His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2192: Chapter 637: Heart-to-Heart in the Dark (2)

Qin Mu’s eyes held confusion again, so what did he really mean?

”Stay in Rongcheng for a year. During this year, when I need you, you appear before me. As for whatever women I may be with outside, you don’t interfere. If you can endure this, then a year later we will divorce, just like you said, we each find our happiness?”

”Childish!”

Mu Yichen spoke coldly, but only received a single word from Qin Mu: childish.

”Yes! I am very childish!”

Mu Yichen laughed, admitting it!

She always thought he was incredibly childish, and he was indeed willing to admit it.

Qin Mu was furious, eyes blazing, feeling helpless against him.

Qin Mu turned around, grabbed a cushion from the back of the sofa, and threw it at him forcefully. Mu Yichen just tilted his head slightly to dodge it, making Qin Mu even angrier. She stood up directly, her bare feet stepping on the carpet, her gaze intense and helplessly staring at him.

Mu Yichen raised his eyes slightly and saw her clenched fists, as if she hated him to the extreme.

Used to saying harsh words, now she really didn’t want to continue; maybe she didn’t have the strength.

But his gaze slowly lifted, mesmerizing, like an enraged king, as if intending to incinerate her with his eyes.

Qin Mu bent down and picked up a blanket, throwing it at him.

Unfortunately, after not having eaten much all day, she lacked the strength, and Mu Yichen easily pulled the blanket, dragging her onto his lap.

Qin Mu immediately tried to get up, but he grabbed her wrist again.

Kneeling on his knees, she felt ashamed and furious under his unabashed gaze, unable to act out.

Until tears almost fell from her eyes, he finally let her go.

Qin Mu gritted her teeth, then raised her hands to hit his shoulders forcefully.

”Let me go, you bastard! Let me go!”

Qin Mu shouted desperately, hitting him and shouting as if tearing her heart out.

She couldn’t endure another situation like that with him. She no longer wanted mutual tolerances, mutual doubts, and mutual reluctance to release.

She was exhausted, wanting only to live quietly on her own.

Why wouldn’t he let her go?

She suddenly burst into tears, sobbing so hard her chest trembled, tears streaming down her face like rivers, crying until she couldn’t see him, couldn’t hit him, and almost suffocating.

”Mu Yichen, how could you finally let me go? Please let yourself go too, okay?”

She looked up at him in despair, eyes pleading.

She was truly exhausted! Tired!

”Okay!”

He suddenly raised his hand, gently wiping away the tears on her face, clearing her tear-blurred eyes.

His thumb gently rubbed her tear-soaked corner of the mouth, his dark eyes showing his last tenderness for her.

Qin Mu also thought she heard wrong, but only realized after a while, then bowed her head and continued to cry, shaking.

They should have ended a long time ago!

Qin Mu rested her forehead on his shoulder, and he said once her fever broke and her cold was better, she would leave.

During this recovery period, she could choose to return to the city or stay on the island.

But he said he would no longer stop her from seeing her children, so Qin Mu returned to Rongcheng, originally intending to stay in her shop, but Mu Yichen drove her back to the apartment.

The two little ones didn’t know what was happening, only finding themselves at the apartment after school.

Helian Hao visited her: ”He agreed to let you go, and you’re able to smile!”

Qin Mu smiled as she hugged her: ”Xiaohao! Letting go is also a kind of fulfillment!”

Separated, they wouldn’t necessarily be unhappy.

They both understood that letting Qin Mu go meant truly releasing that relationship, no longer loving that person.

Heartbroken?

Qin Mu asked herself, yes, there was heartbreak.

But happy?

Qin Mu also asked herself, yes, she was happy.

Separating from a loved one, seeing a loved one with others, it’s impossible not to feel loss, but thinking they wouldn’t be troubled by the relationship anymore was also joyful.

That night, Helian Hao went home and shed some tears with Jing Feng, but even the best connection between sisters wasn’t the same as her own feelings, her say didn’t matter.

Qin Mu’s fever subsided quickly, though her appetite wasn’t great.

That night Mu Yichen cooked a meal. Huanhuan, Chengcheng, and Qin Mu gathered at the table, waiting for Mu Yichen’s dinner to be served, all three a little excited.
