Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 377: Chapter 144: The First Nightmare (3)

Or rather, relative to the base number of the infinite Multi-Cosmos, most worlds don’t have such a grotesque thing; only a few special worlds do.

No one knows the true purpose of the Magic Goddess for creating such a thing, but the explanations circulating in many worlds are varied. To Karon, it’s just another display of ambition.

And this Magic Goddess descended from above the Star Realm into this Cosmos, intending to weave and extend her Magic Net, but was captured and imprisoned by the already prepared Magic Kings.

Unlike the Dark Lord Glazite, who was once imprisoned in the Material World for a century, the Magic Goddess was not only imprisoned by the Magic Kings but was also killed by them.

Although the Magic Goddess high in the Star Realm was a Divine Spirit of strong Divine Power, upon descending into this Cosmos, she did not possess overwhelming power.

The time machine experiments left by the Ancient Magic Kings on the mysterious side were based on the research of the Magic Goddess.

However, having undergone growth and transformation, Karon no longer needs the spiritual enhancement from these time Secret Treasures to step into his own Spiritual Domain.

Karon surveyed the surroundings; he can now see the Spiritual Domains of nearby creatures, and his Eye of Spirit can even see the dreams of his subjects within a certain range, countless loyal Warriors of the Dragons shedding blood on the battlefield.

Countless Beastmen and Fishmen fell before the Warriors, and many Warriors also perished under the enemy’s sword.

Karon couldn’t help but furrow the fine scales formed by Spirit on his brow, clearly, a war is happening within the domain, invaded by Beastmen and Fishmen.

A strong anger arose in Karon’s heart, but he had no intention of waking up. Although he regarded the domain as a garden of enjoyment and nourishment for growth, his growth at this moment is more important.

Karon restrained his anger, continuing to explore hidden threats; as long as he could locate the opponent, he would be able to eradicate them from the Material World upon awakening.

Numerous Lights of Spirit swept past his gaze, many chaotic dreams inadvertently glimpsed by him, where he saw fragments of the dream of the Young Red Dragon Kedelos.

This Young Red Dragon was having a sweet dream, envisioning opening the Dragon Group’s Treasure Vault and enjoying it all alone. The Young Red Dragon excitedly rolled over the endless Gold Coin in the vault, heaps of Gold Coins like wheat and rice scattering over Kedelos’ Dragon Claw.

”Heh, this Red Dragon, really used to poverty. Gold Coins are the least valuable thing in the Treasure Vault,” Karon couldn’t help but sneer as he looked at the Young Red Dragon’s dream.

Several White Dragon dreams flashed by, countless Frost Giants roared and attacked a few White Dragons, forcing the White Dragons to flee in all directions, clearly leaving deep shadows and lessons from the Frost Giants.

There was also the dream of the Green Dragon Ali, who was having a pleasant dream, dreaming of dominating the majestic Giant Dragon King’s Castle, becoming the supreme master of the Dragon Group, with female Dragons as attendants and male Dragons as consorts.

Just when Karon was about to laugh, his gaze froze; a faint, almost imperceptible aura and fluctuation spread from the Spiritual Domain of Green Dragon Ali.

This aura and fluctuation were so weak that Karon might not have noticed if it weren’t completely different from Green Dragon Ali.

This Green Dragon, unexpectedly, had some existence parasitizing their Spiritual Domain.

”Got you,” Karon’s gaze flashed with icy cold light, about to leave the Spiritual Realm and return to the Sea of Spiritual.

However, the fluctuation and aura seemed to notice the Red Dragon’s probing, rapidly expanding, and a mysterious and formless power linked through Green Dragon Ali’s Spiritual Domain, connecting to Karon’s Spiritual Realm, dragging Karon’s spiritual consciousness into the interconnecting realm.

”Hehe, I initially planned to digest this Titan Spirit, transform Titan Flesh into my real body to descend into the world again, then devour all you Dragons as my nourishment, but since you’ve discovered me, you aren’t leaving!”

A phantasmal, eerie laugh and overlapping voices sounded in Karon’s ears as he saw through the phantom mist that he was in his King’s Castle.

And in the depths of the mist, a massive lump of fragmented flesh exuded the scent of real flesh and blood. This huge lump of fragmented meat was enough to bury Karon’s body, with a giant cocoon as tall as several people buried within this bloody, fragmented mass.

The cocoon was expanding and contracting like it had its life, like breathing. Each contraction absorbed many flesh and turned into flowing blood lines on the cocoon.

Inside the cocoon, Karon saw a mysterious creature taking shape in the continuous nurturing of flesh and blood, with a pair of pitch-black, twisted ram horns already transformed into a tangible body out of spirit.

”Nightmare, the original Nightmare.” Karon uttered a few words, large fangs clashed in his spiritual form, sparking a few sparks.

This strange creature was indeed a Nightmare, the original Nightmare species born in the world, unlike the Demon Nightmare in the Abyss or other evil planes that frequently appeared resembling horse-shaped demons.

This original Nightmare was also born from the primordial Spiritual Dream of living beings, very few in number, very mysterious. If it wasn’t for Karon’s sleep and digestion of more Dragon legacy knowledge, he wouldn’t have recognized this incredibly powerful yet incredibly weak creature.

”Hehe, you truly are a pure-blood True Dragon with a legacy, even aware of my existence,” a devil-like whispering voice sounded in Karon’s ears.

The Nightmare nurtured in the cocoon spoke mockingly: ”Those who know me will be killed by me. This Supreme Celestial Titan, a powerful Celestial Realm creature, I also stirred his fear, transforming it into an enemy that killed him, his body and Soul were devoured by me,”

”Let me, the great King of Nightmares, see what you, a weak Red Dragon, fear!”
