His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2165: Chapter 627: A Year Later (4) Still Entangled_3

Everyone turned to look at him, and he shrugged helplessly with a smile, like saying, ”It’s useless to look at me; my dad really does things like that.”

”Just came back and you’re here!”

Qin Mu shook her head. Just after Qin Mingzhu and the others left, Qin Mu was about to leave holding Chengcheng’s hand but was stopped.

”Madam, Mr. Yichen said to ask you to send Young Master Chengcheng to the office upstairs.”

”Is he afraid I might abduct my own son?”

Qin Mu had a slight acquaintance with Mu Yichen’s subordinate, but hearing such words, how could she put on a good face?

”Fine, you go upstairs with this uncle to find your dad first; we’ll stay in touch.”

Qin Mu thought about it and let go of Chengcheng’s hand, squatting down to speak to him.

”Are you going back to Paris?”

Chengcheng looked a bit worried and pitifully asked.

Qin Mu shook her head: ”No! We haven’t resolved things between you and your sister yet.”

”Alright! Then I’ll call you whenever I have time; you must keep your phone on so I can find you.”

Chengcheng reminded her.

Qin Mu nodded: ”Okay!”

”Madam, aren’t you personally taking Young Master upstairs?”

Mu Yichen’s subordinate suddenly seemed a bit troubled, unsure whether he should let Qin Mu go just like that, unsure if his boss’s concern was truly for the Young Master, or, actually, for the ’ex-wife’ who finally returned to Rongcheng.

”I won’t go, to avoid making Mr. Yichen unhappy when he sees me.”

Qin Mu handed Chengcheng to him.

Chengcheng was a bit unwilling; he hadn’t seen his biological mother for a year and almost didn’t recognize her. And yet, when his biological parents finally met, they argued and separated.

But, arguing is arguing; anyway, they frequently argued fiercely, yet moments later they were inseparably together...

Only this time, why have they been apart for a year and still not together? Dad used to love holding mom, kissing her all the time, but now...

Mu Yichen’s subordinate still took Chengcheng upstairs because Qin Mu had an aura that kept people at a distance, making him dare not say much.

When Qin Mu left the hotel, Mu Yichen was already in the office seeing his beloved son.

”Madam said she’s afraid you’ll be annoyed seeing her, so she only asked me to bring Young Master Chengcheng up.”

Mu Yichen’s subordinate was a bit embarrassed but still conveyed Qin Mu’s words to him.

”You can leave.”

Mu Yichen instructed faintly, just looking at his son, who walked over to the sofa in a slump, sighing.

”Clearly, my mom can’t forgive you; you must have done something that broke her heart.”

Chengcheng mumbled, head lowered, fiddling with the corner of his clothing, looking heavy-hearted.

”It’d be great if you had a way to stop her from being heartbroken!”

Mu Yichen spoke to him in a detached manner.

But Chengcheng was quite interested, glancing at Mu Yichen, questioning his dear father’s meaning with his eyes.

”I’m asking you, do you want to go with your mom, or do you want her to stay?”

”What about you? Do you want me to go with my mom, or do you want my mom to come home?”

Mu Yichen asked Chengcheng seriously, but Chengcheng didn’t answer, instead, he asks back, making Mu Yichen frown unhappily: ”Are you going against me?”

”Hmph! You want to keep mom but have no skill, still need my sister and me.”

Chengcheng crossed his arms, proudly lifting his chin.

Mu Yichen was overwhelmed, his son was now increasingly talkative, saying things he didn’t want to hear.

”Why should I keep her? If you want to leave with her, let her compete with me fairly for it; if you want her to stay,—that’s your business too!”

Mu Yichen’s dark eyes glared at his proud son sitting on the sofa, his words detached yet making Chengcheng a bit worried.

Chengcheng thought, what does dad mean?

Does he not want mom anymore?

Could he really be avoiding mom now? Mom has a bit of a temper too, Chengcheng couldn’t quite figure out Mu Yichen’s intentions, making him nervous, his gaze losing its prior certainty.

Seeing him like that, Mu Yichen felt a bit better, but worried Chengcheng might give up, he said: ”Anyway, she’s your mother with your sister; you just remember you are from Rongcheng, and tell your sister, don’t always act like living in Paris for some years makes you forget your roots.”

Mu Yichen’s deep voice, leisurely and unhurried, traveled from behind the desk to the sofa across, reaching into the little guy’s ears.

Roots are too profound. Chengcheng didn’t know how but suddenly looked down at his own ’roots’!

Mu Yichen glanced at Chengcheng, feeling irritated but keeping it to himself.

”Dad, in the evening mom is having dinner with Aunt Xi Meng and Uncle Zhao Huai, are you going? I heard they invited a lot of friends, are you not among them?”

Chengcheng felt his dad was bullying him, bullying him for poor comprehension! So...

Mu Yichen only replied: ”I’ll ask Uncle Li to come and take you home.”

”Home is so boring, why not let me stay with mom? Mom won’t just take me without my consent.”

Chengcheng thought, Dad, do you really have to make me worry so?

Mu Yichen just finished one sentence, Chengcheng already had another two ready, making Mu Yichen truly irritated.

But more troubling to Mu Yichen was the gathering, someone should’ve informed him; had they regarded him as nonexistent?

Qin Mu didn’t want to go to AM in the evening, but they booked a private room, and she had no choice but to go again.

This time coming back, the moment she reached AM’s entrance, she felt like she came to a place she shouldn’t have.

Not because of the many moments she shared with Mu Yichen here, but because the staff knew her as ”Madam” or ”Lady.” Despite the news of their divorce spreading vividly, seemingly no one cared?

Doesn’t Mu Yichen manage it? Isn’t he afraid that his new partner Xiaoyi might be upset hearing this?

Especially since he has someone else now, Qin Mu simply didn’t want to set foot in here again.

Qin Mu just stepped out of the elevator, about to head to the private room, when she looked up and saw a familiar back entering the room, accompanied by a young woman.

”Madam!”

She suddenly stopped, and the staff leading her whispered to her.

Qin Mu paused, regained her composure, nodded, and continued walking.
