Beneath the Red Dragon

”Arrogant!”

The Knight said angrily, feeling completely disregarded by the Ancestral Red Dragon before him, which ignited the fury of the battle-hardened Blue Dragon Knight.

”The dragons slain by my sword are beyond count. How dare you, a dragon who doesn’t even dare to set foot on the material plane, ignore my existence,”

The Knight shouted, ”My sword is drenched in dragon blood, and today, it will drink its fill of your blood, Ancestral Dragon Blood, worthy of my Divine Sword.”

”The trial given to you by the Dragon God leaves you with only one path—to defeat!”

But the Ancestral Red Dragon merely sneered, turning its head to gaze indifferently at the war-driven Blue Dragon Knight, causing an involuntary shiver in the heart of the Blue Dragon Knight.

That gaze ignored his fury entirely, as if it was a cat-and-mouse play before a predator striding around the prey.

Like beasts that enjoy toying with their prey, wolves on the plains, cats in the forest, tigers in the mountains.

The Blue Dragon Knight had heard his Monarch, the supreme Dragon God Tiamat, speak of this Ancestral Dragon who focused on operating in the Icaria World and refused the Dragon God’s proposal.

Even though his Dragon God once praised the Red Dragon’s talent, the Blue Dragon Knight, who had hunted countless dragons with companions, never regarded the Ancestral Red Dragon seriously.

He had grown over countless years, facing thousands of battles in various Dragon Nests, and the Great Serpent Sword in his hand had bathed in dragon blood hundreds and thousands of times, now having a special mind-shocking effect on dragon race existences. Even Ancient Dragons would be troubled by it.

Ordinary young dragons wouldn’t even dare to speak loudly in front of his longsword, and even adult dragons would only murmur under their breath when facing his oppression.

Although the Great Serpent Sword did not possess the significantly enhanced effects of the specialized Dragon Slaying Sword against dragons, it seemed the Ancestral Red Dragon before him was almost unaffected.

Furthermore, the Ancestral Red Dragon was not as he thought, just an ordinary dragon dwelling on the material plane in pursuit of a peaceful life. It was proficient in close combat, with strength and response exceeding his expectations.

This raised the Blue Dragon Knight’s alertness to the highest level, starting to view the Ancestral Red Dragon as an adversary on par with himself.

However, the Blue Dragon Knight didn’t know that if detection skills and perception abilities targeted at life level were used, the comprehensive strength of the Ancestral Red Dragon would be revealed to be similar to his own, but the shadow hiding behind the Red Dragon was far more terrifying than he could see.

”Laughable fool,” the Ancestral Red Dragon laughed, ”you can’t even distinguish who the Dragon God before you is, and yet you dare to bark like a wild dog in front of me,”

He turned his head to look up at the sky, calmly saying, ”If you remain silent, I’ll take it as your assent.”

Karon stood stationary, opened his wings beside him, and said to the Blue Dragon Knight indifferently, ”Come on, your chances are running out, a quarter of an hour is already too long for me.”

The Blue Dragon Knight’s expression twisted, never had he felt his fury burn so intensely as today, he who had lived countless years in the world had never seen a dragon as fond of putting on airs as the Ancestral Red Dragon, even within the dragon race.

The Knight’s sharp teeth almost bared out of his mouth, ”Giant Dragon’s Power,”

His Brass Ring unexpectedly released a second enchanted skill at this moment, a spell favored by fighting mages who love close combat, augmenting oneself with the power of a giant dragon.

And the Knight’s second head was chanting a spell to enhance himself; not only was he an outstanding warrior, but also a formidable caster.

Simultaneously, the Great Serpent Sword in the Knight’s hand hissed, shattering the ground beneath his feet as he disappeared, enveloped in a fierce current akin to lightning through clouds, wielding his sword in a full-strength strike.

Karon, at the moment his figure disappeared, pressed his limbs forcefully, fracturing the ground within dozens of meters, creating crevices slightly hindering the Blue Dragon Knight’s movement, allowing Karon’s keen eyes and perception to capture the Blue Dragon Knight’s silhouette.

In an instant, the electric light flickered, the powerful claws charged forth, and from the lightning appeared the Blue Dragon Knight, stabbing directly with swift as thunder, his Great Serpent Sword intercepted by Karon’s dragon claw.

The great sword and dragon claw collided, both sides exerting their formidable strength, enhancing their weapons and dragon claws at the moment in a brief instant, crossing and clashing dozens of times, emitting a continuous metallic clash.

Although the Blue Dragon Knight’s strength was formidable, the Ancestral Red Dragon stood upon the earth as a giant dragon true form, with the earth’s support, able to borrow and disperse power freely without fearing the formidable strength of the Blue Dragon Knight.

In the Blue Dragon Knight’s hand, the Great Serpent Sword was elusive. In the moment of collision, a fierce azure thunder pierced through the Red Dragon’s heart energy protection, animating the great sword, transforming it into a venomous serpent seeking to pierce the scales on the back of the Red Dragon’s claws and inject venom.

And the Blue Dragon Knight’s two heads simultaneously faced the Ancestral Red Dragon, spitting out lightning and thunderbolts, striking directly.

In humanoid form, this Blue Dragon Knight’s tactics were truly diverse, more troublesome than an ordinary dragon.

Yet the Ancestral Red Dragon’s entire body operated with agility, the colossal force in its dragon claws transferred to the ground beneath, creating cracks while moving, but the sharp blades on its wings slashed through the air, aiming to cleave the Blue Dragon Knight in two.

Meanwhile, a high-temperature pillar of fire erupted from its mouth at the moment the heart energy protection was shattered by the Lightning Breath, opposing the lightning.
