Beneath the Red Dragon

”Damn,”

The deadly strike was easily deflected, and the Blue Dragon Knight stomped the ground, shattering it, transforming into a bolt of lightning and disappearing, only to reappear in midair above the massive body of the Red Dragon. The Great Serpent Sword in his hand emanated a mighty aura that intimidated the Dragon Race, cutting straight down.

Although the true form of the Giant Dragon was formidable, its massive body sometimes became a weakness when fighting against agile and small enemies.

The Blue Dragon Knight, having experienced countless battles, naturally knew how to hunt a Giant Dragon.

This seemingly ordinary move, when executed by the Blue Dragon Knight, had the momentum of a Divine Mountain crushing down, slashing straight down, with violent and brilliant azure lightning entwined around the Great Serpent Sword that could cleave even a Refined Iron body.

But then the pupils of the Blue Dragon Knight suddenly dilated. Such a fierce blow, even if it were faster, the towering Red Dragon would find it hard to evade and could only resist head-on.

However, as the whistling blade cut down, it struck the ground directly, with the sword tip hitting the ground and causing a surge of earth, unveiling a trench dozens of meters long and over ten meters deep.

Azuring lightning rolled forth, unleashing immense power along the trench, tearing out hundreds of small charred fissures around, but the body of the Red Dragon had already vanished.

In Karon’s slit pupils, information about the knight’s battle techniques flowed rapidly, with the sub-brain instantly gathering and recording the knight’s skills. But his body emerged from a flame behind the Blue Dragon Knight.

The stark white fangs and ornate head also at this moment transformed from illusion to a concrete and real existence.

The elemental transformation of the body, although somewhat similar to abilities exhibited in the world of the Demon Dragons, was actually different in essence.

This ability was a combat technique favored by the higher lords in the Abyssal Purgatory, like the Balrog Flame Demon, and the Ancestral Red Dragon, having ’humbly learned’ and grasping the understanding of flame, had effortlessly mastered this method and technique, though seldom needing to employ it.

But the Blue Dragon Knight before him was indeed worthy of being an experienced Dragon Slayer Knight. Even if Karon’s speed was enough to dodge the knight’s attack, he found it difficult to shake off the lock of the Blue Dragon Knight, forced to counterattack passively. This caused the Red Dragon to reveal another ability slightly.

Karon’s head emerged from the illusion, opening his mouth; his long fangs gleamed with a chilling cold light, as the lethal Red Dragon bite descended.

In this split-second lightning and fire moment, the Blue Dragon Knight could no longer avoid the attack of the Ancestral Red Dragon. He could only roar, offering his second head into the mouth of the Red Dragon, with the Ancestral Red Dragon’s fangs piercing through his neck.

The Great Serpent Sword in his hand was held in reversed position on the gauntlet, with azure lightning coursing atop it, thrusting toward the jaw of the Ancestral Red Dragon—where the Reverse Scale had fallen and it was now the weakest point.

Thud,

The Great Serpent Sword, carrying unmatched electric brilliance, plunged directly into the skin beneath the jaw of the Ancestral Red Dragon, but before the Blue Dragon Knight’s joy could surge, that unmatched lightning immediately discharged, splitting into the air as the form of the Red Dragon once again turned illusory, vanishing above.

The Blue Dragon Knight’s attack left only a drop of the searing blood of the Ancestral Red Dragon, but his own head was torn off by the Ancestral Red Dragon, breaking through the dragon scale chain armor on his shoulder and ripping away a large chunk of flesh from his shoulder.

After several successive clashes, the proud Blue Dragon Knight hadn’t gained much advantage, which made his slit pupils turn bloodshot, ranting into a frenzy.

Violent lightning coiled around him as he stood in place, opening his mouth, grasping the Great Serpent Sword in reverse and thrusting it into his own mouth, consuming it.

But at this moment, the body of the Ancestral Red Dragon appeared, pressing down with its claw from above the Blue Dragon Knight, which was the Red Dragon’s favorite attack strategy; it loved to trample the dignity of its enemies, crushing its enemies’ flesh and spirit against the ground.

Bang, the Ancestral Red Dragon’s claw strike landed, punching through the ground with a strong boom and huge dust, but this powerful strike also missed.

”Just a bit more, although I can’t elementalize, I also have the speed you never had.”

The voice of the Blue Dragon Knight came from a short distance away, and Karon looked up, squinting his eyes.

The blue current on the Blue Dragon Knight had completely receded, but his true form was now liberated.

This was a strange Blue Dragon, twenty-three meters long, possessing the body and horns of a Blue Dragon, but its head was somewhat similar to a Gargoyle.

It had bat-like wings, and its dragon tail, like a whip, had a hooked end, curled like a combination or hybrid of a Gargoyle and Blue Dragon.

”First generation Abishalom Demon?”

Karon stopped and stood still, furrowing his brows.

”Your insight is quite unusual for a common Giant Dragon, Red Dragon. You deserve to die by my hand,” said the first generation Ashabi Blue Dragon Demon, once a Dragon Hunting Knight, with its menacing mouth splitting open in a cold smile.

The Ashabi Dragon Demon was a ruthless interrogator and warden in the Nine Prisons, loyal to Tiamat.

It’s rumored that non-dragon followers of Tiamat would appear in the Immortal Dragon Queen’s Divine Kingdom in the form of serpentine souls.

And those souls deemed particularly valuable by her would undergo indescribable torments to become the lowest-level white Abishalom Demon, while other souls would be traded to ravenous demon patrons for Golden Gems.
