Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 43: Chapter 41: Generating an Instance Dungeon

”Ah!”

As the pink flower was plucked by the skeleton, a scream echoed in Gu Xi’s ears.

The scream was even sharper than Luna’s Banshee Wail. Under such a scream, Gu Xi spurted a mouthful of blood on the spot, and his life dropped drastically, falling to half.

Gu Xi then felt the ground trembling, as if something was trying to break through from underground.

Without caring about anything else, Gu Xi grabbed the flower thrown by the skeleton and decisively shouted.

”Run!”

At the same time, he ran towards the direction of the Route 19 steam bus station.

When Gu Xi shouted this, those who had fallen to the ground due to the threads sprayed from the flower seemed to react as well.

They stood up in small groups, some escaping into nearby rooms, while others fled alongside Gu Xi.

Some holy knights stood up from the ground, tightly gripping their swords and shields, facing the writhing roots and tendrils on the ground.

In their eyes was a resolute expression. As holy knights, their faith compelled them to fight to the end.

But Gu Xi didn’t care about them. At this moment, he could clearly sense the danger behind him.

If he turned around, he would be left here forever.

So Gu Xi had no time to look back; he kept running, eventually passing the Route 19 steam bus station.

After running about two kilometers, Gu Xi finally felt the sense of danger behind him weaken.

Before he could turn around to see what had happened, someone pinned him down.

”Bone...”

Gu Xi was about to release a bone spike at the person who grabbed him, but before he could move, a surge of positive energy was injected into his body, dispersing all his preparations.

Gu Xi looked up and found a short-haired black-haired woman standing in front of him, her cold arm resting on his shoulder.

The woman wore a white robe trimmed with gold, with a golden griffin embroidered at the hem.

”Did you escape from Westminster?”

”Ah, yes, yes!”

”Anna, Anastasia, you might have heard of my name. Can you tell me what happened in Westminster?”

Being questioned, Gu Xi finally came to his senses. Although he had never heard of Anna’s name, he could tell that she was a high-tier presence from Britain, here to respond to the current situation.

He hurriedly began to recount the situation over at Westminster Cathedral.

Anna wasn’t very concerned about the help from Hart or the things Gu Xi encountered in the alley.

It wasn’t until Gu Xi mentioned plucking a pink flower that Anna asked seriously.

”Where’s the flower?”

Gu Xi hurriedly handed over the flower in his hand.

As he handed it over, Gu Xi was astonished to find that the originally pink flower had turned pitch black.

”How is this possible?”

Gu Xi exclaimed in shock, but Anna showed no surprise.

Instead, she nodded normally, ”So it truly is, a mirror anomaly. Everyone, prepare to rescue Westminster Cathedral.”

As Anna finished speaking, Gu Xi suddenly felt the surrounding space pause, and then his view shifted from the Route 19 steam bus station to the sky.

From the vantage point in the sky, Gu Xi saw the changes occurring around Westminster Cathedral. At this moment, in various areas around the cathedral, and in every alley, a large number of roots and tendrils had appeared, each with a pink flower.

Under the influence of the flowers, nearby people were controlled by the red threads being sprayed out. They struggled to resist, but in the end, had no choice but to walk towards Westminster Cathedral under the red threads’ control.

And in the center of Westminster Cathedral, a gigantic apple tree burst through the ceiling and grew outward.

This enormous apple tree was over three hundred meters tall, its canopy covering half of Westminster Cathedral Square.

Gu Xi could even see many people fighting within Westminster Cathedral.

But their efforts could not affect the unfolding events.

More and more people, under the control of the red threads, walked to the square of Westminster Cathedral, and then something hung down from the apple tree to lift them up.

These people ended up hanging from the apple tree like apples, their bodies covering the entire tree.

Once Gu Xi saw the entirety of the Westminster Cathedral’s situation, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head, and this stimulus finally brought him back to reality.

By this time, Anna had already handed the black flower she obtained to an elder beside her.

”Grand Knight, take this flower. We can hold for three days, and I hope you can find a way to deal with the mirror anomaly within that time.”

”Eldest Princess, you cannot...”

”This is the coronation site of the royal family, and I cannot let the mirror anomaly occupy this place. This is my responsibility as a member of the royal family.

Grand Knight, the rest is up to you.

Let’s go!”

After giving some instructions, Anna led her subordinates, heading resolutely towards Westminster Cathedral.

Behind her was a large number of holy knights clad in white heavy armor. Upon entering Westminster Cathedral, they swiftly formed a defensive line to prevent further spread of the anomaly.

At this moment, a ’ding’ sound echoed in Gu Xi’s ear.

[You have encountered the Westminster Cathedral major event. As this event affects Victoria City, a dungeon has automatically been generated. As the first player to contact this event, you have received a dungeon crystal stone, which can activate the dungeon five times.]

Along with this message, a blue crystal appeared in Gu Xi’s hand.

Holding this crystal, Gu Xi could clearly see the situation inside Westminster Cathedral.

It was exactly like the scene Gu Xi had just witnessed.

It seemed like everything was endlessly repeating inside the crystal.

Gu Xi understood that this was the opportunity given to him.

The Westminster Cathedral before him had now become a dungeon, and he could take this crystal away or use it now.

Glancing back at the Westminster Cathedral already enshrouded in mist, Gu Xi didn’t hesitate and merely pocketed the crystal.

Gu Xi wasn’t foolish. Looking at the situation, it was clear he couldn’t confront any of the monsters within. So why rush in and face certain death?

He’d be better off finding a place to level up, and return to tackle the dungeon once he reached the appropriate level.

With no one around paying attention to him, Gu Xi decisively headed out.

He circled widely around the Westminster Cathedral area, found a bus station, and casually boarded a steam bus to leave this troublesome place.

Though he didn’t know the destination of the steam bus, Gu Xi couldn’t care less now.

He only had one thought: to get as far away from this dangerous place as possible, and return to deal with the dungeon and save Anna, who had voluntarily entered, when his strength was sufficient!
