Beneath the Red Dragon

The ascending Mage Towers are just a small step in the Imperial construction of an aerial defense system. These mages have been mobilized with enthusiasm to survey and plot trajectories for the subsequent ascending Mage Towers.

According to the defense system construction documents from the military department, over the current territorial area, the future Imperial skies will need at least dozens of Mage Towers to rise.

These Mage Towers will orbit the Imperial skies like stars in the celestial Star Realm, flying day and night along the constructed orbits, forming the unbreakable iron dome of the Golden Empire and its most formidable offensive weapon.

However, even the Mage Towers are merely preparations for the subsequent Floating City plan. Therefore, these mages must collect data and perform vast calculations to build a perfect orbit for the future defense system.

Beside these busy mages, tower several massive golems. This Golem Legion is composed of various types of golems such as Clay Golems, Iron Golems, Alchemy Golems, Giant Stone Golems, and Dragon Bone Golems.

The souls driving these golems come from elemental life forms captured by the Empire from smaller planes. This batch of standard golems is also a product of experimentation.

This batch will be deployed by the floating Mage Towers into various Imperial border cities to bolster the Empire’s defensive strength and test and collect related data for scholars to improve upon in the future.

Responsible for deploying this Golem Legion and overseeing these mages are warriors clad in Achilles heavy magical armor, the strongest unit within the Empire—the Emperor’s Forbidden Army.

The Forbidden Army, in a way, embodies the will of the Ancestral Red Dragon and holds an esteemed status within the Empire.

Their Achilles heavy magical armor signifies that so long as these Imperial Guard Warriors stand, their vulnerability is reserved for their enemies, and they will forever possess immense strength, proving how formidable this custom armor, bound to their souls, truly is.

The Horse-Slaying Heavy Blades wielded by the Imperial Guard Warriors are high-end weapons developed by the Magic Integration Department of the Empire. Enveloped in magic steel, they are imbued with magic that transforms high-temperature flames into plasma. Driven by the warriors’ own Heart Energy, these blades can be turned into high-density sharp edges capable of cutting through any steel.

Thus, when these warriors, through magic projection inside the tower, noticed the movements in Bay Stream City, they calmly picked up their Horse-Slaying Heavy Blades, went to the Mage Tower’s transmission deployment device, and waited quietly.

The Advanced Mage overseeing the transmission device widened his eyes, watching as the giants charged the walls of Bay Stream City, angrily exclaiming, ”These stupid dogs crawling out from sewers and foothills, if only the Mage Towers were more complete and could carry the latest magic-driven siege cannons, I’d blast these filthy dog-like creatures to bits.”

”Get ready,” the mage called, waving his hand: ”The Floating Tower is rapidly descending and will reach the predetermined deployment distance in half a moment.”

Click-click-click,

The face armor on the Dragon-faced Helmets of each Imperial Guard Warrior closed with a series of continuous sounds, their intense gaze piercing fiercely through the mighty dragon-faced helmet.

Boom,

The giants at the forefront, along with ogres and giant demon species, had already reached below the city walls, their massive forms swinging weapons to smash against the low city walls, tearing gaps into them.

Though the giants left behind a few corpses, and the others were more or less injured, the thick-skinned giants remained unstoppable against the scant forces in Bay Stream City.

The One-Eyed Giant Asis also swung his massive bone hammer, preparing to unleash a powerful blow to rupture Bay Stream City’s gates.

However, from the sky, suddenly descended a brightness akin to daylight, as a concentrated beam of light projected from the high-altitude clouds, casting down upon the ground.

The One-Eyed Giant Asis looked up, a mighty tower levitated in mid-air, projecting vast beams of light from its base. Within the stable, oscillating beams, warriors clad in blood-colored armor descended from above, their flowing blood-colored cloaks fluttering like fiery banners.

One by one, massive golems, like meteorites, crashed to the ground, landing directly on the giants’ heads.
