His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2173: Chapter 630: One Year Later (7) – Little One Has a Fever (2)

Qin Mu felt grateful in her heart, Mu Zihao was still the same Mu Zihao as before.

”Chengcheng got hurt? Of course, I’ll investigate what happened to Chengcheng. If it was Xiaoyi who hurt him, I’ll make sure Xiaoyi apologizes and never sets foot in our home again. Qin Mu, you should know that I’d never wrong my two precious grandsons in this lifetime.”

Feng Fanghua wouldn’t let it rest after hearing this; she always felt that Qin Mu came too hastily, as if to take her grandchildren away.

”Mom, I’m not trying to take them away from you. I’m just worried...”

”Worried? You should have thought about that the day you left. I would find someone else to look after Yichen, someone who truly can take care of him, who can handle both the living room and the kitchen, someone obedient and understanding, who would never make Yichen so angry that he runs out in the middle of the night—”

At this point, Feng Fanghua suddenly paused, and Qin Mu had nothing to say.

What happened between her and Mu Yichen seemed like a matter between two people, but with a slight tug, it became the whole family’s business.

Leaving the Mu Family was akin to abandoning her son and daughter; whether she liked it or not, she no longer had the right to intervene.

”What exactly did he do wrong that made you abandon the family?”

A year later, Feng Fanghua still couldn’t figure it out.

”I...”

”Alright, what’s all the fuss about? The two little ones are watching!”

The old man knew his son’s words were ineffective and couldn’t stand Feng Fanghua’s sarcasm, so he spoke up.

”Dad! Are you standing up for her again?”

Feng Fanghua was a bit angry, but ultimately dared not say more.

”Who am I standing up for? If I were standing up for her, would she be so thin?”

The old man glanced at Qin Mu, then looked at Feng Fanghua and asked.

When Qin Mu first entered the door, Feng Fanghua was indeed startled; she had lost so much weight compared to this time last year.

”If you mistreat yourself, that’s none of my business, but Chengcheng and Huanhuan—I won’t let you take them away under any circumstances.”

Feng Fanghua’s voice wasn’t as sharp as before, but she was still holding on to this matter.

Qin Mu stood up from the sofa: ”Mom, I don’t intend to take them away. I’ve booked an evening flight...”

Qin Mu wanted to bid farewell, remembering her daughter’s request to say goodbye before leaving, and when she looked up, she saw the two children eagerly watching her from the corridor at the back of the living room.

A thin layer of mist in her eyes wouldn’t go away, she swallowed a breath, then called out to the distance: ”Huanhuan, come here!”

Huanhuan and Chengcheng looked a bit sad but still walked over slowly.

Neither of them wanted to go over because they knew it meant saying goodbye, but they had no choice and had to occasionally follow their parents’ wishes.

”Stay at home and listen to your grandparents, mom has some things to take care of and will come back to see you after a while.”

Qin Mu said softly.

”You’re lying, you said you’d come back after finishing your work last time, but you haven’t come back after a year!”

Huanhuan suddenly burst into tears, his eyes filled with tears, and in a few minutes, his face was covered in tears.

Qin Mu clenched her hands tightly, so tightly that her palms were about to bleed, yet she didn’t want to cry out loud with her children.

This is her fate, and it would be her children’s fate as well.

”You two let her go; she’s no longer part of our family!”

Feng Fanghua was also saddened when she heard Huanhuan crying out those words.

”Grandma, you’re bad! Why are you saying that about our mom? Mom, don’t leave, we don’t want you to leave!”

Chengcheng held onto Qin Mu’s hand, tears almost falling.

”Ah!”

Just as Qin Mu was about to leave heartlessly, the old man suddenly clutched his chest in discomfort and then suddenly closed his eyes.

”Dad...”

Mu Zihao was the first to notice and quickly stood up to rush over.

”Grandpa!”

”Dad...”

”Great-grandpa...”

The whole family immediately rushed over, and just as Qin Mu was about to call for an ambulance, the old man suddenly awoke, weakly saying: ”Are you trying to anger me to death?”

”Dad, are you okay?”

Mu Zihao furrowed his brow and asked worriedly.

”My chest hurts badly; call a doctor to check on me!”

The old man said laboriously, his face still pale.

”Grandpa!”

Qin Mu crouched nervously to the side, and tears fell as she lowered her head.

”Silly child, Grandpa is fine!”

The old man looked at Qin Mu, his eyes full of affection.

Qin Mu could no longer utter a complete sentence, only nodded vigorously.
