Beneath the Red Dragon

When Karon Gogomola and Ocean Dragon Naxson finished inspecting the affairs by the seaside and descended upon the mountaintop with the noontime Flowing Wind, it was precisely the hour when the midday bell was ringing.

The Ancestral Red Dragon demanded the Dragon Group cultivate the habit of punctuality, setting an example himself, influencing every dragon’s habits and style within the group.

Under the orderly planning of the Imperial burdensome affairs, it seemed that these Giant Dragons were all entangled by mundane matters, consuming much of their time, unable to quietly focus on learning and growing.

However, the toxic flow within the blood of the True Dragon Species precisely required training through the Mortal World to refine away the useless poison, leaving behind the vital essence.

Grinding away the impetuousness and impatience in the bloodlines of the Dragon Group allowed them to better maintain their focus and energy when needed.

”Doss, they should be arriving soon, according to the communications schedule. If they’re late, perhaps I could still fine each of them a few Gold Coins as an example, lest they forget,”

Ocean Dragon Naxson swung his serpentine body, looking at the floating clouds on the horizon, saying with a somewhat serious face.

Though promoted to a part-time Chief Justice of the Golden Empire, Ocean Dragon Naxson, like other dragons, appeared quite relaxed in the presence of the Ancestral Red Dragon, yet was particularly severe in all formal occasions.

To the stipulation proposed by the Emperor of the Imperial, where each scale color Giant Dragon would have a king to manage respective Dragons, Naxson was quite discontent.

Naxson believed this was undoubtedly a huge division of power from the Emperor of the Imperial, even though the kings of each scale color still needed to follow the will of the Emperor of the Imperial.

Thus, this Ocean Dragon would strictly assert his authority as a Law Enforcer in many matters, subtly reminding the Ancestral Red Dragon to establish a monitoring system belonging exclusively to the Dragon Group.

Yet, Karon’s gaze was not limited to this remote land of the empire; the establishment of the Dragon Group monitoring system was necessary, but it was not a pressing matter.

So Karon merely strolled with Ocean Dragon Naxson towards his Royal Palace hall, smiling faintly, ”The current Dragon Group doesn’t really have any poor fellows. A few Gold Coins, even Green Dragon Ali, could easily take out without hesitation.”

For a moment, Ocean Dragon Naxson was left speechless.

Perhaps in the wild, dragons would fight over a few Gold Coins, but in the Gogomola Dragon Group, every Giant Dragon, calculated by time, would have wealth continuously flowing into their Treasure Vault.

Even Ocean Dragon Naxson, a dragon accustomed to settling down by The Sea, had moved to settle in the Dragon Group mountains due to the fortunes accumulated in his Treasure Vault.

The two dragons were momentarily silent, but the Ancestral Golden Dragon Oblash suddenly burst from his proud squatting posture, charging forward like an excited Hound, the red Chains clanging loudly.

”You thief stealing my power, Karon Gogomola, release me, I want a fair duel with you to reclaim my power,”

The demeanor of Ancestral Golden Dragon Oblash was already frenzied, with lightning and fire belonging to the innate bloodline power of a Golden Dragon appearing on the golden scales. Yet, as soon as they emerged on the body of the Ancestral Golden Dragon, they were suppressed by the innate power of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

The thick Chains resounded with a clanging noise, the dazzling red light pressing the lightning and fire of the Ancestral Golden Dragon back into the Scale Armor, rendering them voiceless.

Before the Ancestral Red Dragon could speak, the spitting sound already arose, as the Hydra, Nine-headed Hydra, frantically shook its nine heads, spitting saliva like raindrops, drenching the head of the Ancestral Golden Dragon Oblash.

The foul saliva stained the Ancestral Golden Dragon’s Golden Scales with a layer of filthy spit.

”Shut up, you foolish creature, daring to speak to the great True Dragon Gogomola in such a manner, you should really be whipped by your master,”

The Nine-headed Hydra roared, though the eyes on its nine heads couldn’t help but glance towards the face of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

Karon and Ocean Dragon Naxson stopped their steps, the Ancestral Red Dragon laughed.

He stretched out his Dragon Claw, the red Chains coiled around the golden head of the Nine-headed Hydra swaying, inch by inch withdrawing from beneath its jaw, then twisting like flying tentacles into the body of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

”It seems your wild nature has now been tamed, your wisdom has reoccupied your brain, and you have won your freedom, Hydra. Stay here and wait for your master to take you back.”

Hydra nodded delightedly, almost being carried away by the wildly shaking tail; its serpentine body coiled around the intricately carved stone pillars of the Royal Court, loudly assuring the Ancestral Red Dragon, ”I will surely hold my last post well, Rest assured, Karon.”

Karon turned his head, smiling, looking at the raging Oblash, who no longer possessed extraordinary power, leaving only the strength of physical body behind.

In the light chuckle was an unmistakable tone of disappointment, he said, ”You are merely an eaglet with power that doesn’t belong to you, Oblash. Even without the identity of a dragon, I would still become a strong person, a Great Mage,”

”But what about you? Without your innate bloodline, what do you have left?”

”Can a dragon that cannot master its own bloodline still be considered a True Dragon?”

The massive, majestically gorgeous head of the Ancestral Red Dragon leaned towards Ancestral Golden Dragon Oblash, gazing at Oblash’s golden vertical pupils, filled with cold disappointment, deeply wounding the proud soul of Ancestral Golden Dragon Oblash.
