Beneath the Red Dragon

White Dragon Gomot’s scales resembled pieces of sculpted ice crystals, with its body coiled and hovering in the air. Its frost-forged head was held high, its icy blue pupils fixed on the two mutant dragons emerging from the black clouds in the sky.

Having broken through the Realm of Eternal Punishment, Blue Dragon Carlette, covered in blood, with one wing torn and fractured, stumbled out. Green Dragon Ali’s scales were tightly locked, releasing all her magic power as she spotted an opening, hastily darting out from the realm.

”Come behind me, Carlette,” Blue Dragon Akzhi said in a deep voice.

Blue Dragon Akzhi’s huge horn concealed a cerulean current, and his thick body stretched horizontally in the air, locking onto the two terrifying dragons with dragon-like tactics, covering the retreat of his allies.

Green Dragon Ali did not hide behind the two male dragons, but instead stood shoulder to shoulder with them, facing the enemies in the sky.

Within the Gogomola Dragon Group, all the dragons were young. Youth was their advantage, as they had yet to mature, possessing wide developmental and adjustment potential.

But youth was also their disadvantage, meaning it was difficult for them to gain a strength advantage against much older dragons.

The two opposing dragons were clearly within an age range ascertainable in dragon perception, as they were two dragons in adulthood.

Multi-headed dragons, though considered a weaker species, comparable to White Dragons among the Five-Color Dragons, could only grow a fifth head akin to legendary strength during the Ancient Dragon Period.

Yet, an adult multi-headed dragon had enough physical strength to exhibit a frontal overwhelming advantage over these young dragons.

Moreover, these creatures, like multi-headed snake lizards, possessed robust vitality, needing all heads severed to fully kill such a creature.

The black clouds covering the sky were a unique spell ability of this species—dark skill, foul cloud skill, and death cloud skill. These spells could greatly obscure adversaries’ perception abilities and restrict their activities, allowing multi-headed dragons to attack at will.

This was why despite multi-headed dragons not being strong as a race, their list of foes still included Red Dragons and Storm Giants.

No one knew the origins of these multi-headed dragons. They were ancient enough that some sages and scholars believed they were an ancient branch of prehistoric dragons that had hibernated for millions of years.

Other scholars thought these multi-headed dragons branched down from high-level dragons, born modified by supernatural forces, like the Five-Colored Dragon God Tiamat.

Another dragon warranted careful vigilance from Blue Dragon Akzhi and White Dragon Gomot.

”Eternal Punishment Dragon,”

White Dragon Gomot, having studied the dragon heritage within his bloodline, bared his teeth and coldly uttered three words.

The Eternal Punishment Dragon, a powerful dragon, ranked among the top giant dragons even among all True Dragon Species in Icaria World.

Before reaching youth stage, the Eternal Punishment Dragon surpassed even the strongest Red Dragon Species among the Five-Color Dragons, not only due to its innate breath abilities—Decomposition Force Field and Weakening Gas Breath.

The former was an incredibly powerful offensive breath ability, while the latter was a mighty auxiliary offensive breath ability. Those affected by the latter, if their willpower was not strong enough, would be influenced like facing a negative skill such as an overwhelming despair.

These dragons possessed strong spell-like abilities of varying uses and if it weren’t for their habit of residing in places separate from many True Dragon Species, they might be revered by many creatures.

Only upon reaching adulthood would the Red Dragons, with their rapidly growing strength, catch up to and gradually surpass these giant dragons.

”You are also a giant dragon. Why willingly align with giants? You should be soaring through the skies alongside us,”

”You should belong to the Realm of the Dragons,”

White Dragon Gomot’s eyes swept over the orderly legion commanders atop the city walls, ordering warriors to load crossbows and cannons to fend off the giants outside the walls.

His and Akzhi’s mission was to hold off these two agile adult dragons, capable of significant destructive and impact capabilities on the battlefield.

According to the Imperial Defense Directive, every city’s Dragon Lord, faced with unforeseen danger, could issue a third-level alert, summoning Dragon Lords from neighboring cities to help repel enemies.

A third-level alert meant a single city’s and the Dragon Lord’s strength was insufficient to repel the danger, requiring nearby cities’ Dragon Lords to provide support.

If the initially assembled forces were insufficient to resist the city’s threat, the Dragon Lord could escalate the alert level until reaching the highest level of defense directive.

This was a component of the expanding Golden Empire’s preliminary defense system.

White Dragon Gomot, Blue Dragon Akzhi, and Green Dragon Ali needed only to buy time, await new dragons joining the battle, or wait for their warriors to deal with the giants outside before driving the adult giant dragons away.

”Hehe, dragons don’t have this concept, even if we all call ourselves giant dragons,”

His face bore perpetual ridicule and mockery, but it was just the normal expression of an Eternal Punishment Dragon, who stuck his head out from the black clouds. The mocking expression became vivid because, at this moment, this dragon was genuinely laughing at White Dragon Gomot’s words.
