Beneath the Red Dragon

Just like the changes in the lineage of the Eternal Punishment Dragon today, it is no longer the same as it once was.

”Hahaha, look, that giant dragon avoids us like a stray dog from afar,”

The Cloud Giants, whose pride is unmatched by other giant species, stood amidst the mountain palace, sneering at the somewhat embarrassed-looking adult giant dragon.

These giants appeared like the nobility among giants, dressed in the finest clothes and adorned with handcrafted jewelry. In the hierarchy of the Cloud Giants, appearance symbolizes status—the more lavish the attire and the more beautiful the jewelry, the higher the wearer’s status.

This is also why some Cloud Giants are willing to kneel and serve the Golden Dragon Species, whose beauty and wealth are equally emphasized.

Their arrogance stems from a constant cultivation post-birth; through the brainwashing propaganda of priests, they equally disdain all giant species, with the Storm Giants being targets of their hunt.

Even the Multi-armed Giant Mogyes, with legendary power, is seen as a low-grade, ugly, inferior giant by the haughty eyes of these Cloud Giants.

But Mogyes’ tentacles had not reached here, and his power had not been displayed. Naturally, these Cloud Giants looked down upon Mogyes’ servants with disdain.

The Eternal Punishment Dragon was long accustomed to these scenes. It traversed high mountains and flowing waters, past groups of peaks and lakes, before finally reaching the central area of the mountains where the Supreme Celestial Titan once resided.

This area was the place with the most giant species; various low-tier giants and small giant tribes, conquered by the followers of Mogyes, were gathered here.

Not only were there True Giants like Hill Giants and Stone Giants, but also variants like Wood Giants, Wasteland Giants, and Sand Giants.

Even more prevalent were sub-species of giants and races oppressed by giants, such as Ogres, Cave Giants, and Earth Goblins, who formed the lowest tier, being arbitrarily controlled and enslaved by numerous giants.

In these places where giants gathered, Winged Flying Dragons, Snake Dragons, and Peng Bird Griffins all became food roasted over fires by the giants.

The flying prey seemed always favored by the giants, perhaps related to their massive size making them unfit to be borne by these creatures; thus, their anger transformed into appetite.

Even the adult Eternal Punishment Dragon felt the covetous gaze of those giant species.

But the Eternal Punishment Dragon Liam silently flew toward the massive stone palace at the mountain’s center.

The rough palace appeared to span the entire mountainous highland, and its enormous size made even the falling body of Liam resemble merely a column of rock.

This was the grand palace built by the surrounding disparate giants and small giant tribes, who were conquered and enslaved by Mogyes.

The palace had no guards, as Multi-armed Giant Mogyes never allowed any creature near him during his rest.

But as the Eternal Punishment Dragon approached, even upon hearing painful howls from within the palace, he still stepped inside without hesitation.

Because his soul belonged to the Multi-armed Giant, everything he saw could be seen by Mogyes, leaving him unable to resist Mogyes’ orders.

The Eternal Punishment Dragon stepped into the palace, and the scene inside was laid bare.

Two adult giant dragons with purple scales, like two small bitches, were pressed down single-handedly and wantonly tormented by Mogyes, not daring to resist.

This was the pleasure of the Multi-armed Giant, finding rare enjoyment in torturing and humiliating dragons.

Only after a long time did Mogyes stop his actions.

The giant stood up, like a protruding mountain, even in the enormous palace, his 35-meter height appeared so tall. Just like the aura of this giant, it dominated all space within his sight.

”Liam, you failed to complete my task and obtain the legacy crown from the Storm Giant Race for me; I’m very displeased,” the Multi-armed Giant towering like a mountain bent down, bringing intense oppression that made the adult giant dragon’s pupils widen involuntarily.

”Puh, puh, puh.”

Mogyes extended his fingers, easily piercing through Liam’s membrane wings, tougher than the sails of a sea ship, puncturing the already tattered membrane with holes.

”It’s a pity that fool Asis didn’t return; otherwise, I could have twisted off his head,” Mogyes showed a grim expression, suddenly pinching Liam’s wings, crushing the bones and wings of this adult dragon inch by inch.

The Eternal Punishment Dragon merely lowered his head, clenched his fangs, without making any sound.

Only after the dragon’s two wings turned into drooping, broken flesh did he stop.

”Get out, get out, your unresponsive look truly disgusts me,”

Mogyes’ enormous pupils drew near, whispering, ”If not for your abilities being useful to me, I would, just like how I killed your parents, kill you and then make you my dinner.”

”Remember, Liam, next time you fail, even if I’m slightly in pain, I’ll twist off your head!”

”...Yes!”

The Eternal Punishment Dragon remained silent, then squeezed out a word from between his fangs, bowed his body, and slowly retreated from the palace.

Many giants laughed at the sight of the Eternal Punishment Dragon, but Liam no longer minded.

Temporarily unable to fly, he could only use his powerful body and claws to climb over two mountain peaks and reach his lair.

This was a vast, deep valley, just at the foot of the mountains where the Supreme Celestial Titan once slept, and it was also the traditional gathering place of this lineage of Eternal Punishment Dragons.

But now the valley bore no trace of the Dragon Group, only the bones of giant dragons lay across, with some dying of old age, others slain in battle, and some devoured—everything was visible on the intact yet shattered dragon bones.

Among them, the largest skeleton was a winding fifty meters long in the valley, its white bones having long lost their past power and luster, yet still shrouded in the unique aura of the Eternal Punishment Dragon.

Liam dragged his heavy body toward the chest area of this skeleton, placing his head on the breastbone.

And in his gaze, there was a rare serenity, as he looked at two massive dragon eggs.

These were not his offspring but his blood kin, with their growth time in the eggs sealed by the elders of the Eternal Punishment Dragon group using the Dragon Sleep Skill and Magic Permanence.

Only when Liam perished, would his kin break out from the eggshell, inheriting the responsibilities passed down from ancient times.

Night had deepened, black clouds enveloped the valley.

According to legend, dragons don’t cry and rarely have emotions.

Yet the dragon roar in the evening breeze was full of sobs.
