Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 27: Chapter 25: Changes in the Assembly Hall

”You came just in time, I also have an idea about this city.”

Gu Xi saw Luna come in and wanted to share his plans for Yaliduo City.

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, Luna smiled happily.

After gaining partial control of Yaliduo City, Gu Xi noticed that Luna’s entire ghostly demeanor had changed. Although she still looked like a ghost, the low pressure that originally overshadowed her was gone.

The whole ghost appeared more agile and vivid.

”Then, you go first, my lord.”

”Luna, this is what I think: now that one-third of Yaliduo can be considered our city, although we don’t have enough strength yet, we have time.

Look, let’s first build the city walls and gates, and then, when we have enough troops, we can take over the remaining two-thirds of the city.

I can’t oversee these things constantly; the arrangements within Yaliduo City will have to be handled by you.”

Gu Xi had just finished speaking when Luna chimed in.

”My lord, that’s exactly what I was about to say. We haven’t digested the territory we currently hold; deploying more troops now would be risky. I also think we should construct small buildings like city walls and gates first.

Once we have enough forces, we can attack and take the other areas of Yaliduo City.”

”Haha, it seems we’re on the same page.”

Gu Xi was increasingly satisfied with Luna.

At this moment, Luna added another comment.

”By the way, my lord, in Yaliduo City, we can do it this way because we are already rooted here. But elsewhere, things are different; in Victoria City, you need to establish an anchor point.”

Hearing Luna’s words, Gu Xi paused.

”Is there something different about Victoria City?”

”Do you still remember those people used as sacrifices and the cultists preparing a blood sacrifice for you?”

Gu Xi nodded affirmatively.

”I remember. They ambushed me. If I hadn’t entered Yaliduo City, I would have uprooted them all.”

”My lord, when I took control of this part of Yaliduo City, I saw some situations from inside and learned about some recent changes there.

Due to those cultists’ blood sacrifices, the big shot sent into Yaliduo City hasn’t died.

What died is this less than three square kilometers of Yaliduo City.”

Luna’s words were a bit vague, and Gu Xi didn’t quite understand at first.

”Hold on, is there a problem here?”

”Yes, initially, the mirrored city was just this three square kilometers of Yaliduo City.

Originally, the British Royal Family intended to exile and trap that big shot.

But who would have thought that this big shot’s followers would still include a batch of cultists. Regardless of whether they acted for power or other reasons, they spread the news about the Mirror Image Underground Palace.

This led to the concept of the Mirror Image Underground Palace being disseminated; if it was just that, it would be fine.

But in recent years, the British Royal Family has kept experiencing problems, and their deaths have lent a mysterious allure to the legend of the Mirror Image Underground Palace.

And the cultists’ blood sacrifices have provided the needed energy for the Mirror Image Underground Palace.

So, over the years, in this space, the replication of Victoria City has been continuously repeated.”

At this, Luna sighed, ”You might not expect, my lord, why our three square kilometers of Yaliduo City turned into a dead city.

That’s because the place corresponding to Yaliduo Old Town District no longer casts its old shadow; a new district has appeared, and the abandoned old district naturally died.”

Upon Luna’s explanation, Gu Xi understood the situation there.

He also understood Luna’s thoughts.

”You’re saying if I only want the three square kilometers’ worth of land, it’s fine to stop now. But if I want a city as big as Victoria City, I have to establish an anchor point in the real world.

And then fight from the real world to the new Yaliduo District?”

”Yes, from what I’ve seen, the city’s transitions have undergone six phases; no matter which transition we seize, it would be much larger than the current city.”

After hearing this, Gu Xi rolled his eyes, ”Alright, I know what to do. Let me handle the matters in Yaliduo City first, and then I’ll go to Victoria City to establish an anchor point as soon as possible.”

Seeing Gu Xi agree, Luna said nothing more, only nodding affirmatively, then followed behind Gu Xi, explaining the newly transformed Assembly Hall to him.

Although it had become a functional building, the structure of the two little house floors hadn’t fundamentally changed.

Only the functions had somewhat altered; the dining room that used to be at the entrance is now the meeting hall, with Yaliduo City’s city map placed here. If Gu Xi needed anything, he could maneuver troops on the map.

At the same time, Gu Xi could use the map to understand various information about Yaliduo and its surroundings.

The left-hand side kitchen had vanished, becoming a design and storage point for building blueprints; any buildings intended to be constructed in Yaliduo City would require blueprints from here.

The right-hand side leads to the stairs going to the second floor, with a display shelf underneath holding nothing at all, but Gu Xi understood it was meant for storing some of his trophies.

Of course, if Gu Xi hadn’t chosen to make Yaliduo his main city, it would likely be used to store Luna’s trophies.

Leading up the stairs to the second floor, there were three rooms.

The room where Luna regained her memory was the children’s room, now sealed with ice, with only Luna free to enter and exit, as no other person could get in.

Besides this room, there was a master bedroom and a secondary bedroom, both livable rooms. Apart from a bed and nightstand, the master bedroom also had a desk.

Resting here, Gu Xi needed only two hours to restore all life and mana.

Additionally, there was a basement under the Political Hall in the basement for storing various documents.

It’s not necessarily useful, but having it is absolutely necessary.

Taking a walk around the Assembly Hall, after knowing its various functions, Gu Xi left the Assembly Hall with Luna.

As soon as he exited the Assembly Hall, Gu Xi noticed the battlefield outside had been cleaned up.

Since there were no longer battles, the deceitful energy pearl undead didn’t dare to use them up entirely, allocating them following the way previously arranged with Gu Xi.

Gu Xi retained a third, another third went to the combat squad, and the final third belonged to the individual undead.

Seeing the deceitful balloons piled up at the Assembly Hall’s entrance, Luna abruptly said.

”These can be converted into Negative Energy Points at a one-to-one ratio.”
