Beneath the Red Dragon

In the sky, the golems of stone and bone, warriors of steel and iron, fell like a meteor shower.

The towering giants at the forefront were still striving to batter down the city walls, aiming to breach this obstacle and crush the insignificant races within.

But the heavy armor Imperial Guard in mid-air uniformly gripped their horse-slaying heavy blades, the clanging sound of their armor twisting continuously as they infused their formidable power into the Blade of Destruction held by the Imperial Guard warriors.

So at that exact moment, they cast down the Sword of Death from the heights above.

Dozens of vibrating horse-slaying heavy blades wrapped in intense Light of Heart Energy sliced through the air from above, with a piercing whistle akin to the roaring crossbow of a Dragon-Hunting Giant Crossbow, bringing a warning of death atop the giants’ heads.

Several giants had no time to react. Their swinging big sticks and giant hammers remained lodged in the battlements, unable to retract as they faced the judgment of death.

Poof, poof, poof,

Each massive horse-slaying heavy blade reached its destination ahead of its owner. In the presence of the giant heavy blade, capable of slicing through everything mortal in the world, even the stone-armored Stone Giants were powerless to stop it.

The Swords of Death cast down from on high pierced and split through the attacking giants’ heads, cleaving each roaring giant into two from head to crotch.

The giants’ enormous bodies suddenly split apart, their unstoppable might bathes in the giants’ blood, deeply embedded into the ground.

In front of the city walls, the tumultuous battle instantly quieted, leaving only the echoing roars of the giants’ remains and the heavy sounds of the Imperial Guard warriors landing and treading.

Bang, bang, bang,

Each Imperial Guard warrior bent their legs slightly, landing in front of their still-quivering weapons, grasping their horse-slaying heavy blades with one hand, their heavy bodies and Achilles heavy armor pressing deeply into the ground.

As the Imperial Guard warriors landed, golems of various shapes also descended, falling directly into the crowded ogres and Giant Demon Species below the city.

Though the ogres and Giant Demons numbered in the hundreds, each robust and exceptionally strong, they wielded their weapons in a futile attempt to smash the descending golems at low altitudes.

But golems are not flesh and blood. The heavy golems, as solid as steel and iron, carried immense kinetic energy, crushing some foolish giant subspecies into thin layers of pulp, blood splattering everywhere.

The entrance of the Golem Legion forced these Giant Subspecies to turn around, unable to continue their assault on Bay Stream City. The oppressive presence exuded by the Imperial Guard warriors’ landing also incited dread in these formidable races.

Instinctively, they avoided the warriors who calmly wiped their massive horse-slaying blades on this battlefield. But under the giants’ command, they had no choice but to charge at the golem legion and Imperial Guard warriors with their flesh.

But these Giant Subspecies were never a concern for the Imperial Guard warriors.

The Golem Legion had already marched into the ranks of the enemy, trading the ironclad bodies of the golems for the flesh and blood of their foes. Ordinary golems needed no additional abilities to dominate the battlefield with sheer strength and fortified bodies.

Bang,

The ancient ogres howled, striking with their giant rods at the mechanical shaping joints of a particular Giant Stone Golem. The blows shattered the joint covering of the Giant Stone Golem, causing a layer of fragmented coating to fall off.

A few Giant Demons separately attacked around this Giant Stone Golem, utilizing immense force to knock off the rocky skin, retreating and attacking in coordination, using tribal beast pack hunting tactics from the wild to wear down the golem, trying to consume it gradually.

Yet the momentum of the Giant Stone Golem continued unabated, its quaking body striding forward, a massive fist clenched like a heavy hammer sweeping down, directly blasting an ogre’s body into the crowd.

The golem’s arms suddenly stretched outwards, sweeping around and forcing nearby enemies to retreat. Then the cumbersome pace of the golem began to gradually accelerate, charging forward withstanding attacks, toppling the ogres in its path, and then stepping down, crushing them underfoot.

The Clay Golems’ resistance to heavy weapons was slightly better and more agile, often only enduring a few blows before accelerating, utilizing their giant species’ innate abilities to start rampaging through the enemy.

One by one, the golems engaged in a life-for-life massacre amidst their own rapid depletion.

The orders given to the golems were to kill all these Giant Subspecies, with their damage not being a concern for the Elemental Soul.

Seeing this support arriving, the Storm Giants were revitalized. Led by Giant Garcia, they too brandished their weapons, roaring as they joined the fray, seeking to eliminate the giants’ minions and then unite in driving the giants away.

The battle erupting behind did not affect the Imperial Guard warriors.

Each facing the encroaching giants with their backs to the city, they pulled their weapons from the ground, the blood-red, dim gauntlets gently wiping over the heavy blade’s edge, allowing themselves to be surrounded by giants.

With the actions of the Imperial Guard warriors, the once razor-sharp blade ignited with the Light of Heart Energy. The magic core on the horse-slaying heavy blades was activated by the Imperial Guard warriors.

A burst of blood-colored flame spread along the long blade, covering the entire blade. Under the output of the Magic Core, the surging flames emitted a silent vibration, resonating with the humming blade.
