Counterfeit Hero

We’ve tried to rescue, but it was your mistake that made it impossible. You have to understand, all these communications are recorded! As long as the lock code remains the same, they can serve as evidence in a military court!

Sammon gritted his teeth and switched the communication screen on the computer.

”How is it?” Carolina appeared on the screen, her eyebrows tightly knitted.

”They agreed to continue executing the original plan, but...” Sammon repeated the conversation with Zhang Pengcheng.

Carolina visibly relaxed, and said, ”Hopefully, the situation is not as the bandit army says. If it really is, after ending the jump, immediately approach the Chuckna Fleet and find a way to detach from the Suss Fleet. The Mars Front Army needs a complete Feiyang Fleet!”

When she said the last sentence, Carolina’s expression was somewhat peculiar.

After the communication ended, Sammon sat down slowly in the chair, silent.

The 15th Fleet wasn’t tactically synchronized with the 1201 Fleet, not because of any system failure. It was the result of his order to accelerate forward!

At thirty-eight years old this year, after graduating university Sammon joined the Fei Alliance Navy. At twenty-six, he was sent to study at the Feiyang Expeditionary Naval Academy due to outstanding performance in various aspects. After graduation, he was assigned as a lieutenant navigation officer on a destroyer in a military base of a small country in the northwest airspace and gradually promoted. Before the war broke out, he was the combat department director of the Dalapeiya 5th Regional Fleet.

This time, due to past cooperation with Carolina, and familiarity between them, he was assigned by the Military Department to lead this B-level ship drawn from the 5th Regional Fleet to Mars to build the space power of the Mars Front Army, assisting Carolina.

Shortly before entering the main channel, he received an order from Carolina to collaborate with the Chuckna 1201 Fleet to attack a Suss Transport Fleet!

Upon learning the situation of the transport fleet, the first thought that popped into Sammon’s mind was achievements!

This transport fleet was simply delivering achievements to his door!

With his military qualities, he would certainly consider the ambush within, but with the Chuckna Fleet as support, this consideration was no longer primary. What’s important was how to credit the achievement to himself!

It was precisely based on this mindset that Sammon made this mistake.

The smooth facade all the way led him to rashly decide to speed up the fleet’s advance. He wanted to launch the attack on the Suss Transport Fleet before the Chuckna people did. What he cared about was how the battle report would describe the situation. Was it B15 assisting 1201, or 1201 assisting B15? The difference in wording had significant implications for his future.

There’s a saying, ”Whoever gets there first takes charge,” but in this battle, it should be amended to ”Whoever arrives first takes charge!”

This kind of cleverness, many play with, and there’s no risk.

Yet, he couldn’t have dreamed that just as his fleet entered warp state, due to that damned bandit army’s damned intelligence, Zhang Pengcheng suddenly decided to abandon the combat plan and ordered a retreat.

Sammon was completely stunned at that time. He couldn’t imagine what would happen if his fleet faced the Suss A-level Fleet alone. Nor could he imagine how bleak his future would be if his fleet suffered heavy losses in his hands.

He only knew that he absolutely couldn’t let the Chuckna people leave! This plan must be firmly executed. After all, it’s just a Suss Fleet, and he still had a chance to win!

Sammon loosened his uniform collar. This huge mistake had already left him breathless. What suffocated him further was a thought he could never speak aloud!

This thought wasn’t only his, Carolina shared it too!

”Immediately approach the Chuckna Fleet... find a way to detach from the base... Need a complete Feiyang Fleet.”

Carolina’s voice resurfaced in his ears.

Sammon smiled wryly. This former colleague of his seemed to never make things clear. Her hints were always so subtle.

In Carolina’s eyes, the interests of Feiyang always outweighed everything.

Whether it was morality, justice, rules... In war, she saw herself purely as a Feiyang Soldier, centered entirely on Feiyang’s interests. She’s like a madwoman, desperately defending everything about Feiyang without regard for cost or means. No one can say whether her pathological behavior is pathetic or respectable.

A nationalist like this is always different from selfish people like himself!

Sammon found it somewhat absurd. One is patriotic and selfless; the other selfish and self-centered. Yet, the methods they consider are exactly the same. The difference is Carolina finds it justified without any psychological burden, while people like him feel ashamed and panic because of it.

Perhaps the trap from Suss isn’t real.

But if it is, at the critical moment, besides betrayal... is there any other way?

, Thank you all immensely for your support. Successfully overwhelmed JJ’s Pipi, I’m thrilled; I guess you are too as you smirk in front of your computers. It’s the end of the month; brothers with monthly tickets, please click a bit more. That fat goose ahead sways its snow-white Pipi arrogantly around the world, I’m behind by more than six hundred steps and truly wish to rush forward and triumph over it.

Additionally, regarding the so-called gossip from Crazy Ice Roar about the supercomputer, I can only express deep regret that it’s absolutely a rumor. Rumors are stopped by wise individuals. You wouldn’t really believe them, would you?

He’s spitting blood, and I just won’t remain silent anymore, decisively revealing the truth!

I have photographic evidence of this.

In those pictures on Qidian Climbing Waterfall, there’s one of a Fatty in red clothes walking dejectedly downstream, that is Fat Ice. He had just fallen off the waterfall.

That day, he rushed ahead. Climbing the waterfall was actually very safe. There were iron chains to hold onto. But as soon as this Fatty saw a hole in the stone, he got excited immediately!

At that moment, the wind rose, clouds churned, and the mist attacked.

Fat Ice, in the water mist, looked at the MM behind him, laughing and laughing.

”Everyone, look, I can do it without hands!”

The result... he sat gloomily on a stone beside the pool, covering his crotch.
