Counterfeit Hero

The system provided different configuration conditions for both sides, but overall it was completely balanced. The intelligence on the opponents was limited to a certain range, and neither side knew which of the hundreds of spaceports and cities was the other’s target.

This mode tests who has quicker judgment and reaction speed, whose commands are more reasonable, and whose tactics are more appropriate, posing a great challenge to both sides’ comprehensive simulation abilities.

Fang Xiang reviewed the intelligence gathered by SkyNet, and quickly analyzed the environment and the situation between allies and enemies based on the intelligence. She then began deploying troops, configuring weaponry, setting up logistics supply, and other pre-war preparations. Each condition was swiftly read, and based on these conditions and data, Fang Xiang’s command flowed smoothly and effortlessly.

The staff found that Fang Xiang could simultaneously handle as many as sixty-nine conditions, indicating her current simulation level had reached Quasi-Seven Stars. These interconnected conditions were so complex that just reading them was dizzying. The staff could only randomly select a few to track, and the results left them speechless.

To describe it as seamless is not an exaggeration. Fang Xiang handled these interconnected conditions without a hint of contradiction. The allocation of weaponry and supplies, the movement of personnel, the unfolding of combat plans, coordination among various arms... everything was just perfect.

When Fang Xiang commanded the fleet to move towards the spaceport along the chosen safe Jump Channel, system time had only passed nine hours! In real-time, only eighteen minutes had gone by!

The staff glanced at Fatty with looks full of pity.

The guy sneaking around in the corner like a thief, who didn’t know if he had completed his pre-war preparations. His symbols probably wouldn’t help him much. Judging by the system’s scoring of Fang Xiang’s troop configuration, the spaceport could almost be taken in one fell swoop. Occupying the ground city would pose no major problem for Fang Xiang’s command skills either.

Given Fang Xiang’s smooth advance, this confrontation could be over in less than half an hour. If she moved quickly enough, Fang Xiang might even only need to deploy one Mecha to achieve final occupation and victory conditions.

As system time flew by, when Fang Xiang’s fleet arrived in the airspace of the target spaceport, suddenly, everyone was stunned.

To everyone’s surprise, they discovered a red fleet forming a circular defense around a spaceport was right in the area! And not far from that airspace, Spaceport No. 191 was exactly the one Fang Xiang needed to occupy!

Fang Xiang’s and Fatty’s spaceports turned out to be adjacent!

As this question appeared in everyone’s mind, another bigger question arose - how did Fatty move so fast?!

From the actions of the red fleet, it was apparent that Fatty had completed deploying troops to the spaceport and had already gained control of the spaceport; otherwise, the fleet wouldn’t dare face its rear towards a spaceport with ground-based anti-aircraft firepower network!

Could it be.....

”Wow!” Fatty exclaimed: ”How did you get here?”

Cecilia and a few staff members turned to check Fatty’s computer screen.

”No peeking!” Fatty practically lay across the console: ”I’ll call for help if you come any closer!”

”Fine, we won’t look!” Cecilia stomped her foot: ”What’s so great about it, you must have launched an attack without reasonable configuration! Otherwise, how could you be so fast!”

Cecilia’s words gave everyone the most credible explanation.

Fang Xiang, who was a bit dazed by the appearance of the red fleet, also regained her composure.

As a series of commands were given, Fang Xiang’s fleet quickly formed an attack formation and charged at the red fleet.

Meanwhile, Fatty’s fleet wasn’t idle either and engaged head-on.

Everyone held their breath.

On the virtual screen in front, the offensive and defensive rhythm of both sides was shifting rapidly. Fang Xiang’s local command was smooth and incisive, and the specialties of the different fleet ships were pushed to the extreme during high-speed movement. Aircraft carrier fighter jets, battleship salvos, high-speed Destroyer charges, cruiser flanking maneuvers… all tactical operations were as precise as textbook examples.

However, no matter how aggressive Fang Xiang’s offensive was, Fatty managed to defuse it one by one.

This guy obviously understood he had the upper hand, and the fleet’s tactics were particularly sneaky. All ships ran at full throttle, zigzagging up and down in space without directly engaging Fang Xiang, merely employing a relentless entangling strategy, circling from afar. Like a Wolf Pack, they nibble here and there, never letting Fang Xiang’s fleet be at peace.

Fang Xiang and the staff beside her were momentarily lost in thought.

This encounter, the simulation system already provided an answer.... Fatty’s fleet configuration had no apparent defects. Instead, in this local combat command, he even occupied a certain advantage! Even more unexpectedly, in this real-time battle commanded entirely through orders, his offensive and defensive rhythm was also surprisingly fast!

It’s worth noting that while commanding this local battle, Fang Xiang had stopped all other commands. She applied her full capacity to manage sixty-nine simulation conditions to this battle. The speed of the ships, breakthrough routes, formation coordination, power and fire control, personnel deployment, use of the environment, combat maneuvers, feinting, encircling, assaulting......

For the ever-changing conditions from the system, Fang Xiang’s commands were nothing short of rapid and precise.

Yet, no matter what she did, the situation developed in favor of Fatty. In just a few minutes, Fang Xiang had already lost twenty percent of her forces. However, Fatty had only lost one cruiser and three Destroyers, totaling less than three percent of his ships.

Fang Xiang’s fleet was like an enraged bull. In contrast, Fatty’s red fleet was more like an apparently chaotic yet orderly net! The command difficulty gap in this was obvious even to a fool!

Fang Xiang was at a Seven-star Simulation Level, but Fatty...... All the shocked eyes were now focusing on Fatty.

Fatty rested one cheek in his hand, leisurely tapping the console with the other hand.

”Damn Fatty!” Fang Xiang bit her lip gently. She knew she would probably lose this confrontation.

However, she didn’t intend to surrender just yet. Tolstoy had once given her a lesson, and now, the unresolved issue of that lesson should let this Fatty have a taste of it.

When facing an exceptionally ruthless enemy who doesn’t care about subordinates’ lives and always opts for mutual destruction, what would you do?
