His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2194: Chapter 638: A Year Later (15) You Can Still Come to Me

”It’s raining outside!”

His voice was somewhat cold, like the breeze that brushed against her face as he opened and closed the door, and his voice pierced her heart.

Qin Mu watched him walk closer and closer, her heartbeat getting faster and faster...

”Since we’re still here today, let’s fulfill our spousal duties once more.”

Suddenly, Mu Yichen was in front of her, blocking all her view, and as he said those words, Qin Mu was already scooped up by him.

She couldn’t think at all, let alone refuse or resist.

Until he placed her on the bed, Qin Mu was staring at him aimlessly, as if she had long forgotten who she was and the unhappiness between them.

He seemed to crash recklessly into the deepest parts of her heart without her knowing, leaving her no time to react, making her entirely accept the fate of his arrival.

”Take good care of yourself after you return. If there are things you can’t handle, you can still come to me!”

Mu Yichen didn’t forget to care for her even as he helped her take off her clothes.

Qin Mu just blankly stared at him, unintentionally responding with a ”Mm!”

Later, she was stripped bare, and only when their bodies and souls united did Qin Mu suddenly come to her senses, but by then, it was impossible to refuse.

Until after three in the morning, she was so exhausted that she couldn’t move, crying for mercy beneath him, only then did Mu Yichen finally end the entanglement.

Early the next day, people from the Mu Family came to take the children away, but Qin Mu hadn’t woken up yet.

However, when she woke up, there was no one at home. Qin Mu thought of Mu Yichen mentioning last night that he would see her off today. Seeing it was already nine o’clock, she guessed she wouldn’t be able to wait for him to return to take her.

But she wasn’t sad; they were adults after all. She lowered her head, returned to her room, found clothes to put on, and then prepared to go out to hail a cab.

However, as she went downstairs, she saw Mu Yichen’s car coming over.

Qin Mu slightly lowered her head. The car window rolled down, and he was in the driver’s seat, turning to look at her: ”Get in the car!”

Qin Mu got into the car, but still felt puzzled.

Ever since he returned last night, she felt as though she had lost the ability to think.

She didn’t know what he was doing, nor what she was doing.

When she tried to think a bit more, they were already on the way to the airport, and soon, Mu Yichen handed her a box of snacks: ”Eat this on the way!”

Qin Mu looked down at the box of snacks, the packaging was too exquisite, so pink.

She couldn’t help but chuckle lightly, softly saying: ”Thank you!”

”Huanhuan and Chengcheng have already gone to school. I had some business to attend to this morning, so I was a bit late coming back.”

Mu Yichen explained, a very casual explanation.

Qin Mu automatically nodded, but didn’t say anything.

They both entered the departure hall, standing face to face, Qin Mu still carried the same bag she came with, her hands holding the box of snacks he gave her.

Mu Yichen stood in front of her with hands in his pockets: ”Do you remember what I said last night?”

”Huh?”

Qin Mu looked up at him, still not quite back to her senses, as if bewitched.

”What are you thinking? Did you not hear what I said last night?”

He suddenly stepped forward.

Qin Mu was so scared she stumbled back, fortunately, he reached out to grab her elbow, otherwise she would have fallen.

Qin Mu looked at him in a panic, thinking please don’t talk about last night, remembering only what he did to her last night, she felt like she was about to die.

Embarrassed to death.

He actually brought it up again.

Qin Mu instinctively lowered her head, quickly stood upright, and gently pushed his hand off her elbow: ”I know!”

”Know what?”

Mu Yichen asked again.

Suddenly feeling flustered, Qin Mu couldn’t remember for a moment.

Until the sound unique to the airport announcer echoed, reminding her it was time to board the plane, Qin Mu frantically said to him: ”I know everything, don’t worry, I’ll take care of myself, we’ll be in touch!”

After she finished, she fled hurriedly.

However, Mu Yichen stood there without moving.

Be in touch?

Like old friends keeping in touch?

Or old lovers?

Her absent-mindedness made his brows raise slightly; he knew what she feared, but he wanted her to possess that concern.

At the ticket inspection area, Qin Mu looked back again, seeing him still standing there staring in her direction, Qin Mu instinctively waved to him, but...

Why didn’t he move?

Why did his eyes seem to hold pain?
