming the main channel, and their traces have not yet been discovered.

And the third segment of the main channel near the Mars route is undoubtedly the most dangerous spot.

Under such circumstances, in such a place, the transport fleet he was escorting was delivering military supplies for the First and Second Army Group of the Suss Saleria Front Army!

In addition to ordinary weapon parts, the giant transport ship carried Empire’s 10th generation [Aurora] human-shaped Single Soldier Mechas enough to arm an armored division, modified Typhoon-class Battleship 3200mm main guns, 2200mm secondary guns, and 1100mm rotary runs, top-secret long-distance array radar system, multi-level electronic interference systems, and a newly developed integrated active detection fire control system!

These items were lying in sets in the transport ship’s cargo hold, with a total value of nearly 20 billion Fei Yuan, almost equivalent to the cost of a B-level fleet!

Looking around, in front of the central demonstration platform in the control room, five staff members were discussing something. Beside them, on a standing transparent flat panel display, was the interstellar map marked by blue lines and red markers. Two other staff members and two navigators were marking or recording something on these floor-to-ceiling glass-like interstellar maps, occasionally exchanging a few words in low voices.

In front of the central control console, the radar, communication, and scanning systems emitted various electronic sounds, the sound of keyboard tapping by the operators, the low whispers between the navigators and the chief navigator, and the discussions of the staff, all mixed together in a tense and orderly manner.

Everything seemed no different from a regular escort mission.

Bod sighed quietly, wondering if these subordinates knew that this escort mission actually had the nature of acting as bait to lure the enemy, would they still maintain this ordinary state.

A sweet bait of 20 billion Fei Yuan, Admiral Gershkov, has certainly spent a fortune!

”We don’t aim to annihilate the enemy!”

The somewhat balding and short figure of Gershkov seemed to appear before Bod’s eyes again.

”What we need, however, is merely an opportunity to locate the enemy and force them into the routes around Mars.”

. Originally planned to send out the later part together, but due to needing to repeatedly consider the description perspective, I couldn’t come up with it at once. Therefore, I am releasing this modified segment first. More than six thousand words compressed into four thousand words. Unable to write from Fatty’s perspective due to ability issues, not attitude issues. For such plots, if anyone has better handling methods, feel free to post and let me know. I seem to be somewhat confused about writing this type of plot now, even unsure of how to proceed.
