Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 11: Chapter 9: Forceful Upgrade

”Get lost!”

Gu Xi, still irritated by the appearance of the Royal Spy, was furious as he looked at the approaching Black Robe Cultists.

Without caring for anything else, he pointed at the few Black Robe Cultist corpses that hadn’t been dealt with in the distance.

”Corpse Burst, Corpse Burst, another Corpse Burst...!”

Boom boom boom!

Under Gu Xi’s Secondary Corpse Burst, many charging Black Robe Cultists were blown away.

Luna best understood Gu Xi’s intentions. Seeing Gu Xi act recklessly, she flew to the front line of the battlefield and unleashed three waves of Banshee Wail on the undead Black Robe Cultists.

The power and range of Corpse Burst combined with Banshee Wail were quite large.

A large number of Black Robe Cultists rushing in were instantly killed or injured.

A flood of kill notifications flashed before Gu Xi’s eyes, as if spamming his screen.

This situation made Gu Xi pause for a moment; he didn’t expect this wave to be so lucrative and that he would immediately level up.

[Upon leveling up, reaching Level 2, replenishes Life and Mana, removes all adverse statuses, Intelligence +1, and choose one of the following three skills as a reward.]

Gu Xi glanced at the upgrade prompt, then at his remaining 400 mana points, and burst out laughing.

”Luna, push forward!”

Luna glanced back at Gu Xi and saw him advancing with the Combat Squad. As he moved forward, he gathered mana, confirming that Gu Xi had made up his mind.

So Luna didn’t think further and pushed forward on the spot.

After advancing more than ten meters, Luna opened her mouth and unleashed a Banshee Wail, awakening the four to five hundred Black Robe Cultists standing before the abandoned gates.

After finishing the wail, Luna quickly turned back and moved closer to Gu Xi.

The Combat Squad around Gu Xi quickly moved forward, facing the four to five hundred Black Robe Cultists head-on.

Before the sides clashed, Gu Xi, who was summoning, twisted a spell in his hand, pointing to the corpses in front of him that he hadn’t had time to summon.

”Corpse Burst!”

Gu Xi used up all his mana in one breath.

This time, it wasn’t just two or three Secondary Corpse Bursts, but more than eighty.

At first, Gu Xi targeted the corpses on the ground, but soon, even the Black Robe Cultists flying in the air were targeted.

With one Secondary Corpse Burst after another, the entire underground space was awakened, and more and more Black Robe Cultists rushed toward the range where Gu Xi was casting Corpse Burst.

After exhausting the last bit of mana, Gu Xi stepped back, reaching out towards the location of the series of explosions.

With Gu Xi’s gesture, a large number of white dots of light flew into his hand.

Soul Drawing.

Having depleted all his mana, Gu Xi looked a bit pale, but a strange aura started to emerge around him as the white dots gathered around him.

As the white dots clustered together, Gu Xi didn’t merge the soul fragments into complete souls as he had before.

Instead, he turned his hand, and the soul fragments automatically collided with each other.

Then, without any intention of using these complete souls or any corpses, he pressed down with both hands, and the complete souls rained down like raindrops onto the freshly exploded corpses.

”Upgrade, choose Undead Domination, Summoning! Rise up for me!”

With a flash of golden light on Gu Xi’s body, his depleted mana quickly refilled, as did his life and status.

After glancing at his new level status, Gu Xi focused his attention on the Soul Summoning Skill he had just cast.

As the white dots rained onto the corpses, the bodies that had already been exploded once more.

Except this time, the explosion wasn’t as powerful, merely rendering the corpses into a bloody mess.

Amidst the flying flesh, skeletons began to emerge from the gore one by one.

At the same time, one message after another popped up before Gu Xi.
