His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2152: Chapter 623: The Mu Couple’s Divorce (Part 2)

”I am actually not as good as you think. It’s just because we haven’t spent much time together, so you assume I’m good. If you broaden your horizons, I’m sure you’ll find someone among your many suitors who is suitable for you when you return.”

Mu Yichen smiled and spoke to her softly.

Yang Qin couldn’t help but chuckle bitterly and mustered the courage to look up at him: ”In my eyes, you are the best, boss. It’s just that I’m not worthy!”

She spoke very quietly, but Mu Yichen could hear her.

”It’s not a matter of being worthy or not. It’s because someone got here first. I liked her since she was young! And this liking will last a lifetime!”

Mu Yichen said to her.

Yang Qin looked at him again, feeling even more sorrow in her heart, tears on the verge of falling.

The person you love loves someone else!

Isn’t this the most tragic thing in the world?

Yang Qin didn’t speak again, just smiled.

”Go inside!”

Mu Yichen said.

Yang Qin nodded: ”Okay! Goodbye!”

But as she turned around, she suddenly thought that perhaps in the future, they might not see each other again. The words ’goodbye’ seemed like a joke. She turned her head and, after Mu Yichen had turned his back, suddenly ran up to him and hugged him tightly from behind.

Just once.

The sky, for some unknown reason, suddenly began to rain. Yang Qin quickly let go of him, as if she had exhausted the last bit of her courage, fled like a frightened child. Mu Yichen, however, stood there for a while without moving, subconsciously looking at the car with the lights on.

Qin Mu was inside the car, not knowing what they had said, but she had seen everything.

Originally, she thought it was just the woman’s wishful thinking, but who knows, perhaps someone also wants to find warmth elsewhere?

The rain fell harder and harder. Qin Mu’s gaze met his, but quickly they missed each other.

Going back and forth, by the time they got home, it was late. Qin Mu thought about it all the way, enduring the feeling of being slowly tortured inside, pretending to be calm.

Feng Fanghua was just waiting for the driver to return, but when she saw the car come back and walked to the door, the driver got out with an umbrella, and when Qin Mu walked with him toward her, she couldn’t help feeling irritable.

”What’s going on?”

Feng Fanghua questioned.

”Nothing much, it’s just that he was drinking with friends, and didn’t go to the apartment!”

Qin Mu said, not daring to lift her eyes as she walked inside.

However, Feng Fanghua saw the mist in her eyes, saw her hands tightly clenched, and when she walked away, looked at the driver again. The driver stood by the door, frowning and hesitating: ”Madam, it’s a bit complicated, Young Master he...”

”What about him?”

Before the driver could finish, Mu Yichen’s car also returned, and he closed his mouth. Mu Yichen didn’t use an umbrella, just lowered his head as he got out of the car and quickly walked past them: ”Don’t make things difficult for Uncle Li, everyone go rest early!”

Mu Yichen felt a bit annoyed. If it weren’t for Feng Fanghua forcing Qin Mu to find him, nothing would have happened.

He’s now shifting a bit of the blame, though he knows he shouldn’t have gotten out of the car, shouldn’t have talked too much with Yang Qin just to make Qin Mu angry.

Mu Yichen didn’t even stop, striding inside, knowing that if he didn’t clear things up tonight, it wouldn’t just be a cold war between them.

What he feared the most wasn’t her throwing a fit—he could join her in that—but if her heart died...

Qin Mu went inside and was about to lock the door, but Mu Yichen stuck his leg in first. Qin Mu glared at him angrily, her face already flooded with tears.

She angrily tried to close the door but couldn’t, worried she might actually break his leg, so she let go, fuming, and turned to walk inside.

Mu Yichen pushed the door open and went in, not bothering to close it, watching the woman with her back hunched facing away. He knew she was shaking, knew she was struggling, but he also knew she couldn’t hold on for long.

”I don’t want to say this is a misunderstanding. It really was my lack of consideration that gave her the opportunity, but it was an accident. You know my feelings for you, and you should understand my thoughts towards her too, Qin Mu,...”

Mu Yichen’s breath was somewhat unsteady—something that rarely happened.

”Don’t come any closer!”

Qin Mu suddenly turned, before he could catch up with her, lifted her arms up, and stopped him from getting closer.

She involuntarily laughed, tears in her eyes as she laughed.

”I understand, I understand everything, it was all just an accident!”

She laughed, tears streaming down her face yet still smiling.
