Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 36: Chapter 34: Land Exchange Plan

”Oh, it’s just this matter.”

Shaya reluctantly took two steps back, then sat lightly on the edge of the wooden barrel.

She lifted her legs, just squeezing the red skirt between them, the red sheer skirt wrapped around her rounded thighs, looking like a lustrous jade pillar.

”What are you looking at?”

Seeing Gu Xi looking over, Shaya just tugged at her clothes but made no move to jump down.

”I’m not looking at anything. Just tell me if you can handle this matter.”

”Such a simple task can definitely be handled. Tell me, who are you looking for? Our Destiny Compass has been in Victoria for hundreds of years; we’ve got connections everywhere. If you provide a name and information, even if it turns into bones, we can dig it out for you.”

”It’s not that complicated. I just want you to help find a broker to deal with some real estate issues.”

”A broker? Dealing with real estate problems is easy. But which area’s real estate do you want to handle? No need for specifics, just tell me the major district, and I’ll arrange personnel for you directly.”

Shaya became even less interested, not knowing where she pulled out a shiny little knife and began to manicure her nails.

”Camden District. I have a Land Purchase Order for three hundred square meters. I don’t want much, but I need to acquire a piece of land in Camden District at the very least.”

”What did you say?” Shaya jumped off the edge of the barrel.

”Camden District, what’s wrong? Is it inconvenient there?”

Gu Xi looked at Shaya with some confusion, not understanding why she seemed so nervous.

”No, do you have a Land Purchase Order?”

Shaya wasn’t concerned about the district but the Land Purchase Order in Gu Xi’s hand.

”Yes, why do you want to snatch it?”

Gu Xi’s eyes hardened, staring at Shaya with a changed gaze.

Shaya felt a chill over her body, as if a dagger was pressed against her throat.

”No, our Destiny Compass is part of the Order Guild; we don’t have the concept of infighting. Don’t be too tense.”

Gu Xi didn’t speak or withdraw his demeanor, just quietly watched Shaya’s performance.

”I really didn’t mean it; it’s just this job is familiar to me, or I mean, I can also handle this job.”

Gu Xi glanced at Shaya again, and after taking a step back, Shaya finally felt the cold pressure vanish.

At this moment, Shaya finally breathed a sigh of relief, no longer underestimating Gu Xi.

Shaya already realized Gu Xi is also a professional, although she didn’t know his profession; it was clear he wasn’t a reckless type.

Without knowing Gu Xi’s profession, she didn’t plan to provoke him.

”Why are you interested in the Land Purchase Order?”

Gu Xi didn’t say whether he agreed to Shaya’s participation but instead asked another question.

He felt the attitude of Shaya seemed off.

”Actually, it’s nothing much. Just the other day, my mentor took on a task, exchanged a Land Purchase Order for a large apartment building, and I was curious why those people would choose my mentor for this deal, but my mentor wouldn’t tell.

I didn’t ask more; it’s just you also have such a Land Purchase Order, so my response is more keen.”

Gu Xi stared at Shaya, not indicating whether he believed her words.

Gu Xi’s gaze made Shaya somewhat uncomfortable, wanting to say something, but Gu Xi picked up a piece of bread beside him, dipped it slowly in soup, and began eating.

”Hey, what is this attitude?”

”His attitude is not believing you.” At this time, the servant’s voice rang from behind Shaya.

Hearing this, Shaya quickly lowered her head, ”Mentor, why are you here.”

”If I didn’t come, you were about to reveal other clients’ matters.” The servant patted Shaya’s head, ”If this keeps on, your trial will never be passed.”

”Okay, I was just curious.”

Shaya murmured as she lowered her head.

The servant didn’t know what to say, and after shooing Shaya out, he looked at Gu Xi.

”I heard you have a Land Purchase Order for Camden? What do you want to exchange for it?”

”Land in Camden District. If that’s not possible, exchanging for an already built house is fine, but I need a standalone one.”

Gu Xi simply plans to establish an Anchor Point to belong to him in this game world for coming back more frequently, so a standalone house is a necessity.

Otherwise, next time when he enters here, who knows where he might appear.

Listening to Gu Xi’s request, the servant had some ideas.

”Your requests are challenging to fulfill.

I’ll be straightforward with you; the situation in Camden District is somewhat unusual now. A big client said Camden District is going to undergo three rounds of demolition and is using Land Purchase Orders or other means to exchange for properties there.

Now the housing prices there have increased considerably.

Even land on the street has been sold out; you won’t get a standalone house now.”

”Mentor, it’s not that it’s unexchangeable, only the location isn’t good.” Shaya peered out from the door, speaking quietly.

”It’s none of your business, shut up!”

The servant pushed Shaya outside with a backhand.

After closing the door, the servant looked at Gu Xi again, ”Sorry, she’s just brainless.”

”No problem, I just want to ask if you have any way to get a three-hundred-square-meter empty lot in Camden. I’m not asking for a three-hundred-square-meter room, but an empty lot.”

Gu Xi proposed his requirement.

The servant immediately shook his head directly, ”That’s impossible. Now, it’s quite challenging to acquire land in Camden, even more so a large tract of three hundred square meters.”

Gu Xi instantly replied, ”Then forget it, I’ll ask someone else.”

Saying that Gu Xi began tidying the clothes on the bedpost, intending to leave just like that.

”Wait, is your Land Purchase Order willing to be sold?” The servant hurriedly blocked Gu Xi.

”Not willing.” Gu Xi shook his head firmly, ”I still plan to have a place to stay in Camden.”

The servant was about to speak when Shaya once again sneakily pushed the door open, peeking inside.

”I have a solution, I have a solution.”

”Shaya, it’s none of your business, get out.”

The servant was also a bit annoyed.

”Mentor, I really have a solution. Remember that place bordering between Camden and Dammingwei District, right? We can exchange for houses in Damming Wei, not Camden.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi tilted his head to glance at the servant.

The servant awkwardly looked at Gu Xi, ”That Dammingwei District is actually right next to Camden District; the environment is pretty much the same, and the housing prices are similar. Besides, I know a few plots are right at the edge of Camden’s streets, and originally, if slightly extended, it would be Camden District.

But just short of this bit, the area between Upper City District and Central District is zoned over there.

Many people are unwilling to want houses in Dammingwei District.”

Saying this, the servant couldn’t help looking at Gu Xi.

Gu Xi understood his meaning, ”Exchangeable, but I want a larger plot, at least five hundred square meters.”
