His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2190: Chapter 636: One Year Later (13) Are You Coming with Me to Handle the Paperwork? (3)

Qin Mu suddenly saw the suit pants behind Chengcheng, it was undoubtedly Mu Yichen.

”On the island?”

Chengcheng raised his head in confusion and turned to look behind him.

”Your dad knows the place!”

Qin Mu said another sentence.

”I have some business, I’ll take him there later.”

Mu Yichen said, turned, and walked away, never giving her a glance.

Qin Mu did not speak, thinking to herself, don’t deny that you’ve been here, I don’t believe it.

After chatting with Qin Mu on a video call, Chengcheng ran off, and Qin Mu slumped on the sofa, unable to fall asleep. Suddenly, she felt a chill in her stomach, but didn’t feel like making food, so she went to the kitchen to boil some hot water and mixed a pack of cold medicine.

She found the cold medicine quite tasty, and after drinking it, her stomach felt warm.

By the time Mu Yichen and Chengcheng reached the island, the sun was already setting.

However, Chengcheng arrived just in time to watch the sunset on the island.

Mu Yichen brought Qin Mu a down jacket, and then Qin Mu and Chengcheng wore heavy down jackets while watching the sunset on the island. The scenery was so breathtaking, evoking a multitude of thoughts.

Mu Yichen cooked inside the house, calmly listening to their mother-son duo return as if it were any ordinary time.

Mu Yichen’s cooking skills were still impeccable, but Qin Mu hadn’t eaten much all day. By evening, she still wasn’t very hungry, probably because she was dazed from hunger.

Watching Chengcheng eat heartily, she smiled reassuringly and then propped her chin up to look at Mu Yichen.

This time upon returning, she hadn’t really taken a good look at him, but tonight she couldn’t resist.

In the evening, Chengcheng played in the big house by himself, saying they should bring his sister, as it would be more fun with the two of them inside.

Qin Mu thought back to when the siblings played with water guns at home, soaking the floor with water. When they were scolded, they acted as if they didn’t hear, continuing to shout and spray each other.

After Chengcheng fell asleep, Qin Mu came out of the room. Downstairs, Mu Yichen was holding a laptop, seemingly dealing with business. Qin Mu thought about it, then went down to sit beside him on the sofa, quietly dragging over the blanket she’d been hugging earlier, wrapping herself up, and waiting silently for him to finish his work.

Mu Yichen knew she was there, feeling her gaze, but didn’t look up until he finished his work.

When he finally looked up, she was already lying on the sofa, almost asleep.

Mu Yichen thought about how she hadn’t eaten much dinner, even though she’d washed her face, her appearance clearly seemed sickly, so he leaned over and raised his hand to touch her forehead.

Qin Mu reflexively leaned back, Mu Yichen’s eyes immediately turned cold.

”Why are you flinching?”

Mu Yichen questioned her with furrowed brows.

”It’s a reflex!”

Qin Mu’s heart throbbed, blurting out.

Mu Yichen didn’t say another word, just let his hand, which hovered in front of her forehead, press down. Qin Mu didn’t flinch this time, but was a bit stiff.

”You have a fever!”

He blandly reminded her, seeing how she seemed careless, just staring at him blankly without speaking, and began reaching for his phone.

”Xiang Hang brought medicine last night!”

Qin Mu finally remembered to say something to him.

”Where is it?”

Mu Yichen asked.

Qin Mu’s eyes pointed to the drawer under the table.

Mu Yichen then opened the drawer, took out a box of medicine, she had already drunk half of the cold medicine with anti-fever properties, but given her current condition, the fever effect was clearly not prominent.

”Let’s go back to the city!”

Mu Yichen sighed helplessly, looking at the box of cold medicine.

Qin Mu didn’t move, just lay there, softly asking, ”Mu Yichen, when did you tell me to leave?”

”Go back to Paris!”

Mu Yichen’s actions didn’t move, but his eyelashes slightly fluttered, then slowly looked at her: ”So eager to leave?”

”Yes!”

Qin Mu knew he wouldn’t be satisfied with this word, but that’s the truth.

”Aren’t you worried Chen Xiaoyi might abuse your son again?”

Mu Yichen asked again.

”With my parents and you around, she wouldn’t dare!”

Qin Mu replied straightforwardly, later she realized, it was a tactic Chengcheng used to trick her into returning, she probably accidentally hurt herself, afraid Chen Xiaoyi really got together with Mu Yichen, so she conspired with Qin Mingzhu and Helian Hao with that unfounded reason.

”Then stay and be a witness!”

Mu Yichen placed the medicine on the table, slowly leaning against the sofa backrest, with a chilly tone.

”Witness what? Witness your marriage to Chen Xiaoyi?”

”That’s not entirely wrong, but it seems our matters aren’t over yet.”

Mu Yichen suddenly looked at her, those eyes simply penetrating the soul, causing shivers.

”Are you planning to go through procedures with me?”

”From now on, no longer seeing Chengcheng and Huanhuan!”

Qin Mu got up in excitement, only for his cold words to immediately cut down her previously excited mood.

Qin Mu slumped on the sofa armrest again, sighing powerlessly.

”I may not be good with the law, but the way you’re treating me, does it count as confinement? I remember, confinement seems to violate the law?”

Qin Mu mumbled these words from her mouth.

She thought for a long time, surely they couldn’t continue like this forever.

”Did I confine you? Your legs are on your own body, you bought the ticket yourself, went to the airport, the flight got delayed, what’s it got to do with me? You can freely move around in Rongcheng, even on the island nobody minds, did I confine you?”

Mu Yichen let out a wicked smile, speaking those words, every single one filled with reason.

”Telling me this means you’re not planning to confide in me, maybe you find tormenting me quite pleasurable!”

Qin Mu started to speak to herself, turning her head, unwilling to look at him again.

Mu Yichen just continued to look at her side profile, looked at her thin figure.

She said she lost weight because of ad shoots, but tonight all are foods she likes, yet she barely touched her chopsticks. When did she start having issues with her stomach?

Mu Yichen’s cigarette box was placed on the shiny table, Qin Mu glanced at it, then suddenly reached out and took his cigarette, casually pulled one out, placed it between her lips, and lit it with his fancy lighter.
