Beneath the Red Dragon

”You tin-covered bugs, I’m going to smash you,”

The Mountain Giant, towering and imposing, except for the ancestral Red Dragon, looked larger than any young dragon in the Dragon Group when standing. It roared and charged, leading many other giants as they directly crashed into the Imperial Guards.

”I’m going to crush you into a meat patty,”

”Crush them underfoot!”

One by one, the giants charged in fury, seemingly about to collide with the formation of the Imperial Guard Warriors, their hefty weapons already poised to strike.

But in an instant, the eyes on the blood-colored dragon-faced helmets of the Imperial Guard Warriors, crafted with Magic Energy Gems and crystals, suddenly lit up, emitting fiery gazes that almost became tangible.

”Mind Storm!”

A powerful surge of Heart Energy emanated from these warriors who had nurtured their own Seeds of Heart Energy, channeling into the Magic Eye of their Achilles Heavy Armor.

Under the amplification and blessing of the Magic Eye, the vigorous Heart Energy that the Imperial Guard Warriors had cultivated through their unwavering will transformed into intangible and immaterial spiritual blades, shooting directly into the eyes of these giants.

Even the Mountain Giant, whose Spiritual Power was sufficiently formidable, was momentarily stunned, its spirit disturbed by the sudden collective Heart Energy attack, leaving it dazed, with its charging steps halting in confusion.

But the two Imperial Guard Decurion Warriors at the forefront had already separated to the left and right of the Mountain Giant. Under their willpower, the knee armor of their sturdy Achilles Heavy Armor transformed from offensive, sharp, and short thorn structures to another form of magic alloy.

The sharp short spikes of magic metal melded into the surface of the knee armor, turning into smooth, streamlined defensive armor.

Meanwhile, the two Decurions on the left and right abruptly sank down, kneeling onto the ground and cracking the earth.

At the same time, they lowered their backs, and in the continuous sound of movement, their Achilles Heavy Armor completed this set of actions perfectly synchronized with the soul of its bound owner.

Then, driven by the momentum of their charge and the power of their Achilles Heavy Armor, their heavy bodies slid forward.

The shoulders of the Imperial Guard Decurion slightly arched, and with a buzzing energy and the whistle of a blade, the horse-slaying heavy blade in their hands directly sliced toward the Mountain Giant’s legs, as thick and sturdy as the pillars holding up a palace.

Following closely after the two charging Decurions, two Imperial Guard Warriors leaped up from the ground and then stepped firmly on the shoulders of the Decurions ahead.

With this perfect cooperation in a fleeting moment, the two Imperial Guard Warriors leaped directly onto the broad shoulders of the Mountain Giant.

Just as the two Imperial Guard Warriors standing on the shoulders of the Mountain Giant were about to sever the giant’s head, the Mountain Giant had already awakened from the daze of the psychic attack.

”Get off me, roll off my body, you tin-plated bugs,” the Mountain Giant, enraged and shocked, shook its massive body, causing tremors like a mountain.

Phoo, phoo

Instable footed, the Imperial Guard Warriors thrust their long-handled heavy blades into the wide shoulder of the Mountain Giant. The high-density, flame-plasma-like blades cut through the thick skin of the Mountain Giant, slicing through the beast hide, and breaking the stone skin formed by the Mountain Giant’s stone mountain power, burying deeply into its flesh.

”Roar, pain,”

The Mountain Giant roared in fury, in its panic dropping its weapon, and its arm, massive like ancient trees in the forest, bent, slapping towards its shoulders, trying to knock off the two Imperial Guard Warriors.

The sound of the blade’s song resonated from beneath the Mountain Giant’s feet and shoulders. Supported by the magical armor of the Achilles heavy armor, the horse-slaying heavy blade, weighing hundreds of pounds, burst into a speed that rivaled sound in the Decurion’s hands.

On the Prime Material Plane, such terrifying speed brought with it absolutely formidable attack power. The horse-slaying heavy blade, emitting a resonant blade hum, in the instant the giant made its move, sliced half through the two thick legs.

Bang,

The Mountain Giant fell like a toppled short mountain, with its thick leg bones partially severed by the weight-bearing heavy blade of the Imperial Guard Decurion, which could cut through all steel in the mortal world. The agony pierced to the bone, making it impossible to support its massive body anymore as it tumbled forward.

The Decurion, passing sideways, and the Imperial Guard Warriors who leaped off the Mountain Giant, no longer considered this seemingly formidable Mountain Giant, and charged forward.

They, the Empire’s mightiest Legion Warriors, unless possessing absolutely overwhelming force, could only be matched by a legion equally strong.

Matched with their steadfast will was their absolute discipline. They knew what to do on the battlefield and how to do it.

While the assembled stragglers among the giants looked like nothing but fat lambs awaiting slaughter in these warriors’ eyes.

The Mountain Giant lay fallen in the mud, its head hastily lifted from the ground, dirt and grit on its face, only to see a pair of feet before it and the blood-colored cloak flapping fiercely on the battlefield.

”May the Emperor’s blade light illuminate your feeble and disgraceful demise, and may the soul that should enjoy peace forever fall into the abyss.”

Brief words issued from beneath the face armor as the cold gleam vanished from the Mountain Giant’s eyes, its mouth agape but unable to produce any sound.

The Mountain Giant’s rolling head saw pairs of warriors’ feet passing beside it without pause as darkness began to descend over its eyes.
