Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 361: Chapter 139: Battle of Redemption (Part 3)

But they also carried short crossbows, which they shot one by one into the Beastmen’s bodies wrapped in Beast hides, until the short arrows in their quivers were exhausted.

Then they drew out long-handled crescent sabers, and as they skimmed over the heads of the Beastmen, they used their speed to easily cut off the heads of these Beastmen.

And the Giant claws of the Two-legged Flying Dragons could even more effortlessly tear these Beastmen’s bodies to shreds, pierce through their heads, picking them up one by one before slamming them heavily to the ground.

The Beastmen, on the other hand, showed no fear, drawing their bows in unison, the twang of bowstrings resounding continuously. Even as the Giant Dragons and Flying Dragons moved at high speeds, many arrows still managed to hit these large targets.

Though most Beastmen’s arrows were made from Beast bone, the defense of the Two-legged Flying Dragons was not as strong as Giant Dragon Scale armor. The intense assault caused one after another of the Flying Dragons to fall mid-air, crashing into the Beastman Army below.

Moreover, the Personal Guard Warriors beside other Tribal Leaders of the Beastmen fearlessly wielded their weapons, slicing open the leather armor of the Flying Dragons and hacking apart the claws of the Flying Dragons.

Bang, a Flying Dragon was precisely shot in its vulnerable eye by an arrow, deeply penetrating into its brain. With a wail, the Two-legged Flying Dragon plummeted from the sky above the Beastmen.

The Knight on its back performed a roll, the crescent saber in his hand drawing a shining arc of blade light, slicing into pieces the two Beastmen charging at the forefront.

Watching the advancing Beastmen, the Knight tightened his grip on his long saber and roared, ”Come on, you vermin, my flesh may perish, but my soul eternally belongs to the Holy Hall!”

At this moment, the radiant blade light outshone the sun in the sky, and the Knight charged into the crowd, with blood and flesh flying.

Roar,

Several arrows struck the belly of the Blue Dragon Carlette, some of the bronze arrowheads barbed and sharp, posing a serious threat without any magic enhancement, capable of wounding the soft underbelly of the Giant Dragon.

Yet the Blue Dragon didn’t roar in anger for the wounds on her body.

Seeing Flying Dragons fall one after another, Knights dying in sieges, while the rest of the Beastman Army, under the Chieftain’s command, began to slice through this part of the battlefield, continuing to advance into the core of the Dragon Group Territory, filled her heart with anxiety.

”Follow me, Ali,” Blue Dragon Carlette roared out to the Green Dragon behind, leading the Green Dragon and the rest of the Flying Dragon Riders over the Beastmen, charging towards the regrouping Beastman Army.

”Stop, Beastmen, if you dare advance further, only death awaits you.”

The Blue Dragon spewed out robust, branching lightning from its mouth, striking down from above the Beastman Army’s heads, and then, along with the Green Dragon, they crashed heavily into the midst of the Beastman Army.

”Kill these two fools,” the Blue Dragon’s provocation enraged the Beastmen Warriors, prompting surrounding Beastmen Warriors to besiege these two defiant Giant Dragons. Even the Beastman Cavalry, initially running afar, reversed direction due to the audacious act of these two dragons, charging straight back.

Countless Beastmen raised their weapons to attack the two Giant Dragons, while distant archers also targeted the Flying Dragons gliding over the two dragons’ heads, drawing their bowstrings, sending an arrow rain whistling across the sky.

”Roar,”

Facing the surging crowd, both Giant Dragons opened their mouths wide, expelling fiery lightning and thick, foul poison in every direction. In the densely packed targets, the intense electric light incinerated over a dozen Beastmen into charcoal.

Meanwhile, the poison blinded the eyes of the surrounding Beastmen gathering up, caused their skin to ulcerate, leaving them collapsing on the ground, howling in pain.

”Blessing of Living Creatures.”

The Beastman Caster finally reacted, raising the magic staff in his hand high, enveloping the Beastman Warriors with a layer of Magical Radiance, enabling them to resist the Dragon Power suppression and defend against the Giant Dragons’ breath attacks.

More Beastman Warriors surged forward, wielding wooden shields layered with layers of cowhide. These shields were extremely tough; even a frontal strike from the two adolescent Giant Dragons couldn’t shatter them at once.

Additionally, many Beastmen wielded hook locks and chain nets, each hook lock featuring sharp iron hooks, with the chain nets embedded with backward hooks.

Though these Beastmen didn’t possess the powerful weapons of their kin to threaten the lives of the Giant Dragons, they had their own methods.

By restricting the movement space of these beings with flying abilities, they could quickly resolve these creatures. The strategically prepared Beastmen revealed their method.

In the next moment, countless hook locks and hook nets scattered like a sky-filling network toward the two Giant Dragons, the sharp backwards hooks embedding into the cracks between the Dragon Scales.

Even the dragons’ tails and heads were snagged by sharp backwards hooks. Countless Beastmen began shouting loudly, pulling with all their might. The combined strength of these Beastmen was enormous, managing to restrain the two Giant Dragons.

The Blue Dragon and Green Dragon struggled fiercely, snapping the hook locks twisted from thick vines. Dragon scales carrying dragon blood and hook locks continuously burst apart, yet more hook locks and chain nets fell, entangling the two Giant Dragons once again.

Countless wild grasses and vines grew wildly, striking at the surrounding Beastmen, with dense poison mist spreading everywhere.

The vast ocean of lightning transformed into a storm of thunder. Recklessly, the Blue Dragon had gone into a combat frenzy, all its Magic Power extracted, turning into a thunderous onslaught that kept the nearby Beastmen at bay temporarily.

Rumbling, the ground trembled, dust danced into the air.

A rolling long dragon came from the distance, led by Centaur Chiron and the Centaur Corps, alongside a mixed Heavy Cavalry, navigating around a hill to attack from the flank.

The Dragon Knight Cavalry’s advance speed increased, the tremendous impact shaking every Beastman, involuntarily drawing their gaze.

One thousand armored Centaur Corps and eight hundred mixed Heavy Cavalry charged through billowing dust, their gleaming blades slicing the air, bringing a herald of death, aiming for a frontal assault on the Beastman Army.

Along with several thousand Kobold and Green-skinned Army members riding Earth Wolves and Beasts, holding their short crossbows and firearms, they spread to the flanks, moving to encircle the Beastman Army.

”Enemy attack!”

The Beastmen Warriors shouted loudly, turning towards the incoming threat, not daring to relax, for in this world, no cavalry could surpass the centaur warriors!

The two Giant Dragons became even more frenzied, seeing the arrival of allied reinforcements, spewing all their Magic Power forth, their roars echoing through the heavens and earth.

Boom,

In the next moment, the Centaur Cavalry crashed directly into the Beastman Army, the world crumbling and the earth shattering!
